Camilla Luddington Flashes The Cleave

This Camilla Luddington chick looks familiar, I think she was the hot babysitter from this past season of Californication , and I think I’m in love with her. Here she is on the red carpet for something dropping a whole hell of a lot of cleavage. Alright, well not really cleavage, but a whole lot of skin anyway. Besides, I saw her breasts pretty much every episode she was in so I can use my imagination any time I want. Like… Now.

Robin Gibb Dead at 62

Robin Gibb, one of three brothers who made up the Bee Gees and their now-iconic 1970s sound, has died. The singer succumbed to cancer at 62. Gibb ” passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery,” said a statement, which was attributed to Robin’s family. He died in England at 10:47 a.m., according to his family. Diagnosed with colon and liver cancer, Gibb had been in a coma as he battled pneumonia earlier this spring, representative Doug Wright said. Doctors believe that Gibb had a secondary tumor, for which he had emergency surgery in 2010 for a blocked bowel and then had more surgery. The only surviving member of the three Bee Gees is brother Barry, 65. Robin’s twin brother, Maurice, died in 2003 from similar health problems. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame says on its website of Gibb’s band: “In the 1970s, the Bee Gees dominated dance floors and airwaves. With their matching white suits, soaring high harmonies and polished, radio-friendly records, they remain one of the essential touchstones to that ultra-commercial era.” Bee Gees – Stayin’ Alive News of his death set off a torrent of reaction in social media. Musician Bryan Adams, for instance, lamented “another great singer dying too young.” “The Bee Gees were/are the gold standard when it comes to pop/r&b melody, harmony and vocal arrangement. Massive loss,” wrote Claude Kelly. Fellow British band Duran Duran and current pop sensation Bruno Mars were among many who posted their condolences to Gibb’s brothers. [Photo: WENN.com]

Miley Cyrus at the Billboard Music Awards: Too Hot or Too Far?

It is most definitely official: Miley Cyrus can’t be tamed. Just a few days after she said in an interview that those who criticize her skimpy outfits are sexist , the young singer went all out at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards… by hanging pretty much all out on the red carpet. See for yourself: Very little even needs to be said about this outfit, considering how very little it leaves to the imagination. Do you admire Cyrus for taking such a provocative stand? Or think this is positively no way for any 19-year old to stand? Vote now: Miley’s fashion selection is…

Rihanna: Naked, Scaly on Facebook

Rihanna’s showing off her body – there’s a big stunner for you – in a new photo posted on Facebook. It’s from her recent video shoot. Like you care. The 24-year-old, in behind-the-scenes photos from the set of her “Where Have You Been” music video , is completely topless. Nothing unusual. Her breasts are covered by reptile scales, though. That’s unusual … In the video, Rihanna and a slew of shirtless men adventure through a swamp, which good explain the reptilian theme for part of the extravagant effort. The star’s latest topless shot isn’t the first time she’s left little to the imagination … this month. Not even two weeks ago, she was grinding at a strip club. She also took her top off in Hawaii, played with white powder on her bodyguard’s head, etc. There’s a reason she’s Top 10 worldwide in Twitter fans. One cautionary note, though. Why would Hugh Hefner want to pay $1 million for Rihanna in Playboy if she’s already giving it away for free 24/7? Think about it, Rih. Leave ’em wanting more.

Movies vs. Cable TV: Who Does Childbirth Better?

“[C]ompare the breaking-water scenes in What to Expect and Showtime’s Shameless . In the former, when a character’s husband steps in a puddle in the hospital, she responds, ‘That’s my water, you idiot!’ In the latter, a young woman in labor unleashes a string of curses before wondering whether she just urinated on herself. True to that spirit, the Shameless birth scene leaves nothing to the imagination, and the show’s props workers devised what co-executive producer Mark Mylod calls a ‘prosthetic rig’ to simulate crowning: ‘It was almost like part of a small tennis ball, really.’ ‘There wasn’t any debate,’ Mr. Mylod says. ‘It just seemed the obvious thing to do, just because of the whole tenor and tone of our particular show and the liberating circumstances of being on pay cable. If we want to do that, we can do that.'” Now you know. [ WSJ ]

Maryse Ouellet French Canadian Hotness

I post a lot of pictures of French Canadian hottie Maryse Ouellet , she and I have been having an internet love affair for years now, but I rarely get shots of her wearing so much clothing. What the hell? Alright so it’s a tight, short dress that doesn’t leave a whole lot to the imagination, but she’s still covering up most of the good parts. Has internet fame gone to her head? She’s too good to be posing with her booty in the air with a fan blowing her skirt up? What’s happened to you?

Santigold Says Earl Sweatshirt Collabo ‘Will Be Done Soon’

Though she’s just released her Master of My Make-Believe album, Santi’s already prepping a new track with the Odd Future member. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Uptin Saiidi Santigold Photo: MTV News On her just-released Master of My Make-Believe album, Santigold strives to reinvent (or reinterpret) reality … which, as you might expect, was a challenge, to say the very least. “It’s about accepting that your fantasy is actually your reality, and trusting your imagination, and trusting that your imagination is actually a real sense of knowing, ” she told MTV News. “It was about navigating through my mind, my emotions, and realizing I was in control. I had to trust my vision and my creativity and really own the art I was making … I had to grow into accepting that. It took a tremendous amount of trust in myself.” And while she spent much of the past year working under conditions both real and surreal, Santi also found time to collaborate with ( finally free ) Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt on a new track. But since the collaboration was revealed via Twitter back in February , there’s been no updates on just when fans would be able to hear the track. So, when Santi stopped by the MTV Newsroom earlier this week, we asked her for the latest … and just how the unlikely team-up happened in the first place. “I saw a tweet. I guess somebody re-tweeted that Earl said ‘I like Santigold, would love to do something.’ And I was like, ‘OK!’ ” she laughed. “I mean, he’s so cool, he’s such a cute, awesome dude. And they were at Coachella, and they were the first ones up onstage — we invite people up onstage [during her performance] — and they came and did some major booty-shaking moves. And a couple of them came to our MOCA show in LA. We did this event that Mike D curated … and they came there and caught the show.” So, when can we hear it? Well, with a new album out, Santigold’s plate is pretty full right now, though she swears she’s going to get the track out as soon as she finds a free second. “I don’t have many plans these days. I just kinda, like, soon as I can get stuff done,” she said. “It’s something I really want to do, so hopefully it will be done soon.” What do you think of an Earl Sweatshirt/Santigold collabo? ‘Dark Shadows’ Sneak Peek Reveals Johnny Depp’s De-Fanging Plan

New featurette is dedicated to late star of original soap, Jonathan Frid. By John Mitchell Johnny Depp in “Dark Shadows” Photo: Warner Bros With just two weeks left until the big release of “Dark Shadows,” Warner Bros. is stoking the coals of excitement with a new featurette that brings not only behind-the-scenes interviews and footage, but offers up an important new plot detail from the film. “The legend of the vampire has been told for centuries, capturing the dark shadows of our imagination and inspiring filmmakers and actors to breathe new life into the undead,” a voice-over reminds us at the top of the clip. “But there’s never been a vampire like Barnabas Collins.” Depp said the idea to do the film came naturally to him and Burton, who have worked together on eight films. “I’d always been sort of attracted to horror films and things like that, even as a very young kid,” Depp explains. “I said, ‘Tim, we should do a vampire movie together.’ ” And when Johnny Depp and Tim Burton decide to do something, it has a way of getting done. A large part of the featurette focuses on the history of vampires in movies and reminds us that one of cinema’s great vampires, Christopher Lee, is featured in “Shadows.” “One of my favorite moments I’ve ever been able to experience in a film was I got to hypnotize Dracula; I got to hypnotize Christopher Lee,” Depp says. “He was, you know, the great Dracula.” To get into character as Barnabas Collins, Depp didn’t stray far from the source material. “For Barnabas, everywhere I searched character-wise, I kept coming back to Jonathan Frid,” the actor explains. “He really did something beautiful with that character on the ‘Dark Shadows’ series back in the ’60s and early ’70s.” Frid, who cameos in the film and is shown arriving at a party at Collinwood in the featurette, died earlier this month in his native Canada. The clip closes with an “In Memoriam” dedication to the classically trained actor, who maintained a close relationship with the show’s fans by appearing at “Shadows” conventions and readings as recently as 2011, before his health began to decline. The clip features some great new scenes from the film, including a fun bit where Depp’s Barnabas seeks advice from Chloe Moretz’s Carolyn Stoddard on “the art of courting a woman of this time,” but importantly introduces a major plot twist that we wondered (all the way back in October!) whether Burton would include in his film: Barnabas’ attempt to de-fang himself with the help of Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter) and become mortal again to pursue a romantic relationship with Bella Heathcote’s Victoria Winters. “If a man can become a monster, then a monster can become a man,” Barnabas says in a voice-over while Dr. Hoffman surveys large blood-filled beakers and Depp sits with IV lines running from him. It’s a story line carried over directly from both the original soap and its short-lived ’90s remake. (Indeed, this particular story line was the focus of NBC’s revival starring Ben Cross and Joanna Going.) “By tapping into vampires, witches, ghosts, the reason they’re powerful is because we all kind of experience those feelings on some level,” Burton says of the film. “It’s something that remains in our popular culture because it’s strangely part of our everyday lives.” Just two weeks to go, “Dark Shadows” fans!
