The blushing bride counted down the hours before saying “I do” via her Instagram on Friday. “Getting close @amberlysheltonpaperie,” Webb wrote, along with a picture of the couple’s wedding invitation. In a second photo, she showed off their wedding bands. “Ready for tomorrow! Jim Brown Believes Dan Gilbert Owes Lebron James A Public Apology Via TwinCities Cleveland’s greatest sports legend would have no problem with LeBron James returning to the city, but believes he only should under one condition. Jim Brown, the hall of fame Browns running back, believes James only should re-sign with the Cavaliers if owner Dan Gilbert makes a public apology. Gilbert criticized James in a scathing latter he wrote after James bolted from the Cavaliers to the Miami Heat in 2010. “The only way I would say that (James should return) is if he and Mr. Gilbert came to some greater understanding because I did not like the way that Mr. Gilbert portrayed him,’’ Brown said in a phone interview Monday with the Pioneer Press. “(For James to return), there’s got to be a public apology made by the owner. I don’t see it any other way.’’ Brown was asked if James should return to the Cavaliers without a public apology. “Hell no,’’ Brown said. The free-agent forward is deciding whether to leave the Heat or to join another team, with the Cavaliers being regarded as having a decent shot to get him back. Brown, who starred for Cleveland from 1957-65, said he would like to see James return to the city only if that’s what he truly wants. “If that’s what makes him happy,’’ Brown said. “I want him to do whatever’s best for him.’’ After James left the Cavaliers in 2010, he was ripped in the letter by Gilbert. The letter included Gilbert calling James, who played for the Cavaliers from 2003-10, a “former hero” and said he engaged in “cowardly betrayal” by leaving. “What I really disliked about (James) leaving was the manner in which Mr. Gilbert talked about him,’’ Brown said. George Zimmerman’s Libel Lawsuit Against NBC Thrown Out The same judge that presided over George Zimmerman’s trial recently dismissed his claims that NBC falsely portrayed him as a racist by shortening clips of him calling 911 the night he murdered Trayvon Martin. The Orlando Sentinel reports: Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson ruled that the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer is entitled to no money from the media giant. She issued a summary judgment in the network’s favor, meaning that unless an appeals court reverses her, the case is now dead. Zimmerman had filed suit two years ago, accusing NBC of falsely portraying him as a racist in a series of broadcasts shortly after he killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old, in Sanford. Editors shortened audio from a 911 call Zimmerman made to a police dispatcher the night of the shooting, making it sound as if Zimmerman volunteered that Trayvon was black and that he racially profiled the Miami Gardens teenager. In addition, Zimmerman accused the news organization of defaming him in a separate broadcast by falsely reporting that he used a racial epithet in the same call. The network fired two employees who were involved in the edits and made a public apology. At a hearing June 19, NBC attorney Lee Levine asked the judge to end the suit with a judgment in the network’s favor. Zimmerman is a public figure, Levine said, and could not prove that he was the victim of “actual malice”, meaning that NBC employees either knew what they reported was false or had serious misgivings about it. In her ruling, issued shortly before 9 a.m. today, Nelson wrote that that’s where Zimmerman’s suit fell apart. “There exists absolutely no clear and convincing evidence that defendants knew that the information published was false at the time it was published, or recklessly disregarded the truth or falsity of those statements. …,” she wrote. In the humor project which debuts next month, Rivers writes: “Many stars only do one thing well. Taxpayers Pay For Luxury Rehab For Teen Who Killed 4 People Despite killing four innocent people, Texas teen Ethan Couch will continue to live in the lap of luxury as he attends Newport Academy, a high-end rehab center in California. Via RadarOnline reports: After killing four innocent people last June during a drunken joy ride in Texas, teenager Ethan Couch was spared any jail time by a lenient judge after a doctor diagnosed the 16-year-old with “affluenza” — a sense of entitlement so extreme, due to his family’s wealth, that he had no concept of consequence — and now RadarOnline.com has learned the teenager’s rehab treatment is largely being paid for by the public! In what’s sure to cause public outrage, just as Couch’s sentence of just 10 years of probation did, taxpayers are footing the bill for the teen’s cushy $438,000 per year treatment. “Recently a judge ruled that the teen should be sent to North Texas State Hospital in Vernon. The hospital’s rehab program charges $700 a day, but since it is a partially state-funded institution, Couch’s parents would only be charges $38 per day for their son’s treatment,” Breitbart contributor Kenneth Webster said. “Thanks to taxpayers, Couch’s rehab bill has been dropped from $438,000 annually to only $13,870.” As Radar reported, Couch previously attended the Newport Academy, a high-end rehab center in Calif. that gives patients the opportunity for equine assisted psychotherapy where they can ride horses, a state-of-the-art gym facility, mixed martial arts lessons, opportunity for massages and cooking lessons. On top of the four victims who were killed by Couch’s reckless drive in his pickup truck following an alcohol-fueled party at the mansion his father gave him, 13-year-old Lucas McConnell was injured and his family has filed a civil lawsuit against the Couch family in which they are hoping for a jury trial. At least five other families recently settled with Couch’s affluent parents, Fred and Tonya. The latest development in the McConnell suit is that Texas Judge R.H. Wallace Jr. has ordered Couch’s attorneys to hand over the records of psychologist Dr. Dick Miller, who diagnosed Ethan with the “affluenza.” The judge also ordered records from the private Calif. facility where Couch is believed to have been treated for substance abuse. Couch’s legal team made it clear they plan to appeal the order, but will have to do so before the June 27 deadline. “The proper mechanism to have a higher court review an order of this type is a petition for writ of mandamus (or simply mandamus). A mandamus is like an appeal but can be filed in the middle of a case from an order related to discovery,” Couch’s attorney, Michael Yanof, told Radar. Welcome to AmeriKKKa!
