Celebrating the Jewish holiday of Purim at Manhattan hotspot Solo Saturday, Jersey Shore stars Snooki and Vinny emerged unscathed after the atrium shattered. Amazingly, it was not because Ronnie Magro threw some dude through the plate glass. The thing just plain collapsed . These things just happen sometimes, right? “Its okay Vin and I are still alive. Omg roof just collapsed at the purim event!,” Nicole Polizzi tweeted. “We thought the dj was beatin the beat hardcore but nope.” “The roof just couldn’t handle snooki and vin.” Definitely not. Vinny Guadagnino and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi are okay. Exhale. Summing it up, Snooki wrote: “The roof may have fallen and no 1 got hurt, but the party still goes on! I’m glad everyone’s ok. Thank you to the owners of Solo Restaurant for taking care of everybody and letting us keep the Purim Party poppin!” Well said, Snooks. Vinny Guadagnino , on the other hand, had a different take on it: “Roof just collapsed at Purim event…. I think me and @sn00ki felt the wrath for not being Jewish.” Luckily, only a few peeps suffered minor injuries, while the majority – Sex and the City’s Chris Noth among them – fist pumped late into the night after the incident.

By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway LMFAO’s Redfoo Photo: MTV News NEW YORK — LMFAO couldn’t let an opportunity like getting into an altercation with former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney pass without putting their unique twist on things. Redfoo and Sky Blu plan to release a new track on Friday titled “We Came to Party (The Vulcan Grip Mix)” inspired by the incident, where Romney and Sky Blu were whisked off an airplane after arguing with one another. The song, they said, will also double as the release for the pair’s next album, Don’t Judge Me, tentatively set for a summer release. “They call you suit and tie and you’se a politician,” Redfoo rapped the lines to MTV News. “They call me Superfly, I always got two bitches/ You go to church and tithe, I really ain’t religious/ You’re on P’s and Q’s, I sip that Jesus juice.” Then the LMFAO guys burst into the chorus together, “Everybody wants to feel good, from up in Capitol Hill to the ‘hood.” The song doesn’t feature Romney by name, Redfoo explained, but the song title teases at Romney for sure. Sky Blu, who got into the skirmish with the GOP figure, said Romney grabbed him by the shoulder after repeatedly requesting for the musician put his seat up on the still-grounded airplane. Sky Blu refused because of Romney’s tone, and he claimed the former Massachusetts governor then attempted to put a “Vulcan grip” on him. Blu offered that Romney didn’t appear to be rude guy after matters cooled down between them. The guys said they’d like to do shots with the politician, playing off of their Lil Jon-assisted single “Shots.” But Romney, a devout Mormon, doesn’t drink alcohol. So in the interim, LMFAO hope their tune, “We Came to Party (The Vulcan Grip Mix),” will serve as an olive branch. “We’re gonna use this incident to actually bring the world closer together, ” Redfoo said.

A day after famously telling an audience member to get off her cell phone during a concert, Adam Lambert spoke to E! News. The singer didn’t feel like reliving the incident – which has mostly earned him props from those that admire his boldness and hate on cell phone abusers – but he did touch on a number of other topics. To wit: His favorite artists right now : “Ke$ha’s CD is really fantastic for getting ready. Always Goldfrapp. Always, always, always. Mike Snow is a great album to get ready to.” His most-used hair products : “Oh man, I’ve lost count. And I got really overwhelmed, too, because it’s cold and it’s hot and it’s dry. I’m like oh, moisturizer! Oh hairspray! Just hairspray is my friend in general, especially in this weather.” A sexy celebrity : “Anna Kendrick.” For someone that likes men, he sure has good taste in women. The Twilight Saga and Up in the Air star is an absolute cutie. Lambert added that he has no plans to go on tour and hasn’t watched any of American Idol this season yet. That’s too bad because semifinalist Todrick Hall appears to have some of Adam’s unique style in him, as evidenced by his take on “I’m Yours” in Hollywood at least. He still have a VERY long way to go until he’s in Lambert’s league, of course.

Almost 16 years to the day she was attacked by the ex-husband of her main Olympic rival, an even bigger tragedy has befallen Nancy Kerrigan. The 70-year old father of this former figure skater was found dead at his Boston home yesterday – and Kerrigan’s brother was arrested in connection with the incident. As first reported by MyFoxBoston.com, emergency respondents found Daniel Kerrigan unresponsive when they arrived at his residence yesterday.
