Heather Locklear Arrested in Hit-and-Run Incident

Heather Locklear was arrested for hit-and-run Saturday, according to TMZ, following a crash near North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif. Deputies went to look at the area and found a knocked over “no parking” sign and obvious signs that a car that went up the curb, drilling the sign. The police confirmed through investigation that the car in question was Locklear’s black BMW, and the collision was very close to Heather’s home. Officials then went to Locklear’s home, saw damage to the BMW consistent with the collision, and arrested the 48-year-old star for hit and run. That’s worse than the beating she took in the Melrose Place season finale ! Heather Locklear may valet her car permanently if she keeps racking up the traffic offenses, although the actress was merely cited and released for this one. In ’08, Locklear was arrested in Santa Barbara for allegedly driving under the influence of prescription medications. She pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving and was placed on three years probation. This scary mug shot was among the things resulting from that. The latest incident could be a probation violation. Stay tuned.

Groups call for arrest of West Virginia mine CEO

A coalition of NGOs who say they are fighting against the influence of the US Chamber of Commerce has called for the arrest of Don Blankenship, the CEO responsible for the West Virginia mine where 29 workers lost their lives last week. In a press release on Monday, StopTheChamber.com said Blankenship was “as criminally culpable as any mass murderer” for the disaster at the Upper Big Branch mine in Montcoal, West Virginia, because he had systematically worked to avoid safety regulations. “This was not an accident, but rather the result of deliberate and intentional decisions and actions of Don Blankenship, a director of the United States Chamber of Commerce,” said Kevin Zeese, a founder of the liberal-oriented Velvet Revolution, which runs the StopTheChamber.com site. “Blankenship, with the lobbying army of the Chamber to back him up, has thumbed his nose at the Mine Safety and Health Administration, ignoring or appealing every violation, including the scores that resulted in coal mine evacuations and the hundreds of other serious violations,” Zeese said in a statement. Zeese added, “As the Washington Post pointed out in a Saturday editorial, these 29 deaths would not have occurred absent this intentional conduct of Blankenship. Jason Wahler Charged with DUI For 739th Time

Jason Wahler may not be a hard ass convict, but The Hills party boy is still making a run at DMX’s arrest record. The meathead was just charged with two counts of DUI after his second alcohol-related arrest in less than a month. According to the Orange County District Attorney, Jason Wahler, whose blood alcohol level was allegedly .15 percent, or nearly double the legal limit when he was busted on March 19 – faces six months behind bars if convicted. A week earlier, Wahler was arrested after a bar fight in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, only to be mysteriously bailed out and travel back across the border. He then got arrested in a country where bribes don’t work as easily. Jason Wahler and his circa 1995 frosted hair are seen in many mug shots. Here, he looks surprisingly coherent. Must have caught him on a rare sober night. In a statement, the ex-boyfriend of Lauren Conrad says he feels extremely ” ashamed ” after he was arrested again for driving under the influence. These are not the first such incidents for Wahler, who has been in rehab, and was arrested a staggering four times in as many states in one year. Wahler is disappointed by his own bad behavior and has apologized to fans of the MTV series, which is going off the air after its sixth season run.

Jason Wahler Sprung From Mexican Jail Cell, Then Arrested Again For DUI Back in the U.S.

DMX had better watch his back. Former Laguna Beach and Hills star Jason Wahler was arrested last week for allegedly driving under the influence, having just been sprung from jail in Mexico! Newport Beach, Calif., police say Wahler was nabbed for driving a 2008 Chevy Tahoe while intoxicated. Hilariously, he described himself to police as “an actor.” He was released under his own recognizance. You may recall Wahler was arrested in Cabo San Lucas , Mexico and held there earlier this month after a bar fight. As for how he got back to the U.S., that remains shrouded in mystery. The U.S. Consulate is, for whatever reason, kept the reason for his release on the DL. Until he gets arrested, we always forget about him too . Jason Wahler was cuffed a week ago Thursday and thrown in the slammer after getting in a fight, yet no record of Jason was found during calls to various jails. The Consulate says he was released seven hours after being locked up after the ex of Lauren Conrad signed a document keeping the terms of his release secret. Who knew you could even do that, it’s news to us, and You have to wonder what he did to secure his release. You gotta love Mexico. According to Wahler’s father, no charges were filed against his son in Mexico. As for the Newport Beach DUI, he’s not likely to be let off with any secret bribe.

Tiger Woods: In Rehab For Drugs, Not Sex?

Tiger Woods is hiding the real reason he returned to rehab, according to the National Enquirer , which alleges he’s in treatment for drugs, not sex addiction. THG NOTE: As ridiculous as this sounds, one most remember that: The Enquirer outed Tiger and Rachel Uchitel . That was true. The Enquirer is being considered for a Pulitzer Prize (no, really, they are) for coverage of the John Edwards- Rielle Hunter sex and love child scandal. According to the venerable celebrity news publication, Tiger has checked into The Meadows treatment center in Wickenburg, Ariz., to battle his addictions. To prescription medications. Woods made no mention of his drug habit in his 13-minute apology speech , and insiders say wife Elin refused to participate in his sex addiction therapy. We’ll see about that, but “In therapy, Tiger blamed a lot of his behavior on his drug addiction , saying drugs were responsible for impairing his judgment.” The golfer entered The Meadows after therapists who treated him for sex addiction at the Gentle Path program in Hattiesburg, Miss., recommended him. “After Gentle Path, Tiger flew to Arizona for hi interview at The Meadows, which is better equipped to handle rehab for drug addiction and depression.” While calling Tiger a drug addict may be sensationalistic, he was allegedly under the influence of medication when he crashed his car Thanksgiving night. He also liked to rail Rachel Uchitel on Ambien. Just saying.

Sandra Bullock Refuses To Believe She Will Win An Oscar

Sandra Bullock has already jinxed herself for the Oscars. “I’m so not winning an Oscar,” said Bullock, whose work is finally receiving acclaim. Her star turn in The Blind Side has earned her an Academy Award nomination for this year’s awards ceremony, to be held in the heart of Hollywood at the Kodak Theater on March 7. But the star of such light weight rom-coms as The Proposal told reporters at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival “Nine times out of 10 I always pick who’s going to win. And I already know who’s going to win. I’m not going to say, but nine times out of 10 I’m right.” Bullock, 45, was picking up the American Riviera Award for the influence she has shown in film. Before that she won best actress in a drama at the at Golden Globes and a Screen Actors Guild award. What do you think, can she win?
