Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange hospitalized

A publicist for Artie Lange says the comedian and radio personality has been hospitalized. In an e-mail sent Monday to The Associated Press, publicist Hilary Hansen declined to elaborate, saying, “Artie has chosen to keep all information on this matter between him and his doctor.” The 42-year-old Lange, best known as Howard Stern’s radio sidekick, has been absent from Stern’s Sirius radio show for a month. On Monday’s show, Stern said Lange isn’t leaving the program and called him “a tremendous contributor.” Lange, who lives in Hoboken, N.J., has battled drug addiction. In September, a New Jersey judge revoked his driving privileges for seven months after he admitted he was under the influence of prescribed sleeping pills in a minor traffic accident.

Police: Stern sidekick Artie Lange stabbed self

Police say self-inflicted stab wounds put Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange (LAYNG’) in a New Jersey hospital. Hoboken Police Detective Mark Competello says Lange’s mother found him on the floor of his waterfront home on Saturday. Competello says the 42-year-old comedian was unconscious but breathing after stabbing himself with a 13-inch Wolfgang Puck kitchen knife. Lange was taken to Jersey City Medical Center. Competello says doctors cleaned nine abdominal knife wounds and operated. He says Lange has been released. A message was left for Lange’s publicist. Stern has spoken of the suicide attempt and said his thoughts are with Lange’s mother and sister. Li-lo A No Show?

Is Lindsay Lohan risking a jail time? It looks like Li-lo won’t be in court for a Thursday morning showdown with an LA judge who’s already warned that if she’s a no-show, she’ll risk going to the po-po. Her excuse? She’s stuck in Cannes. Apparently someone stole the Mean Girls passport during her trip there for the annual film festival and now she will most likely not be making it back to LA in time for her mandatory court hearing. According to reports Judge Marsha Revel has said that she will issue a warrant for Lindsay’s arrest if the actress doesn’t show up at 8:30am on Thursday and since Linds will be meeting with the US Embassy in France at around that same time…it’s not looking good. Lindsay claims she actually went to the airport Tuesday and tried boarding a plane back to LA without a passport but was denied.

Are Rick Ross And Nicki Minaj The New Biggie And Kim? Lil’ Cease Weighs In

‘Big paved the way for Ross, and Kim paved the way for females that’s hot now,’ he tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid Lil Cease Photo: Harbody Celebrity Favorites: Lil’ Cease Rick Ross with the fur coat and shades. Nicki Minaj with the green hair and other colorful wigs. While Ross and Minaj have carved out niches with their own distinctive styles, they still hark back to golden memories of the Notorious B.I.G. and Lil’ Kim. Diddy is working with both artists, and now Lil’ Cease, another person who has been a part of Biggie and Kim’s inner circle, said he loves what the Bawse and Barbie are doing. “It’s a good thing to me,” Cease said of the comparisons to his childhood friends. “If people are taking steps into people’s styles like that, that’s paying homage. I definitely looked at Nicki and was like, ‘That’s that Kim remedy.’ I think Ross is nice. To see him be co-signed by Diddy, it gives you that feel. I like it. It’s just showing the influence we had on people. It shows the influence Kim had on females. It shows the influence Big had. I don’t look at it like they’re trying to take [Big and Kim’s] spot or trying to be them. Big paved the way for Ross, and Kim paved the way for females that’s hot now.” Cease said he loves Ricky Ros

Obama Drug Policy calls for drugged driving charges for unimpaired marijuana users

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/russ-belville/obama-drug-policy-calls-f_b_574483.h… Encourage States To Adopt Per Se Drug Impairment Laws [ONDCP] State laws regarding impaired driving are varied, but most State codes do not contain a separate offense for driving under the influence of drugs (DUID). Therefore, few drivers are identified, prosecuted, or convicted for DUID. Law enforcement personnel usually cite individuals with the easier to prove driving while intoxicated (DWI) alcohol charges. Unclear laws provide vague signals both to drivers and to law enforcement, thereby minimizing the possible preventive benefit of DUID statutes. Fifteen states have passed laws clarifying that the presence of any illegal drug in a driver's body is per se evidence of impaired driving. ONDCP will work to expand the use of this standard to other states and explore other ways to increase the enforcement of existing DUID laws. Here are the states President Obama would like the others to emulate: 1. Arizona: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, mandatory 24 hours jail, up to 6 months upon conviction. 2. Delaware: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites. 3. Georgia: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, mandatory 24 hours jail, up to 12 months upon conviction. 4. Illinois: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, up to 12 months upon conviction. 5. Indiana: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, up to 60 days upon conviction. 6. Michigan: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, up to 93 days upon conviction, vehicle immobilization for up to 180 days. 7. Nevada: 15 ng/ml for cannabis metabolites. 8. Ohio: 15 ng/ml for cannabis metabolites, mandatory 72 hours in jail, up to 6 months upon conviction, 6 month to 3 year license suspension. 9. Pennsylvania: DUID for cannabis metabolites, amount unclear. 10. South Dakota: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites for persons under the age of 21. 11. Utah: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, mandatory 48 hours jail, up to 6 months upon conviction. added by: Conniepae
