Judges Love Sosa: Chief Keef Avoids Jail Time For His DUI Arrest

Photo by Tim Mosenfelder/Getty Images Chief Keef Is Catching A Huge Break After Felony DUI Charge Chief Keef  is a lucky man, and he’s proving exactly that by dodging another jail bid. On Tuesday, TMZ reported that the Chicago rapper caught a serious break after his felony DUI charge, which he got when police pulled him over in his green Lamborghini driving through Miami. The DUI charge has been knocked down to a reckless driving charge after Keef pleaded no contest in the year-long legal battle. Keef has now been sentenced to six months of probation, and he’s also been ordered to submit at least 50 hours of community service–which is obviously a huge improvement from being behind bars. Even though Sosa got lucky in the case of avoiding a DUI charge, his legal trouble doesn’t quite stop there. Just last month, a Second Circuit Court judge in South Dakota denied a motion to dismiss a drug charge the rapper is still facing after his June 2017 arrest. In that particular instance, Keef was charged with marijuana possession of between two ounces and a half-pound along with possession of drug paraphernalia after  Sioux Falls security reportedly found drugs in his carry-on bag. For his Sioux Falls case, Chief Keef’s legal team argued that the THC-infused edibles he was carrying are not considered marijuana under South Dakota law, because they contained no plant material. Unfortunately for Keef, though, the judge didn’t quite buy the excuse. Keef is absolutely no stranger to legal troubles, and the latest chapter of his never-ending legal saga comes just a couple of weeks after the release of the rapper’s  Back From The Dead 3  mixtape. Hopefully for his fans, Keef will be able to stay clear of any trouble while touring and performing all of his new music around the world.

Bachelor in Paradise Recap: A STUNNING Breakup!

Chris Harrison may have actually hit the nail on the head by promising us the most dramatic Bachelor in Paradise episode EVER last night. He says that just about every week, but Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 Episode 11 lived up to its billing with drama on all romantic fronts. You’ll have to watch Bachelor in Paradise online to fully appreciate all that went down on ABC, but here’s a brief relationship rundown … Despite lots of promos hinting that “Kardashley” was no longer a virgin – or that Jared got Ashley Iaconetti pregnant – neither occurred. He did not deflower her, but Jared did dump Ashley, again , and she wept, again, pushing the limits of how embarrassing she can get. Before the rose ceremony, Ashley opted to save herself more humiliation by … exiting the show of her own volition (in tears, obviously). Unlucky in move Juelia got dumped by Mikey , who told her he had been forcing it; Juelia packed her bags and peaced out in tears. On a positive note, Justin hit it off with Cassandra , which was refreshingly boring as they hit it off without any fights, tears or drama. After begging and groveling his way to a date card via Jaclyn, Nick asked out Samantha , who he is just so taken with. Just smitten. “Why did you want to pursue me so much?” Sam asks. “You are absolutely the most gorgeous girl I’ve ever seen in my life,” Nick replies. Tight. At the rose ceremony, Dan bowed out of the show after thanking Ashley S. and Amber for their time, even if it didn’t work out. The roses given out: Kirk to Carly , Tanner to Jade , Nick to Samantha , Joshua to Tenley and Justin to Cassandra . That left Mikey. He tried to offer a rose to Mackenzie, but was rejected. As such, Mikey, Chelsie, Jaclyn, Ashley S. and Amber are out of Paradise . View Slideshow: Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 Cast Photos Then for what surprisingly became the main event of the night as Chris Harrison said it was make or break time for the five couples. No more games or roses. The final week was just for love, so that they could figure out if theirs would sustain outside of the show. With that came another Fantasy Suite date, which Carly was legitimately giddy about, an excitement level Kirk did not seem to share. That’s when the show’s “married couple” began to unravel, though it was one-sided as Kirk revealed he was gonna dump Carly hard. “Kirk owed Carly more than this,” said Tanner of his co-star. “To wait until the 11th hour to break her heart is kind of an a–hole move.” Jade Roper added some similar thoughts: “He could have stopped it. He could have slowed it down. Instead, he just let her free fall.” As he pulled her aside, she genuinely had no idea even as Kirk rambled forever before he finally got to the point he was trying to make. Saying he was “a lot behind” in terms of their relationship, Kirk broke her heart as the cameras rolled, and she ran away from him crying. As Carly began to pack her bags for the airport, Kirk found her and tried to continue their talk, but was shot down in pretty epic fashion. “You broke my heart,” she told her now-ex-boyfriend. “I don’t want to talk to you ever again. I want nothing to do with you, ever again.” Damn. That was some cold s–t right there, Kirk. Remind us never to go steady with you on a reality show if we can avoid it. University Apologizes for Penis-Shaped Halftime Show

Kansas State University makes no apologies for its 34-0 victory over South Dakota to open the 2015 football season. But Kansas State University is very sorry for what took place during halftime of that dominating win. The school's band attempted to combine scenes from Star Trek and Star Wars for its performance on Saturday, with the members forming rival University of Kansas' mascot (a Jayhawk) and what was meant to be the starship Starship Enterprise crashing into it.  Except… well… watch this video. That Enterprise totally resembles a penis, something pretty much everyone on Twitter pointed out. The Marching Band Director took to Facebook in order to illustrate the band's intention and wrote along with a blueprint of the routine: “The chart below represents the drill from tonight’s show. There was absolutely no intent to display anything other than the Enterprise and the Jayhawk in battle. If I am guilty of anything it would be the inability to teach the drill in a manner that these young people could have succeeded.” “I do apologize for the misinterpretation and I assure you that I meant absolutely no disrespect or malice toward the University of Kansas.”

Alexis Rupp Is A Hottie To Keep An Eye On

She may not have won Miss Teen USA this year, but I’m still predicting big things for Miss South Dakota Alexis Rupp here. Because not only does she happen to have a killer bikini body, she’s also clearly mastered one of the keys to becoming a regular fixture on this site as a no-name hottie: the ability to do beach “photoshoots” in full view of the paparazzi. Like I said, this girl’s a pro. It takes most hot nobodies years to perfect this trick. » view all 11 photos Photos: Fameflynet

Uranium Mining in The Black Hills – A path of destruction from which there is no return

“Uranium Mining in the Black Hills” Director / Editor, Christopher Crosby Producers, Karla LaRive, Susan Watt and the Institute of Range and American Mustang Interviews by Dayton O. Hyde, Susan Watt, Michael Bucher, Barbara Peltier & Tom Ballanco Original Music by Windwalker, Michael Bucher Governments and the uranium industry say the mining and milling of uranium provides high-paying and much-needed jobs in some of the most remote areas of the country, with manageable environmental risks. But it's an industry that has long attracted its share of controversy. This is a major concern for the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in western South Dakota, and other residents including environmental and conservation groups. The Sierra Club of South Dakota warns that water pollution will be a major concern if the mining company Powertech is given a permit to mine for uranium. Shirley Frederick, with the Sierra Club’s Black Hills Group, says there’s a high likelihood that aquifers will become polluted if an injection-well recovery system is used to mine the ore. “It’s a huge potential for contamination of groundwater.” Powertech Inc USA has submitted its uranium mining application to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and it can be viewed at the NRC website. The NRC has announced a time period for interested individuals to voice their concerns regarding the uranium mine’s impacts to the environment. This proposed uranium mine will be the first time folks can be heard under the new GEIS. The Institute of Range and American Mustang (IRAM) founded by Dayton O. Hyde in 1988 is a 501

What changes could break the cycle of violence on Native American reservations portrayed in last night’s Vanguard’s “Rape on the Reservation"?

In many of the over 300 Native American reservations in the US there exists a silent culture of violence. Obama Drug Policy calls for drugged driving charges for unimpaired marijuana users

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/russ-belville/obama-drug-policy-calls-f_b_574483.h… Encourage States To Adopt Per Se Drug Impairment Laws [ONDCP] State laws regarding impaired driving are varied, but most State codes do not contain a separate offense for driving under the influence of drugs (DUID). Therefore, few drivers are identified, prosecuted, or convicted for DUID. Law enforcement personnel usually cite individuals with the easier to prove driving while intoxicated (DWI) alcohol charges. Unclear laws provide vague signals both to drivers and to law enforcement, thereby minimizing the possible preventive benefit of DUID statutes. Fifteen states have passed laws clarifying that the presence of any illegal drug in a driver's body is per se evidence of impaired driving. ONDCP will work to expand the use of this standard to other states and explore other ways to increase the enforcement of existing DUID laws. Here are the states President Obama would like the others to emulate: 1. Arizona: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, mandatory 24 hours jail, up to 6 months upon conviction. 2. Delaware: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites. 3. Georgia: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, mandatory 24 hours jail, up to 12 months upon conviction. 4. Illinois: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, up to 12 months upon conviction. 5. Indiana: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, up to 60 days upon conviction. 6. Michigan: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, up to 93 days upon conviction, vehicle immobilization for up to 180 days. 7. Nevada: 15 ng/ml for cannabis metabolites. 8. Ohio: 15 ng/ml for cannabis metabolites, mandatory 72 hours in jail, up to 6 months upon conviction, 6 month to 3 year license suspension. 9. Pennsylvania: DUID for cannabis metabolites, amount unclear. 10. South Dakota: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites for persons under the age of 21. 11. Utah: Zero tolerance for cannabis metabolites, mandatory 48 hours jail, up to 6 months upon conviction. added by: Conniepae
