Lamar Odom’s DUI case was postponed by two weeks earlier today, as his attorney appeared in court on the athlete’s behalf and requested a continuance. The troubled star was not in the Van Nuys, Calif., courtroom for the scheduled arraignment, and wasn’t required to be. His attorney, Richard Hutton was. The judge granted a new hearing date of October 10. Odom was arrested for DUI August 30 after being pulled over the on California’s 101 freeway for driving too slowly in the early hours of the morning. He refused to take any blood alcohol tests, and lost his license for a year a result. Police believe Odom was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Today marks Odom’s fourth wedding anniversary. He and Khloe Kardashian got married in 2009, and appeared to be very happy until the past few months, when he’s been linked to various mistresses. Odom has also been in the throes of crack addiction, a problem he’s battled in the past, but has escalated with one major crack binge after another. Believe it or not, he’s reportedly planning an anniversary surprise for Khloe today, having withdrawn $100K for unknown reasons in an effort to win her back. It’s unclear if he’s done so or how she’ll react. Khloe, meanwhile, marked the anniversary by taking “Odom” off of her name on Twitter. So there’s that.
