Curse Of The Kardashians: Yeezus’ Popularity Plummeted After He Started Smashing Kimmy Cakes To Smithereens

We actually think his popularity is down because he is an arrogant a–hole. Kanye’s Popularity Decreases Because Of Kim Kardashian Sure, him attacking the paparazzi and saying Kimmy Cakes is more influential than Michelle Obama had nothing to do with it. According to The National Enquirer: KANYE WEST’s popularity on the downslide after getting horizontal with KIM K – industry analysis. In less than two years, the 19-time Grammy-award winner’s likability has nosedived by a whopping 66 percent, according to the influential Q scores, a closely watched measure of recognition and popularity that marketers use to evaluate celebrities’ appeal. Before West began dating the 33-year-old Kardashian star in April 2012, his score was high — a 17 among women aged 18-49.What’s more, the 36-year-old father-of-one was rated even more lofty — a score of 19 — among men 18-34 dating as far back as February 2011. But shockingly, West’s popularity has plummeted to a mere 3 among women 18-49, the latest results from September reveal. He’s hemorrhaged popularity among his core fan base of men too, but not as significantly as women: West’s most recent Q Score among the 18-34 male demographic was a lowly 13. West’s fading stardom in the influential poll — also used by companies and advertisers to help make major endorsement decisions — began several months after his relationship with the E! star went public and has continued amid his clashes with the paparazzi and other celebs, RadarOnline reported. “Kanye has had a significant drop among women,” Henry Schafer, Executive Vice President of the Q Scores Company, said. “It’s surprising.” Not really. Kanye has been a source of derision since he was lambasted by South Park years ago in their classic “Gay Fish” ep but now even his most ardent admirers seem to have had enough of his ties to the Kardashians. Kanye can control Kim, but he can’t control people not giving a fawk about him. WENN

In case you hadn’t noticed, I haven’t done a post on Christina Aguilera in a long time. Mainly because I just don’t find her that hot anymore now. But I guess somebody out there still does, because she was invited to Time Magazine ‘s Gala for the 100 Most Influential People in the World. I’m not really sure what Christina was doing on the list, but I figure it’s got to be for that cleavage of hers. I know it certainly used to inspire me. » view all 13 photos Related Articles: Christina Aguilera Flashes Ellen The Goods Christina Aguilera’s Greatest Tits, I Mean Hits Promo Pics Christina Aguilera Breasts Can’t Save That Old Lady Outfit Christina Aguilera Ruins A See Through Moment Photos: WENN.com

‘RapFix Live’ To Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of ‘Juice’

Naughty by Nature and Khalil Kain will join Sway to celebrate the influential film. By Rob Markman “Juice” Photo: Paramount When director Ernest Dickerson released “Juice” on January 17, 1992, he effectively changed hip-hop’s relationship with Hollywood. Twenty years later, “RapFix Live” will celebrate the game-changing movie on Wednesday with co-star Khalil Kain and Naughty by Nature, the hip-hop trio who contributed to the soundtrack. Starring Kain, Omar Epps, Samuel L. Jackson and Tupac Shakur in his first starring role, “Juice” told the story of four Harlem youths who try desperately to overcome the treacherous pull of the streets. Though Tupac had a cameo in 1991’s “Nothing But Trouble,” his true acting debut came when he first put his acting chops on display playing the maniacal Bishop. Co-star Kain played the more level-headed Raheem Porter. Before “Juice,” there weren’t many movies that effectively captured the harsh realities of the inner-city ghettos. With the exception of 1991’s “Boyz N the Hood,” these street tales were often left untold. The movie’s soundtrack was also groundbreaking, featuring classic hip-hop cuts like Eric B. & Rakim’s “Juice (Know the Ledge),” Too $hort’s “So You Want to Be a Gangster” and Naughty by Nature’s “Uptown Anthem.” During their appearance on “RapFix Live,” Naughty by Nature will talk about the lasting influence of the film, the soundtrack and working with Shakur. That’s not all. “X Factor” rapper Astro will also join Sway on the “RapFix Live” couch and reveal which label he will sign his first record deal with. Catch Naughty by Nature, Khalil Kain and Astro on “RapFix Live” Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com, and be sure to join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive. Las Vegas Set To Launch EDM Into High Gear In 2012

Marquee Nightclub’s one-year anniversary rings in new year with performances by Avicii, Kaskade. By Sam Hendrick Kaskade celebrates New Year’s Eve at Marquee Nightclub in Las Vegas Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images Two years ago, we probably wouldn’t be writing this story. In fact, nobody would be. But dance music has taken Sin City by storm so rapidly that it’s simply impossible to ignore. Last year drew America’s largest EDM festival to Las Vegas. And with it came a core of A-list international acts passing through town and calling many of the city’s hottest venues home, turning America’s Playground into what some called America’s Ibiza . As the American palate skews ever toward dance, Las Vegas club life is healthier than ever. MTV News ventured back to the desert to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Marquee Nightclub and further prove that this EDM mecca is not only thriving but poised to smash 2012. “I think it’s only fitting that we ended the year with two amazing artists [Kaskade and Avicii],” said Jason Strauss, owner and co-founder of Strategic Group, the entity behind Marquee, Tao and LAVO. “To have an explosive partner artist like Tim [Avicii] to be with us is going to be historic for us and really tie in this whole year the way it should be”. Marquee certainly has reason to celebrate. In just one year, it’s been able to obtain a power lineup of residencies from the likes of Above & Beyond, ATB, Benny Benassi, Chuckie, Dirty South, Erick Morillo, Kaskade, Markus Schulz and Redfoo. Add Hardwell and a half dozen new DJs to the 2012 lineup, along with cutting-edge sight and sound, and it’s clear that Marquee has planted a flag in the upper echelon of the Vegas EDM scene. “I really like the club feeling of Marquee,” Avicii (born Tim Bergling) said prior to his set. “The production is amazing and that kind of creates a really unique vibe from the DJ perspective.” This past weekend, the mega venue started off in high gear with a staggering 12-hour set from Kaskade , followed by an anniversary show from Avicii, who just a couple of years ago, couldn’t even buy a lady a drink. “I had my first gig at Wet Republic about two years ago and they wouldn’t even let me into the club,” he recalled. “They had two guards escort me to the DJ booth and then straight off because of alcohol and everything.” Avicii and a slew of other influential players have partnered with some of the world’s premier venues to bring EDM into the heart of American cool culture. “It’s been big all throughout America, but I think this is where you can really see it because you get the biggest DJs in the world playing here every week,” Avicii said. “I don’t know any other place that has the same lineups that Vegas does.” “Everyone goes there. People from all kinds, all sorts, they like all kinds of music,” Fedde le Grand recently told MTV News. “It’s very important that dance music is in Vegas because people from all around come. Especially with dance music, you have to experience it to really get it.” EDM’s influence in Vegas has become so prominent that the city has declared an official holiday honoring one of the genre’s biggest names. Mayor Carolyn Goodman has issued a proclamation officially declaring January 2, 2012, “deadmau5 Day” in the City of Las Vegas, marking the date deadmau5 launched his exclusive partnership with Wynn Las Vegas. Do you plan to be in Vegas in 2012? Tell us which EDM artist you’d like to see while in Sin City in the comments below!
