Cardi B Hoping To Release Second Studio Album This Spring

Source: Gladys Vega/Getty In April of 2018, Cardi B released her debut studio album Invasion Of Privacy to rave reviews. With hits like “Drip” feat. Migos, “I Like It” feat. J Balvin and Bad Bunny, and the anthem that caught everyone’s attention, “Bodak Yellow,” we must admit her first project slapped. Fortunately for fans, Cardi’s got another one coming this year. After an inquisitive fan asked if she’d release a new album in 2019, Kulture Kiari’s mama revealed she would. “Of course there’s gonna be an album in 2019,” she said in this Instagram Live clip . While she’s not sure it’s actually doable, she also said she hopes to release her second studio album “around the same time” that Invasion Of Privacy came out. Stay tuned. Photo: Getty

Kylie Jenner Consumes Just 500 Calories a Day, Source Claims

Just weeks after she welcomed daughter Stormi Webster into the world, Kylie Jenner was back on Instagram, wowing her fans with her post-pregnancy physique. Kylie was widely applauded for her fitness and nutrition efforts, but some fans expressed concerns that the 20-year-old cosmetics mogul was shedding the pounds too quickly. But despite the apparent ease with which she slimmed down after giving birth, it seems Kylie’s weight loss journey has not yet come to an end. A source close to the Kardashian-Jenner clan tells Heat magazine that Kylie is adhering to an extremely strict dietary regimen — one that has her loved ones deeply concerned. The insider claims that Kylie has been limiting herself to just 500 calories per day. “Kylie has been pretty much starving herself through the holiday season,” one insider tells the magazine. “She’s obsessed with having the best figure by the time the family go on their next holiday vacation.” Yes, it seems Kylie is motivated to lose even more weight due to her sense of competition with her sisters. The source says she borrowed the 500 calorie strategy from Kim, who used a similar method to trim down after both of her pregnancies. In keeping with current diet trends, sources say Kylie is also limiting herself to virtually no carbs. “She’s already got a body most women would kill for, but Kylie seems to be taking things to ridiculous extremes,” the insider continues. “She’s living off one smoothie and a handful of nuts and hot lemon water, and not much else.” Making matters worse is the fact that Kylie’s work schedule allows little time for rest. In addition to her work with her near-billion dollar cosmetics brand, Kylie continues to shoot new episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, anll the while curating social media pages with audiences of over 100 million each. On top of all that, Kylie follows her rapper husband Travis Scott on his current Astroworld tour whenever possible. It would be lot for any new mother to take on, and it’s not hard to see why Kylie’s family is concerned that she’s doing it all fewer calories than most Americans consume in a single meal. Here’s hoping Kylie is able to find some time to herself soon. Burnout is an awful thing for anyone, but it’s particularly catastrophic when one has that much to lose. Paola Mayfield and Russ Mayfield Welcome First Child!

In July, 90 Day Fiance stars Paola Mayfield and Russ Mayfield shared that they were expecting their first child . This was a big deal for the couple, in part because Pao had already suffered a miscarriage. They’re sharing their rainbow baby’s name, very special time of birth, and even a photo . The baby is here! “What an amazing way to start the new year,” Paola Mayfield announced in the caption beside this photo. “While I was hearing the fireworks and people telling me ‘happy new year,'” Pao writes. “I was just focused on meeting my baby boy.” “Our little miracle is so beautiful and calm,” she gushes. “I feel so blessed,” Paola raves. “And I can’t believe I am a mom now!” “I’m ready to start this new adventure,” Paola’s post continues. “And to be the best mom for baby Axel.” What a fun name for this precious baby! “I’m so proud of my husband,” she continues. “He was there for me the entire time.” “I couldn’t have done it without you @russ_mayfield,” Pao says sweetly. This couple has had their ups and downs, but they are solidly together and supportive of each other these days. “The joy I feel is indescribable,” Paola raves. That is no surprise, and we’re not just talking about the oxytocin and endorphins. She’s delighted to be a mom. “I’ve never felt so happy in my life,” she announces. “Axel has become my whole world,” she shares. “And I’m so in love with him.” That is so sweet! “Thank you all for supporting us,” Paola writes to fans and followers. She continues: “and ‘patiently’ waiting to finally meet him!” Some fans were patient — some were not. That’s just how things are. “We are so blessed!” she concludes. She then reveals his time of birth: “Baby Axel was born January 1, 2019 at 12:22 AM.” He really is a New Year’s baby! Paola was not the only one who took to Instagram on Thursday to gush about Axel. “What an amazing feeling to be overwhelmed with joy,” Russ writes. “We would like to introduce you to Axel Mayfield,” he says. “He is already taking after his father and is such a cute, sweet, and calm little boy,” Russ announces. Russ then drops some stats, sharing that Axel was born “measuring 22 inches in length, and weighing in at 7 lbs and 5 oz.” “This has been the HAPPIEST NEW YEAR we have ever experienced,” Russ proclaims. “Momma and baby are doing so well!” Russ shares. “I cannot express enough how proud I am of Pao,” “She was such trooper bringing him into the world,” he gushes. “Pao’s bouncing back stronger than ever,” he reveals. “And Axel is rocking his eat, sleep, poop, repeat like a champ.” That’s what babies do. “Thank you everyone for all your love, support, prayers, good vibes, and all the encouraging messages,” Russ tells his fans and followers. “It brings us so much joy,” Russ concludes. “Knowing how much our baby boy is already adored.” Congratulations to Paola and Russ! Axel is a great name (yes, it’s unusual, but it’s easy and intuitive to spell and that matters a lot more than popularity). We are so glad to hear that both mother and baby are recovering so well. May we all have a 2019 as blessed as theirs! View Slideshow: Paola Mayfield: 90 Day Fiance Star’s Hottest Photos That Russ Doesn’t Want You to See!

Bird Box Challenge: Netflix Begs Fans to STOP Dangerous Meme

Netflix’s hit film Bird Box took viewers and Twitter by storm and spawned hilarious memes . Unfortunately, it also inspired the Bird Box Challenge, in which people film themselves blindfolded. This is so dangerous that Netflix has put out a PSA begging people to not deliberately blind themselves. Bird Box was a hit on Netflix during this holiday season. It was thrilling and compelling and Sandra Bullock is, as always, an inspired casting choice. Unfortunately, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing, as evidenced by people participating in the “Bird Box Challenge.” In the film, the characters must wear blindfolds most of the time in order to avoid being driven to kill themselves by violent apparitions. Some Netflix viewers with too much time on their hands decided to “challenge” themselves to navigate while  blindfolded. Whether it’s in their homes or outdoors, the results tend to be either boring, messy, or dangerous. Putting on a blindfold does not magically transform you into the titular character of Daredevil . In fact, outside of the bedroom, it usually just leads to injuries. This is so bad that Netflix themselves have stepped in on social media. In a tweet on Wednesday, Netflix implored their followers to let this trend die as quickly as it sprang into being. “Can’t believe I have to say this,” the tweet begins. “But: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE.” “We don’t know how this started,” Netflix says. “And we appreciate the love,” “But Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019,” the tweet reads. Netflix concludes: “and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.” That’s a pretty good wish. Unlike actual memes, which involve photos and videos and are usually harmless, challenge culture can be dangerous. Popular on video-sharing sites and especially on YouTube, people vie for social media clout by emulating others. The pressure to make your video not only watchable but sensational — in the hopes of going viral — can be dangerous. Participants — especially teens, but also grown-ass adults — can and do endanger themselves in their desperate effort for clicks. Viral fame can transform someone’s life, so they’re willing to risk it all. But you know what else can change your life? A life-altering injury . It’s right there in the name. This of course brings to mind a challenge that was passed around in January of 2018. Harmless memes shared on social media about forbidden snacks — household items that people had resisted eating as children — spawned a challenge. The Tide Pod Challenge was mostly an inflated joke, as people would edit videos to make it appear that they ate laundry detergent. There were people who, perhaps not realizing that the videos were edited, were not in on the joke. A few people tried to earn social media clout by actually putting tide pods into their mouths. Though only a handful of people genuinely participated, we would remind members of the TGH Nation: please do not ingest bleach. Just as you would not ingest dish soap in the hopes of racking up YouTube views, please do not participate in the Bird Box challenge. We don’t know how many people are actually doing it and how many are filming themselves acting out rehearsed blunders. Regardless, actually depriving yourself of eyesight for fun is just a recipe for disaster. Head injuries are no joke. And quite frankly, neither is a stubbed toe. If you are lucky enough to have eyesight, use it to navigate your world safely. Not everyone is so lucky. View Slideshow: Bird Box Memes Hilariously Take Over Twitter

Scott Disick: Slammed By Fans For "Racist" Photo of Daughter

If you had told us that at some point in 2019, there would be controversy involving a photo of Scott Disick and a very young female , our response would have been something along the lines of “no doi!” But we woudn’t have guessed the female would be his daughter, and we certainly never would have predicted the scandal would be racial in nature: On Thursday morning, Scott posted the above photo of himself and his daughter Penelope at what appears to be an Asian-style restaurant. As you can see, Penelope looks to be pulling on her eyelids in such a way as to mock facial features that are often associated with Asian people. Not surprisingly, the backlash from fans was swift and harsh. “I’m Asian and that was racist,” commented one angry follower .  “She must have seen someone do it to think it’s okay,” wrote another. “Teach her not to do the Chinese eye thing at a sushi restaurant. Don’t teach her to be a racist. Cause that’s what’s gonna happen,” a third pointed out. A surprising number of commenters were quick to come to Scott’s defense: “She is a little f**king girl making a goofy face in a picture with her dad,” wrote one such fan. “What race of people even have eyes like that???? Seriously get a life, it’s a child who wouldn’t even know what racism is,” commented another. “She is a child. She doesn’t know better and she is lifting her eyes. Not stretching Opens a New Window.  them sideways,” remarked a third. Now, kids do dumb sh-t all the time. In fact, one could argue that childhood is simply a succession of increasingly less dumb sh-t, which leads to adulthood, a time in which you endeavor to do less dumb sh-t, because now there’s an increased that it will cost you money. Racism is something far too nefarious and harmful to fall under the relatively innocuous heading of “dumb sh-t,” but when the perpetrator is 6 years old, the problem is almost certainly that they’re being ignorant in the classical sense, and now willfully malicious. The question is, why — instead of correcting his daughter on why that’s not the sort of gesture she should be making under any circumstances but particularly in public — did Scott instead choose to post this image for his 21 million Instagram followers. And why does he have yet to take it down or offer an apology? Scott’s daughter engaged in some very foolish behavior here, it’s true. But it’s Scott who really failed by both failing to take advantage of a teachable moment, and by putting this deeply problematic image out there for all the world to see. The commenter who said Penelope has no idea what racism is is probably correct. It’s up to the adults in her life to teach her. View Slideshow: Scott Disick: Banging ALL of the Kardashians?!

Today On Twitter: Some Of Thurday’s Funniest Tweets To Get You Through The Rest Of The Week

View post:

Source: Jenae Spriensma / Getty Sometimes we just need a little mid-week motivation…even on Thursday. I mean, it’s MUCH harder to make it through the work week on like 2:30pm on a Thursday than any other day. There’s really nothing that makes the clock tick slower than knowing it’s almost Friday but not quite–and sometimes a good laugh is all we need to make the minutes pass a little more quickly. If you frequent Twitter as much as everyone else on the Internet, you’re no stranger to how up and down the experience can be. Sometimes you log on and end up scrolling for (let’s be honest here) the better part of 3 hours because EVERYTHING. IS FUNNY. But other times, we aren’t so lucky. Other times–the times when you actually NEED some entertainment–when you’re bored out of your mind, waiting for the train or trying to find something to look at on your lunch break, there’s absolutely nothing that catches your interest. But look no more, because we’ve compiled the most entertaining tweets on your timeline from today and included them here so you can get that laugh you need to make it through the rest of Thursday and hopefully Friday, too. Let’s face it, there’s nothing that makes the time pass more easily than a good laugh, and hopefully, you’ll get a couple with these next few tweets….. Twitter Has Pettiest Reactions When This Afrobeat Star Complains About His Coachella Billing

See the article here:

Source: Gallo Images / Getty You’d think after Coachella announced their line-up , people would get excited for the festival and that would be the end of it. However, folks are putting their zoom-in feature to good use with criticism of the festival’s fine print.   First, there was a whole Gucci Mane fiasco where instead of printing “Gucci Mane” as a performer, Coachella billed him as “Gucci Gang.” However, Coachella came through with the quick save and later changed their artist site to show Gucci would be performing with Lil Pump and Smokepurpp as the “Gucci Gang.” Nice one Coachella.   But this didn’t stop other people from beefing with the music festival…more specifically a not-so-happy music artist. Nigerian afrobeat star Burna Boy couldn’t help but notice that his name was smaller in the billing than say…the headliners of the show. Peep his name below, three rows down from Ariana Grande. pic.twitter.com/v7RmGri9O0 — Coachella (@coachella) January 3, 2019   Burna Boy was so annoyed with his placement that he made a post about it on Insta-stories. “I am an AFRICAN GIANT and will not be reduced to whatever that tiny writing means,” he said.   Ironically, the afrobeat artist Mr. Eazi, who’s just as big as Burna Boy, also received the same-sized text and complaints from him were nowhere to be found. The Internet was quick to clown Burna Boy over his print outrage. Burna boy trying to find his name on the Coachella set list pic.twitter.com/I9dfG21lsm — Mo (@Sandymonajj) January 3, 2019 Dear Burna Boy, As a spokesperson for Coachella,we have fixed the poster pic.twitter.com/T8UByNNwlu — Bright Uchemadu (@iamswitchme) January 3, 2019 if Burna is this upset over font wait till he gets there and they tell him he's performing at 2pm — Apollonia (@ooe_91) January 3, 2019   Some people pointed out that there was a disconnect between Americans and Africans over music taste. While afrobeat artists are booming in places like Nigeria and Ghana, they have yet to make a large-scale impact on American audiences. “Burna boy. No notable award to his name.. No Billboard appearance. No BET nomination.. Just one breakthrough year and he gets picked for coachella for the first time in his life and this ni**a thinks he’s Drake,” Twitter user @OlaTheOG said. “You want your name in caps like Ariana that has 141m followers on IG.” Burna boy. No notable award to his name.. No Billboard appearance. No BET nomination.. Just one breakthrough year and he gets picked for coachella for the first time in his life and this nigga thinks he's Drake. You want your name in caps like Ariana that has 141m followers on IG — BREZZIDENT (@OlaTheOG) January 3, 2019   Many people followed up on the Ariana Grande comparison, saying Burna Boy hasn’t reached the same pop status as the “Thank U, Next” singer, so his billing font might be a tad smaller. Someone said Burna boy has more fan base than Ariana Grande Please what's the color of this madness — Trouble Maker (G.O) (@ObongRoviel) January 3, 2019   Then, of course, there were people who were just plain petty… Have you greeted Burna Boy this afternoon?? https://t.co/yssKP4y6az — valking♔ (@_valkiing) January 3, 2019 Lmaoooooo somebody went to clean a whole Ariana Grande's name & Put Burna Boy. No Respect pic.twitter.com/swYdbM4YcT — KinG NomSo (@ani_nomso) January 3, 2019   Eventually, Burna Boy responded to the backlash with another Insta-story post , writing: “AFRICAN creatives going Global. Not the soft, Low self esteem Africans with the slave mentality. I will grant an interview soon to make myself understood. Nothing say comes from any place of ‘pride’ or any sense of ‘entitlement,’ it comes from my Vision of the future of AFRICA not just AFRICAN Music.” What do you think? Should Coachella put more respect on Burna’s name or does Burna’s font outrage still go under the petty files? One thing is for certain. People will be expecting a headline-worthy performance from him come April.

¿Eso Es Gracioso? Charmaine Blasts Latina #BlackInkCHI Producer For Letting Lily Call Black Cast Members N-Words

Source: Aaron J. Thornton/Johnny Nunez / Getty Black Ink Chi’s Charmaine Calls Out Kim Osorio For Kee-Kee-ing Over Lily’s Use Of The N-word Black Ink Crew Chicago favorite Charmine is PISSED with show producers because she feels like they’re enabling a “racist” cast member. Previously, Lily — who is of Mexican descent — was called out by upset fans for her excessive use of the word “ni**a.” Folks watching felt uncomfortable after Lily exploded and used the word to demean people from the cast. The majority of the cast members are Black and apparently, they feel uncomfortable around her too. Lily only seems to use the word in a degrading way when she’s fighting or arguing. Welp, an unaired clip of Lily arguing with cast member Jenn has surfaced where she called them all “weak a$$ ni**as”. Under the photo, Kim Osorio — a show producer who is Puerto Rican, Asian and Black — is seen joking with a friend in the comments and Charmaine lost it: “Worried about the wrong things Kim! How about the fact that this girl stays calling us ni**gas n thinks it’s ok because her little Hispanic friends do it too?” In response, Kim snapped back at Charmaine saying that the clip was not from the show, rather from “behind the scenes”, excusing Lily. She then invited Charmaine and the crew to talk to Lily about it on camera, where they could “finally film a conversation for once.” Charmaine didn’t respond. She just tagged VH1 in her own post, asking folks online to help defend the Black cast against Lily’s language, since no producer is in their corner. “My cast has already expressed multiple times our concerns about this. There is strength in numbers so if you agree tag @VH1.” Swipe to see the clip of Lily calling Van’s girlfriend Jenn a ni**a. What do YOU think of all of this?   Continue reading
