He’s taken to social media to blame everyone else for the demise of his marriage, told the world how much he misses her and even recently made a video pleading her to come back and let him spend the holidays with his family. But on Saturday night, he took his public display of nonsense to an entirely new level. During her performance at Los Angeles’ Rolling Loud Festival, the Migos rapper decided to hijack Cardi B during her performance to ask for forgiveness. With a loud and tacky flower arrangement that read “TAKE ME BACK CARDI,” Offset told his wife, “I just want to tell you I’m sorry. You’re my best friend in the world. Whatever I got to do to show I love you, I’ll do.” “I just wanna tell you I’m sorry bruh,” he said. “And furthermore, I love you.” Sigh…who is he calling “bruh”? Thankfully, she let him have it backstage. #Offset offers his apology to #CardiB on stage! Are we here for it? Via: shadylipz/Instagram pic.twitter.com/Qs46Gz4xEE — BET (@BET) December 16, 2018 Wow, Offset really just interrupted Cardi's set to beg her to take him back. This is disgusting and embarrassing. I feel bad for her. pic.twitter.com/ThrVQtnlqU — I Luh God (@aVeryRichBish) December 16, 2018 While there are plenty of folks out there who may find this to be a romantic gesture, I am not here for any of this posturing bafoonery..at all. What Offset did was manipulative, toxic and downright abusive. Cardi B has made it clear that she no longer wants to be with this man, has “fallen out of love” with him and wants to move on with her life. For folks with common sense, this is understandable given that Offset has cheated on her multiple times during the course of their relationship. But Offset isn’t trying to hear that. He refuses to leave her alone and learn from his mistakes. So, he took it upon himself to steal her moment, which was monumental given that Cardi was the first female headliner in Rolling Loud’s 3-year-history. He decided that his needs trumped her feelings, personal space and spotlight. So he came to her job uninvited, ambushing and coercing her in front of thousands of people, thinking she would crumble under the pressure of not wanting to bruise a Black man’s ego in public and essentially take him back. If this isn’t the definition of toxic masculinity, I don’t know what is. Sadly, he didn’t do this all by himself. For the complicit folks at Rolling Loud who knew about this before hand—and even bragged about it on Twitter—and the people close to Cardi who were in on the stunt and didn’t tell her ahead of time, they all need their asses beat too. This did not have to happen in public. Be clear: My critique isn’t about me stanning. I’ve never been a Cardi B fan—I’m still confused at all her Grammy nominations and am often turned off by her online and in-person behavior , especially that NYFW nonsense with Nicki Minaj a few months back. Not to mention, her colorism and past homophobic and transphobic remarks. But what I do appreciate is her come-up story, her resilience and watching her grow as a woman, a rapper and a mother. I want Cardi to be happy, successful and revel in the fact that she knows her worth. But perhaps, that’s the problem. Perhaps that’s why philandering goons like T.I. , The Game , Kirk Frost and 50 Cent continue to berate the 26-year-old for “breaking up her family,” while downplaying the severity that having sex with other women can have on a marriage. Could you imagine if Cardi B would have cheated on Offset? These same “men” would never be fighting this hard for this relationship to work. But I digress. See, folks hate when Black women stick up for themselves, have standards and are empowered in their decisions. In addition, folks routinely shame Black women who refuse to allow their relationships to be solely based on pain, one-sided sacrifice, trauma and infidelity. It literally makes folks’ blood boil to see Black women unbossed, unbothered and happy on their own terms—just ask Ciara . In the end, if Cardi takes Offset back, that’s her own business and I promise not to judge. And while she has asked for folks to not “bash him,” it’s important that we continue to hold this man—and other Black men like him— accountable, an act that too often feels like a rarity instead of the norm. It’s also important that we listen to Black women and remind them that despite what the world may tell them, they are the experts of their own lives and know what’s best for them and their families. Finally, if anything, it’s important for us to use Offset’s behavior as a teachable moment to educate brothas on why this is unacceptable, what healthy relationships and boundaries actually look like, and why Black women are not garbage bags to dump your trashy trifling baggage into. We’re tired of carrying that load, and frankly, we’re entitled to so much better. What a year it’s been for Ryan Edwards, huh? He’s done a whole lot of things — most of them were real, real bad. He’s been arrested twice, once for violating probation by failing a drug test and once for violating probation by driving 35 MPH over the speed limit . He spent a handful of days in jail, and three whole months in rehab ! Another big thing was when Maci Bookout had to get a restraining order against him for her and her family after he threatened to murder her husband . So yeah, bad things, right? Despite all of that, there was one very big, very good moment for Ryan this year. He welcomed a brand new baby boy! Yep, in October, Mackenzie Standifer gave birth to their first child together , a boy they named Jagger Ryan Edwards. Well, she named him that, anyway — he was still in rehab at the time. Besides Jagger, they have Hudson, Mackenzie’s son from her first marriage, and of course there’s Bentley, the son Ryan shares with Maci. What a lovely little family, right? Or at least we imagine they are — Mackenzie refuses to show off her new baby on social media, or on Teen Mom OG. It makes sense, really. After all, Ryan does attract a whole lot of hate, and Mackenzie herself receives even more . They’ve been the big Teen Mom OG villains for a long time now, and though attention is beginning to shift to Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s marriage problems … Well, plenty of fans still have a whole mess of feelings about the Edwards. If Mackenzie had posted pictures of little Jagger, then unfortunately, there’s a decent chance she would have gotten negative comments about him, just because people don’t like his parents. People can be awful like that. She’s said that she’ll “probably never” show him off to the world, and honestly, it’s understandable. But luckily for us, she’s reconsidered things! Yep, today Mackenzie was kind enough to share a Christmas photo of her little family, minus Bentley: And just look at that cute little baby!!! Hudson is adorable too, as always, and Mackenzie looks phenomenal, especially for giving birth just a couple of months ago. As for Ryan, well, remember a few days ago when we heard a report about how he’s been seeming so happy and healthy these days? He certainly looks like it in this photo! His smile looks genuine, and although it looks like he couldn’t manage to spit out his dip for the Christmas card shoot, at least he doesn’t look high here. Hopefully he’s finally come around to raising a baby with Mackenzie and there won’t be any of the “call me when he’s three” talk like there was at the beginning of the pregnancy. Really, we just hope that things are as good as they possibly can be in the Edwards home. And oh, what a Christmas miracle that would be! View Slideshow: Ryan Edwards: Out of Rehab and Loving Life! (According to Mackenzie Standifer)
Offset and Cardi B has turned their break-up into a public spectacle. And it's making both parties look pretty awful. As a quick refresher: Cardi B announced several days ago that her marrage to Offset was over, keeping the reason why vague, but saying that she and the rapper would remain friends. Not long afterward, rumors of Offset cheating on Cardi went viral, with at least one woman owning up to her Offset boning and apologizing for her role in this relationship's demise. Cardi said very little in response, but Offset shared this video, in which he begged for his wife to forgive him: So that brings us to Saturday night. At Los Angeles’ Rolling Loud festival at the Banc of California Stadium, headlines by Cardi herself, an attendee captured a video of Offset crashing Cardi’s set to plead her to reignite their romance. As you can see in the footage featured here… at one point, stagehands rolled out three boxes that spelled out “Take Me Back Cardi” in what appeared to be flowers. From there, Offset appeared, a bouquet of white flowers in hand, to attempt to win Cardi back. Into the microphone, the Migos member proclaimed that “in front of the world, I love you.” How did Cardi response? She appeared to be annoyed; the lights went dim; the stars talked briefly; and then Offset walked off stage. Crazy, right?!? Only if you somehow believe this was somehow not totally planned and staged by both Cardi and Offset. We mean, there's simply no way security allows the rapper to just leap on stage in this manner unless Cardi was very much in on the so-called surprise crashing. After this video went viral, and fans went off on both celebrities, Cardi told them to please take it easy on her estranged husband. “I see a lot of people bashing me because they feel that because I’m defending my baby father, they think that I’m gonna get back together with him,” Cardi, who shares five-month-old daughter Kulture Kiari with Offset, said in one Instagram video, adding: “I’m not saying that I’m gonna get back together with him. I just don’t like that bashing online thing.” She then referenced Pete Davidson's very recent breakdown , writing: “Just earlier, you just saw how Pete Davidson was talking about how he don’t even want to be on this earth because mad people be coming at him every single day. “I wouldn’t want my baby father to have that feeling because of millions of people be bashing him every day. That’s a nasty feeling, and I wouldn’t want that.” Also aware of the backlash, Offset jumped on Twitter on Sunday and wrote: “All of my wrongs have been made public, I figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too. “A n-gga was just trying …..thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh.” We have no idea where this marriage is going, but it's all become pretty ridiculous at this stage. Check out Offset's stage crash here.
A lmost three weeks after winning her controversial runoff election, Mississippi’s GOP Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith had no intention of returning donations to companies that demanded refunds after she created public relations problems for them with her racist campaign. SEE ALSO: How Racism Came To Dominate The Mississippi Senate Runoff Election Hyde-Smith’s campaign made one exception when it returned money to just one donor: Major League Baseball, which is trying to promote racial diversity as fewer Black athletes chose to play baseball, the New York Times reported on Friday. MLB’s contribution represented $5,000 of the more than $50,000 that donors wanted back. Hyde-Smith, who has an affinity for white supremacy, set off a furor with her remark about public hangings in a state that has a long history of lynchings. She was running against Mike Espsy , a former congressman who is African-American. A Federal Election Commission spokeswoman told the newspaper that Hyde-Smith is not required by law to return the contributions. Regulations only require campaign committees to return illegal donations or those that exceed contribution amount limits. Black Republicans in Mississippi rallied behind Cindy Hyde-Smith in her runoff election against Mike Espy despite evidence that she's a racist… #MississippiRunoff #RepresentTheVote pic.twitter.com/8i4CmIHP33 — NewsOne (@newsone) November 28, 2018 Hyde-Smith and Espy were the top vote-getters among several candidates in a special election to replace retiring GOP Sen. Thad Cochran . A runoff was necessary because none of the candidates won more than 50 percent of the votes on Election Day. It appears that Hyde-Smith’s campaign spent all the money over an abundance of fear that she created an opening for Espy to win. Espy was a clear underdog in the runoff election. A survey taken shortly before the election showed that Hyde-Smith had a 10-point lead. However, fearful Republicans scrambled in the days ahead of the runoff election to prevent Hyde-Smith from losing the Senate seat, prompting President Donald Trump to hold rallies in the state with the hope of turning out his base to vote for her. The worry stemmed from an unguarded moment on her campaign trail when Hyde-Smith revealed her racist attitude toward African Americans . At a Nov. 2 campaign stop, she praised a longtime supporter. “If he invited me to a public hanging, I’d be on the front row,” she was caught saying on a video posted to social media. In the following weeks, more revelations about her undying love for the Confederacy surfaced. As the public’s memories of the runoff fade with the passage of time, many of these same companies, which include Walmart and the health insurance giant Aetna, will have to decide whether to support Hyde-Smith’s re-election campaign in 2020. Source: ANGELA WEISS / Getty Pete Davidson Alarms Fans After Posting Concerning Messages To IG Some cryptic messages had fans and celebrities alike worried about SNL ‘s Pete Davidson on Saturday, which he posted before quickly deleting his Instagram page completely. Following Kanye West’s tweetstorm the previous day, where he addressed mental illness and his desire to desire to destigmatize it, Davidson–who is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder–posted a note saying that he doesn’t “want to be on this Earth anymore” before another note praising Kanye for his bravery in speaking out against mental health. In the first, now-deleted note, Pete wrote, “i really don’t wanna be on this earth anymore. i’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all i’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember i told you so.” No matter what we think of celebrities or public figures, Pete Davidson is a human being who deserves to live. The thousands of hurtful comments to him are shameful and inhumane. Please know Pete, that you are loved by millions. Most of all, your family loves you unconditionally. pic.twitter.com/t5EFwCboEd — Eugene Gu, MD (@eugenegu) December 15, 2018 This was followed by Davidson’s post praising Mr. West for his bravery in which he wrote, “Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health. I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted.” The first sentiment is what really got people worried, and though some people posted negative comments on Pete’s actual post before deletion, the rest of the internet seemed to rally behind Davidson with celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi, and Jada Pinkett-Smith all reaching out to the comedian. Machine Gun Kelly even hopped right on a plane to fly to New York and make sure his friend was okay, since many who reached out were reporting that his phone was turned off. Pete Davidson … hang in there. There is a lot of help out here. Surrender to some love some where around you … today! Right now! And then … let in the help that will become available. I’m praying for you Pete. I’ve been there. It gets better. — Jada Pinkett Smith (@jadapsmith) December 15, 2018 im in the plane now on the way to see Pete. gonna make sure he’s good, i promise. can’t have my boy in the darkness like that. — colson (@machinegunkelly) December 15, 2018 As it turns out, it looks like Pete was at Saturday Night Live rehearsal while this all went down, and he actually ended up appearing on the show last night for a brief moment to introduce the show’s musical guest. Along with other celebrities, Davidson’s ex Ariana Grande also seemed concerned about his Instagram posts, releasing tweets apologizing for joking about Kanye and then seemingly showing up at 30 Rock in case Pete needed anything. Grande’s now-deleted tweets read, “”i’m so sorry i told a dumb joke,” she said. “i really didn’t mean any harm. all i want everyone to be healthy and happy. so desperately. please. my god,” she posted regarding her tweets about listening to her new single instead of watching grown men argue online. Her next tweet read, “I’m downstairs and I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything,” said the following tweet. “I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me, but i’m here too.” TMZ confirmed that Grande was at 30 Rock, where Saturday Night Live is taped, to see Davidson if she got a chance. After so many calls from fans, the police did end up pulling up at SNL to do a welfare check on Pete, confirming that he was OK following the scare before he appeared briefly on the show last night.

It seems like just yesterday that the Love & Hip Hop couple shocked the world by getting together long after their respective stints on the show, but now, they’re proving the skeptics wrong as they happily celebrate their first child together turning 1-year-old. In true mommy fashion, Cyn posted up a few emotional posts following up to Lexington’s birthday, one of just her baby boy and another of her and Joe in the delivery room following giving birth and meeting for the first time. She also thanked her baby daddy Budden for “being amazing father and soulmate.” Though the couple hasn’t posted any official party photos yet, they celebrated with friends and family at the crib on Saturday–where both Cyn and Joe kept it cute showing off the party on their respective Instagram stories. Santana shared before via twitter that the theme of the party was going to be “Elmo in Lex Land,” and as evidenced from pictures and videos, the festivities featured both a real-life Elmo and an Elmo cake to match. Just as Joe describes in the videos below, it looks like little Lexington is just trying to sleep while the festivities go on around him, but Cyn is excited enough about the party for the whole family. Though we got a glimpse into the party from the happy couple on their IG stories, we can expect to see some better footage in the coming days. She told fans on Twitter that they can report back later on whether or not Lex’s birthday was simple and cute or kinda extra Y’all tell me if Im being extra with Lex bday later.
