Pete Davidson Posts Messages About Struggling With Mental Health Before Deleting His Instagram Page

Source: ANGELA WEISS / Getty Pete Davidson Alarms Fans After Posting Concerning Messages To IG Some cryptic messages had fans and celebrities alike worried about SNL ‘s Pete Davidson on Saturday, which he posted before quickly deleting his Instagram page completely. Following Kanye West’s tweetstorm the previous day, where he addressed mental illness and his desire to desire to destigmatize it, Davidson–who is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder–posted a note saying that he doesn’t “want to be on this Earth anymore” before another note praising Kanye for his bravery in speaking out against mental health. In the first, now-deleted note, Pete wrote, “i really don’t wanna be on this earth anymore. i’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all i’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember i told you so.” No matter what we think of celebrities or public figures, Pete Davidson is a human being who deserves to live. The thousands of hurtful comments to him are shameful and inhumane. Please know Pete, that you are loved by millions. Most of all, your family loves you unconditionally. pic.twitter.com/t5EFwCboEd — Eugene Gu, MD (@eugenegu) December 15, 2018 This was followed by Davidson’s post praising Mr. West for his bravery in which he wrote, “Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health. I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted.” The first sentiment is what really got people worried, and though some people posted negative comments on Pete’s actual post before deletion, the rest of the internet seemed to rally behind Davidson with celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi, and Jada Pinkett-Smith all reaching out to the comedian. Machine Gun Kelly even hopped right on a plane to fly to New York and make sure his friend was okay, since many who reached out were reporting that his phone was turned off. Pete Davidson … hang in there. There is a lot of help out here. Surrender to some love some where around you … today! Right now! And then … let in the help that will become available. I’m praying for you Pete. I’ve been there. It gets better. — Jada Pinkett Smith (@jadapsmith) December 15, 2018 im in the plane now on the way to see Pete. gonna make sure he’s good, i promise. can’t have my boy in the darkness like that. — colson (@machinegunkelly) December 15, 2018 As it turns out, it looks like Pete was at Saturday Night Live rehearsal while this all went down, and he actually ended up appearing on the show last night for a brief moment to introduce the show’s musical guest. Along with other celebrities, Davidson’s ex Ariana Grande also seemed concerned about his Instagram posts, releasing tweets apologizing for joking about Kanye and then seemingly showing up at 30 Rock in case Pete needed anything. Grande’s now-deleted tweets read, “”i’m so sorry i told a dumb joke,” she said. “i really didn’t mean any harm. all i want everyone to be healthy and happy. so desperately. please. my god,” she posted regarding her tweets about listening to her new single instead of watching grown men argue online. Her next tweet read, “I’m downstairs and I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything,” said the following tweet. “I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me, but i’m here too.”  TMZ  confirmed that Grande was at 30 Rock, where  Saturday Night Live  is taped, to see Davidson if she got a chance. After so many calls from fans, the police did end up pulling up at SNL to do a welfare check on Pete, confirming that he was OK following the scare before he appeared briefly on the show last night.

Jack Osbourne Diagnosed With Multiple Sclerosis

Ozzy’s son, 26, is ‘angry and frustrated’ about the diagnosis, which comes just weeks after birth of his daughter. By Gil Kaufman Jack Osbourne Photo: Former “Osbournes” star Jack Osbourne has revealed that he’s been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Osbourne, 26, discovered that he suffers from the central nervous system disease just two weeks after celebrating the birth of his daughter, Pearl Clementine, with fiancée Lisa Stelly
. Osbourne told People magazine that the diagnosis shocked and angered him and has thrown him for a loop. “I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, ‘Why now?'” he told the magazine. “I’ve got a family and that’s what’s supposed to be the most important thing.” It’s unknown how the disease — which impacts the central nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord, causing problems with muscle control and strength as well as vision and balance — will impact Osbourne’s health. The results vary widely from patient-to-patient, which some suffering only minor health problems and others become seriously debilitated. Sister Kelly Osbourne tweeted about Jack on Sunday, writing, “Please support my brother @mrjacko in not only his bravery but honesty! I love you so much Jack & I’m so proud of you!” Jack, who has struggled with addiction in the past, kept a stiff upper lip , tweeting on Sunday that, “This is the best father’s day I’ve ever had! Hahaha.” He followed by thanking those who have reached out to him, writing, “Thank you all so much for the kind and inspirational words. It means a lot.” please support my brother @ mrjacko in not only his bravery but honesty! i love you so much jack & I’m so proud of you! people.com/people/article… — Kelly Osbourne (@MissKellyO) June 17, 2012 Mother Sharon Osbourne spoke to Britain’s Hello magazine, reportedly wondering if something she did may have contributed to her son’s illness. “I keep thinking, ‘what did I do wrong? What did I eat or drink when I was pregnant?’ I feel like it’s somehow my fault.” The mag also spoke to rock icon Ozzy, who wondered how his history of drug abuse didn’t catch up with him before his son. “If it was me, you’d think: ‘Ozzy had a reputation and it caught up with him,'” Ozzy said. “But Jack is such a good guy.” Jack said he’s trying to keep a positive attitude about the diagnosis and is treating the disease using a combination of drugs, holistic therapies and lifestyle changes.

Foo Fighters’ Tape Promo And More Rock Footnotes We’re Claiming

Our Bigger Than the Sound columnist is taking credit for that and five other moments in rock history. By James Montgomery James Montgomery interviews the Foo Fighters Photo: Jonathan Mussman / MTV News Honestly, I don’t know if I should be flattered or outraged right now. On Tuesday, the Foo Fighters released their (genuinely excellent) Wasting Light album, a snarling, knotty thing that, as anyone who bought a copy can attest to, also comes packaged with a snippet of the master tapes it was recorded on. I’ll be the first to admit that it’s a rather brilliant little marketing ploy, especially since I may have been the one who thought it up in the first place. See, last month, when I sat down with the Foos for the premiere of their “Rope” video , we spent a fair amount of time discussing Light ‘s recording process &#8212 and the band’s much-covered decision to make the album in Dave Grohl’s garage, directly to analog tape. At one point, Grohl told me that, after final mastering, he cut the master tapes up “into a million pieces,” which led me to suggest &#8212 half-jokingly, I will admit &#8212 that he should include the fragments of tape with the actual album. “What a great idea!” Grohl laughed. No kidding. And while the outrage I felt upon learning the Foos had, uh, appropriated my concept has subsided some (I’d still like a platinum plaque, though), the whole incident got me thinking. Because whether I meant for it to happen or not, over the years, I have been responsible for creating a lot of ancillary rock bullsh– just like the Wasting Light marketing scheme. I suppose I have a knack for inspiring footnotes in the ever-expanding book of rock and roll (as Musical March Madness has proven). So here’s a look back at some of my Greatest Hits: The Great Killers/Bravery Beef of 2005 Yes, I am the guy responsible for this petty feud, which was a very big deal back when folks mentioned the Killers and the Bravery in the same sentence (or, really, mentioned them at all). It all started when I interviewed Brandon Flowers in March 2005, just as the Killers’ Hot Fuss was gaining traction here in the States, and, flush with confidence, he took the opportunity to lay the verbal smackdown on the Bravery, whom he saw as pretenders to the Killers’ sparkly throne. “They’re signed because we’re a band,” he told me. “I’ve heard rumors about [members of] that band being in a different kind of band, and how do you defend that? If you say, ‘My heart really belongs to what I’m doing now,’ but you used to be in a ska band? I think people will see through them.” Oh, snap. The two sides would continue to spar for most of the year (my favorite part was when Bravery frontman Sam Endicott said Killers’ bassist Mark Stoermer looked like “a 9-foot-tall, Dutch-girl mutant”) before the beef eventually got too lean for anyone to care about. Though, in a semi-related note, a year later, Flowers told me that the Killers’ upcoming Sam’s Town would be “one of the best albums in the past 20 years,” a quote that would haunt him for the majority of the album’s cycle and, in a lot of ways, doom it completely. Needless to say, we haven’t spoken a whole lot since. The Fall Out Boy Song “West Coast Smoker” This is the final tune on their 2008 album Folie

‘Eclipse’ Soundtrack Includes Band Of Horses, Sia, Cee-Lo

Previously announced artists include Vampire Weekend, Muse, Beck and the Dead Weather. By James Montgomery Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Entertainment We already knew about Muse , and, then, throughout the day on Wednesday (May 12), we gradually added even more names to the list — Vampire Weekend, Beck and the Bravery , to rattle off just a few. And now, finally, we know it all: every artist that will contribute a song to the much-anticipated “Eclipse” soundtrack. Yes, over the course of seven very long hours, the folks at MySpace Music gradually revealed the list of artists and songs that would appear on the album, due June 8 . Now, that list is complete. From the looks of things, it’s shaping up to be a pretty excellent affair. In addition to the previously announced artists, we get a whole lot of indie (Florence and the Machine, Metric, Sia and Band of Horses); genuine fist-pumping, throat-ripping rock and roll (from Jack White’s the Dead Weather and Akron thumpers the Black Keys); ominous electro (UNKLE, who team up with the Black Angels on a track); oddball hip-hop (from Cee-Lo Green); and even some of the classy stuff, courtesy of Oscar-winning composer Howard Shore, who weighs in with “Jacob’s Theme.” As announced on author Stephenie Meyer’s website last week, the first single from the “Eclipse” soundtrack is slated to be Muse’s rather epically titled “Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever),” which will hit radio Monday. The “Eclipse” soundtrack complete track list: 1. Metric, “Eclipse (All Yours)” 2. Muse, “Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)” 3. The Bravery, “Ours” 4. Florence and the Machine, “Heavy in Your Arms” 5. Sia, “My Love” 6. Fanfarlo, “Atlas” 7. The Black Keys, “Chop and Change” 8. The Dead Weather, “Rolling in on a Burning Tire” 9. Beck and Bat for Lashes, “Let’s Get Lost” 10. Vampire Weekend, “Jonathan Low” 11. UNKLE (featuring the Black Angels), “With You in My Head” 12. Eastern Conference Champions, “A Million Miles an Hour” 13. Band of Horses, “Life on Earth” 14. Cee-Lo Green, “What Part of Forever” 15.
