Adele Tells Vogue She’s ‘Done With Being A Bitter Witch’

Grammy winner graces the March cover and tells the magazine that she’s ‘never writing a breakup record again.’ By Jocelyn Vena Adele Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic Shortly after winning six Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12) night, Adele told reporters in the press room that “it hasn’t really sunk in,” and in a just released interview and cover story with Vogue (which had been rumored late last year), she opened up about her pre-Grammys nerves and her hope that she would take home some Grammy gold for her chart-topping, record-breaking 21 . “I burst into tears when I found out,” she told the magazine about her nominations. “And I would love, absolutely love, to win. This record is coming to an end, and that would be the final brick on it.” (She eventually went on to sweep the show, winning the night’s big prizes, Record of the Year and Album of the Year.) On Sunday, she triumphantly returned to the stage to characteristically belt out her star-making breakup track, “Rolling in the Deep.” And when she spoke to Vogue in late 2011 for the interview, she already knew that was the song she wanted to return with. “I’m definitely going to be singing ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ ” she teased. “Because that’s been the biggest hit off the record in America. But I’m going to mix up a little bit — do a bit of a Beyonc

Nicki Minaj Shows Three Sides Of Herself On Magazine Covers

The rapper talks fashion, feminism and Jay-Z in interviews with Vibe, Allure and New York Magazine. By Jocelyn Vena Nicki Minaj on the cover of Vibe Photo: Vibe As Nicki Minaj prepares to release her new album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, in April, she’s all over newsstands. She will appear on three different magazine covers, each showing different sides of the rapper and touching on her many philosophies about her career, her persona and her place in the rap world. Allure teased its April cover featuring Minaj, in which the sassy songstress sports a big, pink tulle skirt. In the interview, she opens up about telling Jay-Z he really does need to Watch the Throne with her around. “I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show,” she recalled. “He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.’ ” Speaking of her supreme queen dominance, on the cover of the February/March issue of Vibe, she’s donning a sparkling crown and inside the issue she talks all about her place in the game as a woman. “It’s not hard to get your way when it’s your way or the highway. People either follow suit or they’re not around. I don’t really like the sound of that, ’cause that sounds like a temper tantrum. I’m just very black and white when it comes to my business,” she said. “There’s really no gray area. I really don’t have a lot of small talk with people I work with. It’s pretty much let’s get the job done. In the beginning, if people didn’t know me they’d probably assume I wasn’t smart or wasn’t business savvy. But once you sit and talk to me, it’s a different story.” And, then there’s her watercolor-y New York Magazine cover where the fashionista talks about her place among the hip fashion crowd. “I’m not impressed to be in that world. I’m in my own world. I think sometimes the fashion world isn’t even about clothes anymore; it’s about this ‘in’ crowd, and I’m not into that,” she explains, after sharing what her fashion mantra is. “I like the idea of doing something that everyone else is not. I get high off that. Just the idea that other people don’t have the balls to do something — that’s my thing.” What is your favorite Nicki Minaj magazine cover? Leave your comment below! ‘Breaking Dawn’ DVD Sells 3.2 Million In Two Days

By Jocelyn Vena Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1” DVD is, unsurprisingly, flying off the shelves. After the film was released to disc at midnight Saturday morning, it reportedly sold 3.2 million discs over the course of two days. But, that’s not all: The flick also snagged 50,000 downloads and 80,000 video-on-demand transactions during the two-day period when the sales were tracked, according to The Hollywood Reporter . The numbers make “Breaking Dawn” the top-selling release of the year. It bows at #1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert overall disc sales chart, followed by “Lady and the Tramp” and “A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas.” Now that it can be played on repeat, Twihards are certain to be memorizing every sweet and saucy moment of “Part 1,” before the final installment hits theaters this November. A scene from the Bill Condon-directed “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” played at a special Target in-store event just before “Part 1” dropped. Fans were treated to five minutes of footage , including behind-the-scenes shots of “Twilight” hunks Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner preparing for battle in the woods. The exclusive scene followed Bella as she finds a note in a book with instructions from Alice, explaining what to do to get new passports. The clip then cut to an emotional conversation between Edward and Bella, who share a juicy kiss. But, perhaps the scene fans most wanted to sink their teeth into was the first shot of vampire Bella, which included those famous red eyes and special-effects-aided speed. ‘Hunger Games’ Star Wes Bentley’s Beard ‘Did Half The Work’ For Him

Bentley, who plays Seneca Crane, tells MTV News his beard ‘took two hours to groom every day.’ By Kara Warner with reporting by Josh Horowitz Wes Bentley Photo: MTV News For those of us who’ve been following the news surrounding all the comings and goings of the lucky “Hunger Games” castmembers, one of the most intriguing is Wes Bentley in the role of Seneca Crane . Not only does Bentley bring a sense of gravitas to the character, but as we’ve seen in the released photos, his costume and makeup design is especially interesting. MTV News recently caught up with the “American Beauty” actor to discuss his pivotal role in the film and how much fun he had sporting that curiously shaped beard, which, sadly, he no longer has. “I would have loved to have kept the beard but that beard took two hours to groom every day,” Bentley said. “I don’t want to spend that much time in the bathroom.” We then brought up the fact that the beard has caused quite a stir among fans, spawning its own Facebook page as well as our own tongue-in-cheek interview with the fancy fuzz . “I saw that. I had no idea my beard was so clever,” Bentley said of the interview, adding that he is flattered by all the attention the beard has received. “It’s such a cool look. Ve Neill, the makeup designer, did such an amazing job. It’s exciting that it’s getting that kind of attention.” Bentley insisted that all the credit for the design of the beard goes to Neill, and that all he did was grow out everything as much as it could go. “I usually come to set with a beard and my hair as long as I can get it so there are options. I saw Ve before we started shooting and she was excited I had a beard because she had something special in mind. It was all her. She went at it for like three hours trying to find the right shape; it was cool.” Bentley joked that having the peculiar design on his face did half of his acting work for him and that he sometimes wishes he kept it. “The beard did half the work,” he joked, later admitting that he got a few curious glances whenever he ventured out to run errands during filming. “I did go into Target a few times late at night with the beard, because my son was there, it was a little odd buying baby formula with this beard and some of the makeup on.” What questions do you have for Wes Bentley’s beard? Bossip Exclusive: Idris Elba Talks Ghost Rider: The Spirit Of Vengeance, How The Best Revenge Is None At All And Ignoring Race In Hollyweird!

Y’all already know how much we appreciate Idris Elba for his ruggedly handsome good looks, incredible swagger and British charm so when we had the chance to chat with him about his upcoming role in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance we jumped at it. Along with the film, we also spoke with Idris about his recent Golden Globes win and how he feels about the role race plays in Hollyweird. Check out our interview below: BOSSIP: You have an upcoming film, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance . Can you tell me about what role your character Moreau plays in the film? Idris Elba: The character is sort of a warrior for hire, he is a priest but he also rides motorcycles, he likes wine, and he’s a monk, but he gets sent on a mission to find the ghost rider in this film. When you meet him, that’s where he has been, he has been trying to find the ghostrider. It’s a fun character for me, a lot of action stuff, I got to dress up, eye color change and I look a little crazy in the film but, it was a lot of fun! BOSSIP: You recently did the Thor movie as well, so, you are getting these Marvel characters down. Do you have your eye on any other Marvel parts like maybe a black superhero? Idris Elba: Yea, Marvel is a huge. It’s interesting, because my characters Moreau and Heimdall are not really related but in my head and my personal space, I think that they are related. I have thought about playing another superhero, like maybe Luke Chase, would be an interesting one to go for. I don’t know, we will see, I think some comic films are good and some are not. I would rather make a superhero character that is really good from scratch than make one that no one is interested in seeing yet. Keep reading for more on Idris’ thoughts about race in Hollyweird… Continue reading
