Hi Hater: Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel Told Teacher’s Union Prez That 25% Of Chicago Kids Ain’t Isht And Won’t Be Isht

His office says she’s lying, but something tells us she ain’t. Karen Lewis, the Chicago Teacher’s Union President, and Mayor Rahm Emanuel have a testy relationship at best. But it wasn’t always that way. The two leaders met privately last year ahead of Emanuel’s inauguration. They went for dinner and to attend a dance — both are fans of the art form — and to develop a working relationship. “We were both seeing who the other person was,” she said. Lewis said she got her answer about Emanuel’s character rather quickly. “In that conversation, he did say to me that 25 percent of the students in this city are never going to be anything, never going to amount to anything and he was never going to throw money at them.” She said the comment took her aback, and she looked at him askance. “Even if you feel that way, you can’t say that to me,” she said. “And he sort of poo-pooed it and we moved on.” The Mayor’s Office said Lewis made up the anecdote. “That’s simply false,” said Emanuel Press Secretary Sarah Hamilton. “The Mayor is committed to making sure that every single child in Chicago has access to an excellent education, which is why he is fighting so hard to transform the Chicago public schools that have failed our children year after year.” Lewis says the mayor says one thing in public and another in private. “I’ve only been in office a year and a half — I’m a classroom teacher — and nobody told me that when you say crazy stuff you’re not supposed to discuss it. And we talk about transparency and opening things up and having a real conversation about things… If you say one thing privately and another thing publicly, then how do we negotiate that?” During the interview, which will play in full on Friday’s edition of Ward Room the Television Show, Lewis said what really rubbed her the wrong way about the comment, and what prompted her to speak out, was that the mayor is often seen walking and talking with students who could be the very same ones she says he said he would never help. You can tell this chick ain’t been in politics but for a minute cuz she threw ol’ Rahm RIGHT UNDER THE BUS! Might be bad news for her, cuz that guy is super well connected and has been doing his line of work for a long time. Poor kids of Chicago though, riiiight? Source More On Bossip! Say It Ain’t So: Andre 3000 Tells GQ That There Will Not Be An Outkast Album Any Time Soon

C’mon man what the hell is going on?!?! GQ sat down with Mr. Benjamin to chop it up about the latest goings-on in the life of the Atlanta Hip-Hop icon. GQ: You’re a spokesman for Gillette now. How did that partnership come together? Andre 3000: Gillette is getting into a space where guys are now, where guys are wearing more hair on their faces. If you watch the history of Gillette, they pretty much stayed on the path of the clean-shaven guy. This is the first time in their history, in like 110 years, that they’ve ever had guys in ads with hair on their faces. It’s a changing of the times and it says a lot about Gillette; they’re kind of moving with fashion. GQ: I dig it. And you’re resurrecting your clothing line, Benjamin Bixby? Andre 3000: Yes! But it will just be named Bixby this time. It’s going to be real exciting, I can’t say too much about it, but I can say this year and next year there’s going to be a lot of cool things coming from me fashion-wise. Bixby is one of them. Also musically, sound-wise, and fashion. You’ll see a lot of releases. Which leads us to what we all really want to know… GQ : So does that mean we can expect to hear the album we’ve all be waiting on? Andre 3000 : It depends on which album you’re talking about. GQ : A new ‘Kast album! Andre 3000 : There’s been a lot of talk on the Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another OutKast album. There’s a lot of music on the horizon. I’ve been living off the excitement of new artists. I’ve been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, “Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.” So I’ve been taking those calls and for the last two years, I’ve been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I’ve just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I’m planning to do a solo project. I don’t know when it will come out, but hopefully it’ll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don’t know if or when that will happen. GQ : What’s the new solo album going to be like? Andre 3000 : The only thing I can really say is I’m going to get back to having fun because that’s what it was all about when I started this in high school—with OutKast—those were like high school dreams. I’m 36 now, so I have grown-man dreams. This album will just be me being myself as normal. In true 3000 fashion, Andre caps off the interview with something profound. GQ : Expectations for your next album couldn’t be higher. What are you most afraid of? Andre 3000 : The biggest fear is me thinking about it too much—and that’s why I’m just trying to catch the energy just like I’ve done before. What you all have heard before, I was not thinking, I was just going on cruise control. I was just going at it like any artist. When you look at the Wayne, when you look at the Kanye… I can tell when an artist is in the zone because they’re not thinking and that’s when you’re at your best. So I’m just hoping, at this point, I don’t let my history get in front of my future. You know what I mean? As much as we want a new Outkast album, we’ll definitely take an Andre solo album. DMX: “Jay-Z Is Jealous And I’m Not Feelin’ Drake Or Rick Ross”

Read the original:

In a recent interview, DMX suggests that Jay-Z is jealous of his talent and that he doesn’t like “anything about Drake.” He also expresses his opinion Rick Ross and reveals why a Ja Rule collabo never happened.  Check out what he had to say… During his interview with TBC, it became apparent that DMX is actually pretty funny. He’s surprisingly quick witted and had a joke for everything. But when the subject of beefs came up, he became extra serious. He said he thinks Def Jam stopped focusing on him as an artist AFTER Jay-Z took the reigns. He pretty much said Jay was jealous of his talent and wanted to take out the competition. He said the album with Ja-Rule never happended because of their egos. And he jokingly said he doesn’t like Rick Ross lyrically….and added that he talks about food entirely too much. He then dissed Drake saying, “I don’t like anything about Drake. I don’t like his voice. I don’t like anything he talks about. I don’t like his face…..” SOURCE

Rachel Crow Talks Up ‘Amazing’ Post-‘X Factor’ Career

‘Everything just kind of happened at once,’ 14-year-old tells MTV News about new TV and recording deals. By Kara Warner Rachel Crow Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Her elimination from “X Factor” made for one of the most shocking (and tear-filled) moments of the show, and now breakout star Rachel Crow will be crying tears of joy thanks to a newly inked recording contract with music-industry powerhouse Columbia Records and a TV deal with Nickelodeon. MTV News caught up with the spunky 14-year-old on Wednesday (February 22) to get the inside scoop on her new endeavors. “Everything just kind of happened at once. It was really cool for me. I’ve never had so many things happen — it’s just amazing,” Crow said of her recent career developments, the first of which we’ll see via Nickelodeon’s new comedy “Fred: The Show.” ” ‘Fred: The Show’ is so much fun to work on. The whole crew, the whole cast, everyone is amazing. What’s really cool is on that show, you get to show both sides — singing and acting — which is right up my alley,” Crow said of her five- to six-episode stint. “I’m loving the acting so much. It’s really fun for me. I have a fun character. She’s spunky and crazy, and she wants to be a star and her name is — drum roll — her name is Starr.” With regard to the pilot the network is developing around the bubbly singer/actress, Crow said the details are still being worked out but promised it will be something we’ve never seen before. “The goal with the pilot is to reach boy and girl audiences, because that’s hard to do. We’re still deciding if it’s going to be one topic or any topic. Hopefully my [character’s] name is Rachel, I hope,” she said. “It’s going to be edgy and really funny. I want to land the moms and the dads too, so hopefully it will be a family show.” In between her work on “Fred: The Show” and her new pilot, Crow is getting ready to record her first studio album at Columbia. “I want my first album to have a lot of high notes in songs,” Crow said. “I want there to be upbeat songs and slow songs, I want it to be retro and very soulful and I want at least one of my songs to have a guy rapping in it, because that is just so cool. Maybe Eminem can rap on it?” What are you expecting from Rachel’s post-“X Factor” career? Let us know in the comments below!

‘MTV First’: Watch An Extended NSFW Clip From ‘Wanderlust’

Movie’s stars Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd stop by for a chat about the movie, which premieres Friday. By Kevin P. Sullivan Paul Rudd in “Wanderlust” Photo: Universal As part of “MTV First,” Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston premiered a never-before-seen clip from their upcoming comedy “Wanderlust” … but that was only the beginning. In the clip, their characters embrace their new lives on the Elysium commune with some new, let’s say … experiences. Now we have an extended NSFW version of the same scene that takes a raunchier look at life at Elysium. The extended version contains some drug references, so some viewer discretion is advised. In “Wanderlust,” Rudd’s character, George, loses his job and leaves New York with his wife, Linda, in search of a new beginning. After a failed attempt to shack up with George’s brother, they head off again in search of a new home. But they accidentally wind up stuck in the hippie commune inhabited by a wide range of characters. One of those characters introduced in the clip is Seth, the spiritual leader of the commune, played by Aniston’s real-life boyfriend Justin Theroux . The couple met while making the film, and in the clip, we see their onscreen introduction. We’re also introduced to the characters played by Lauren Ambrose and Jordan Peele, Almond and Rodney. The clip was just the beginning of the fun. If you haven’t seen it already, be sure to check out MTV News’ Josh Horowitz’s entire interview with Rudd and Aniston, which followed the premiere of the new clip from “Wanderlust.” During the interview, they addressed things like onscreen nudity and took questions from the fans via Twitter. “Wanderlust” opens in theaters on Friday.
