Magic Mike Trailer: Quick Asses and a Few Gyrations From Channing Tatum & Co.

Hot dudes and with asses in air… A few thongs and strippers galore. A party in Miami, Key West or Palm Springs? Nahh… It’s Magic Mike of course and the latest trailer shows off a bit of skin courtesy of Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey — the resident hotties who will hold court in their sexiest in Steven Soderbergh’s latest film. There was a time in the not too distant past that Soderbergh said he was ” retiring ” from filmmaking, but things clearly changed and he found inspiration to continue. Good for him, since most ladies (and some gentlemen) will likely enjoy the show. By the way, there are more ass and skin scenes with Matthew McConaughey — and even a little bondage — to be had in Lee Daniels’ new film, The Paperboy , which premiered in Cannes last month . But back to Magic Mike … the story revolves around a male stripper who teaches a younger performer how to party, pick up women, and make easy money. “They also had to be able to do what we needed them to do and willing to do what we needed them to do,” Soderbergh told Indiewire back in January about making the film. “But I mean, we got really lucky. All these guys were great and have brought something specific to the movie. There’s nothing like shared potential humiliation to bond.” We can’t agree more… And what do you think of the fleshy teases? Check it out… Magic Mike hits theaters on June 29.

Rachel Crow Talks Up ‘Amazing’ Post-‘X Factor’ Career

‘Everything just kind of happened at once,’ 14-year-old tells MTV News about new TV and recording deals. By Kara Warner Rachel Crow Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Her elimination from “X Factor” made for one of the most shocking (and tear-filled) moments of the show, and now breakout star Rachel Crow will be crying tears of joy thanks to a newly inked recording contract with music-industry powerhouse Columbia Records and a TV deal with Nickelodeon. MTV News caught up with the spunky 14-year-old on Wednesday (February 22) to get the inside scoop on her new endeavors. “Everything just kind of happened at once. It was really cool for me. I’ve never had so many things happen — it’s just amazing,” Crow said of her recent career developments, the first of which we’ll see via Nickelodeon’s new comedy “Fred: The Show.” ” ‘Fred: The Show’ is so much fun to work on. The whole crew, the whole cast, everyone is amazing. What’s really cool is on that show, you get to show both sides — singing and acting — which is right up my alley,” Crow said of her five- to six-episode stint. “I’m loving the acting so much. It’s really fun for me. I have a fun character. She’s spunky and crazy, and she wants to be a star and her name is — drum roll — her name is Starr.” With regard to the pilot the network is developing around the bubbly singer/actress, Crow said the details are still being worked out but promised it will be something we’ve never seen before. “The goal with the pilot is to reach boy and girl audiences, because that’s hard to do. We’re still deciding if it’s going to be one topic or any topic. Hopefully my [character’s] name is Rachel, I hope,” she said. “It’s going to be edgy and really funny. I want to land the moms and the dads too, so hopefully it will be a family show.” In between her work on “Fred: The Show” and her new pilot, Crow is getting ready to record her first studio album at Columbia. “I want my first album to have a lot of high notes in songs,” Crow said. “I want there to be upbeat songs and slow songs, I want it to be retro and very soulful and I want at least one of my songs to have a guy rapping in it, because that is just so cool. Maybe Eminem can rap on it?” What are you expecting from Rachel’s post-“X Factor” career? Let us know in the comments below!

‘MTV First’: Watch An Extended NSFW Clip From ‘Wanderlust’

Movie’s stars Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd stop by for a chat about the movie, which premieres Friday. By Kevin P. Sullivan Paul Rudd in “Wanderlust” Photo: Universal As part of “MTV First,” Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston premiered a never-before-seen clip from their upcoming comedy “Wanderlust” … but that was only the beginning. In the clip, their characters embrace their new lives on the Elysium commune with some new, let’s say … experiences. Now we have an extended NSFW version of the same scene that takes a raunchier look at life at Elysium. The extended version contains some drug references, so some viewer discretion is advised. In “Wanderlust,” Rudd’s character, George, loses his job and leaves New York with his wife, Linda, in search of a new beginning. After a failed attempt to shack up with George’s brother, they head off again in search of a new home. But they accidentally wind up stuck in the hippie commune inhabited by a wide range of characters. One of those characters introduced in the clip is Seth, the spiritual leader of the commune, played by Aniston’s real-life boyfriend Justin Theroux . The couple met while making the film, and in the clip, we see their onscreen introduction. We’re also introduced to the characters played by Lauren Ambrose and Jordan Peele, Almond and Rodney. The clip was just the beginning of the fun. If you haven’t seen it already, be sure to check out MTV News’ Josh Horowitz’s entire interview with Rudd and Aniston, which followed the premiere of the new clip from “Wanderlust.” During the interview, they addressed things like onscreen nudity and took questions from the fans via Twitter. “Wanderlust” opens in theaters on Friday. ‘Catfish’ Trio Discuss Controversial Documentary’s Aftermath

‘We just wanted to start a conversation with this film,’ filmmaker Henry Joost tells MTV News. By Kara Warner Nev Schulman Photo: MTV News Audiences are still talking about “Catfish,” the 2010 Sundance darling and one of the year’s most heavily hyped documentaries. Now that the film has opened in select theaters across the country, more and more people are joining in on the “Is it real?” debate , as well as looking into the nuts and bolts of how the film came to be. In brief, the documentary revolves around NYC-based photographer Nev Schulman and the series of curious events that occur when he begins an online friendship with a precocious 8-year-old artist from a small town in Michigan and a romantic relationship with her older sister. When MTV News caught up with filmmakers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, along with Nev, we asked them — without spoiling anything — how the film’s supporting characters are doing back in Michigan. “Things in Michigan are good,” Joost said. “We still have friends there, and they are becoming involved in the marketing of the film in a cool way, designing posters. We’re pretty excited about that.” Joost also said those friends were part of a small art show tied to the film’s New York premiere. Regarding the strong reactions both audiences and critics have had to the film, Joost said there is a common theme. “I’d say maybe not the most common reaction, but a very common reaction is ‘Wow. Now let me tell you what happened to me; let me tell you what happened to my friend or my cousin or my mom,’ ” he said. “It’s incredible how many stories there are like this out there, and I think the film is kind of an open door to tell those stories now, that are sometimes embarrassing but often lead to good things.” Joost added that their goal in making the film was to just get people talking. “We just wanted to start a conversation with this film and just continue the conversation we’ve been having in the editing room for two years,” he said. What do you think of the buzz surrounding “Catfish”? Did the film make you rethink your approach to social networking or online relationships at all? Let us know in the comments! ‘Iron Man 2’ Director Jon Favreau Reveals Deleted Scenes

‘There are scenes that I like that don’t fit into the movie,’ Favreau says of the future DVD extras. By Larry Carroll, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jon Favreau Photo: MTV News For decades, the stuff of Hollywood legend has been created by independently-minded directors and bottom-line-loving studio suits clashing over the final cut of a film. Sometimes, the studio is right ( “28 Days Later” comes to mind), and sometimes the filmmaker needs to be left alone (see: “Brazil” ), but these battles are more common than you’d think. So it should come as no surprise that Marvel and “Iron Man 2” director Jon Favreau — got along splendidly? “Yeah, yeah, there’s another cut that I would have had that’s, like, 50 minutes longer,” the filmmaker teased sarcastically when asked if he had one of the increasingly popular “director’s cut” versions that film fans see everywhere these days. “No, it doesn’t work that way at Marvel.” When we visited the set of the new superhero film , we saw Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. working closely with the laid-back, jeans-and-baseball-hat-wearing head of Marvel Studios — and Favs assured us that it wasn’t just for show. “That’s the nice thing about working at Marvel; they’re very supportive of the director. I’ve been given a lot of creative freedom there,” he said. “Kevin Feige, who runs the studio and is also the producer, is a partner creatively. And when we make changes, it’s ones that we’re all comfortable with. “I like to be very collaborative with them,” he continued. “So it’s not like there is a version that they strong-armed me into not using. I stand behind the one that is out there.” Somebody might want to give some career advice to Terry Gilliam and urge him to take on a Marvel flick. For his part, however, Favreau does admit there were a handful of scenes that came closer to making the film than others. “There are scenes that I like that don’t fit into the movie that I think are great, and I’ve included them in the DVD,” Favreau revealed. “It was like the thing where Gwyneth kisses the helmet and throws it out [of the airplane]. … There’s a [deleted] scene that leads up to that. It’s wonderful, but what it does is ruin the surprise and ruins the momentum of the movie in the beginning. “[The scene occurs] on a real C17 that we shot it on,” he explained. “But there’s a little bit of a misdirect that we wanted to sell, and the reveal of him landing on the stage being revealed for the first time was better. Also, [Paltrow’s character] Pepper had two introduction scenes, and so, structurally, there were issues with it that are hard to explain unless you see the whole cut.” Another deleted scene involved Scarlett Johansson, a repulsor and some heavy flirtation. “That one’s an interesting one, because the relationship between Tony and Pepper is so special to the audience that it’s [delicate],” Favreau said of making Johansson’s sensual character appear to be too close to Tony. “If you let him and Scarlett get too flirty and get too close, the audience turns off really quickly, because they really want to root for [Tony and Pepper] together.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Iron Man 2.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . Crystal Bowersox And Lee Dewyze Earn High Praise From ‘American Idol’ Judges With ‘Falling Slowly’

The pair’s duet on song from ‘Once’ has judges raving on movie night. By Kara Warner Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze Photo: FOX Tuesday”s “American Idol”” was to be, in the words of Ryan Seacrest, “a theme fit for a star,” and all about paying tribute to the movies . And with cool-as-a-cucumber mentor Jamie Foxx and several interesting song selections in tow, the Top 4 gave it their all. Sort of. The judges agreed that the evening’s two duets, “Falling Slowly” by Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze; and “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman” by Michael Lynche and Casey James, were better than the contestants’ solo performances. And there’s not much question that Crystal and Lee’s dueling-guitar version of the Oscar-winning “Once” tune sung by Glen Hansard and Mark
