Eminem: I’m Ten Years Sober!

Big news for Eminem this weekend … He just announced that Friday marked ten whole years of being clean and sober! “Celebrated my 10 years yesterday,” he wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of his ten-year chip from his recovery program. And really, isn’t this just amazing? Eminem doesn’t do too many interviews, but in an old one from 2011, he explained just how bad things got before he was able to get clean. Apparently his drug problem began back in 2002, when he was filming 8 Mile. He said that the days were very long, and he was only able to sleep at certain times, so to help him out, someone gave him an Ambien. He enjoyed it and got a prescription, and after building a tolerance, he slowly began taking more than he was supposed to take at a time. “Then,” he said, “when I got off probation for my felonies and I didn’t have to drop urine anymore, the reins came off,” and when he went on tour in 2005, “I was f-cked up every night.” After that, Em said that he felt like he needed to take pills to “feel normal,” and to get high he had to take “a ridiculous amount.” “I want to say in a day I could consume anywhere from 40 to 60 Valium. And Vicodin … maybe 20, 30? I don’t know. I was taking a lot of sh-t.” See what we mean about how amazing it is that he’s 10 years clean now ? But even though his addiction was clearly terrible then, things got even worse in 2006 when his friend and fellow rapper Proof was killed. “I remember days I spent just f-cking taking pills and crying,” he recounted in the interview. “It creeps me out sometimes to think of the person I was. I was a terrible person. I was mean to people. I treated people around me sh-tty.” In December of 2007, he overdosed on methadone — he’d begun taking it because he was told it was similar to Vicodin. He doesn’t remember much about the overdose, but he recalled collapsing in his bathroom and then waking up in the hospital. Doctors told him that he was “about two hours from dying.” After a week in the hospital, he went home, but he hadn’t fully detoxed. He said that he was very weak, and he somehow tore the cartilage in his knee and required surgery. But since he still had the methadone in his system, he had a seizure and had to go back to the hospital for a third time. Remarkably, after surviving all that, he relapsed again a few weeks after being released, and he said that’s when he knew that “I either get help, or I am going to die.” And apparently, judging by his new Instagram post, he finally became clean on April 20th, 2008! As you probably know, Eminem has many, many diehard fans, so he received a whole, whole bunch of support after sharing this milestone. So many people congratulated him on his achievement, and others shared that he had inspired them to get clean as well. A few people suggested that this chip proves that he’s a member of the Illuminati, because you know there’s always some of those fools out there. To celebrate his anniversary — or maybe not to celebrate, but hey, it’s happening — Eminem will be performing tonight at Coachella. If you’re out there and happen to see him, be sure to applaud him for this! View Slideshow: 25 Celebrities Who Have Been to Rehab

Guns & Hip Hop: 7 Rappers That Should Join Killer Mike & Vic Mensa In Gun Debate

Source: Paul Morigi / Getty This past weekend Killer Mike caused a wave of controversy when he did an interview with NRA TV advocating gun ownership and condemning the school walkouts over gun control. He immediately faced backlash for doing the interview, especially since the National Rifle Association (NRA) has been notoriously silent on what it means to be a Black  gun owner . Eventually, Mike posted two videos apologizing for the interview, saying he supports the March For Our Lives and only wanted to advocate  Black people owning guns. The whole incident caused fellow rapper Vic Mensa (who performed at March For Our Lives) to speak out on Twitter. To @KillerMike : YOU DONT NEED AN AR-15. As a black man & fellow gun owner I would like to have a debate with you about your stances on gun-control. — vino valentino (@VicMensa) March 24, 2018 Killer Mike went on to respond. We got the same publicist and u have my phone number. I ain’t dodge’n u. https://t.co/OQRxBYSVSW — Killer Mike (@KillerMike) March 24, 2018 With gun violence being a major topic in rap music, a debate amongst rhymers wouldn’t be a bad idea. Jenelle Evans: MTV Should Have Fired Me Instead of David Eason!

If you want to hear some elaborate, bizarre, kind of hilarious delusions, then Jenelle Evans is your girl. And, as we’re starting to learn, it looks like David Eason is your man. To refresh your memory on what’s going on with these people real quick, David got fired last month after going on an unhinged Twitter rant. He made lots of homophobic remarks , including likening gay and transgender people to dogs with fleas, and he made lots of intense pro-gun statements. Which, you know, was pretty alarming for a guy who’s been convicted of violent crimes and who apparently has an arsenal in his home. Oh, and he also told Chelsea Houska’s dad to “eat a bag of dicks,” so that wasn’t good either. So David got fired for that, and we know that because MTV released a statement about how “effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him.” After that, it wasn’t clear what would happen with Jenelle. Several reports claimed that network executives were trying to figure out what to do with her, and there was a real chance she could lose her job. Earlier this week, another report stated that she’d be resuming filming soon , and that those new episodes would focus on her relationship with her mother, since David is still out. But both Jenelle and David gave a little interview to TMZ, and the way they tell it, that’s not the whole story. And before we get started, just know that you’re going to want to prepare yourself: their story is really, truly ridiculous. First, David was asked if he felt like he should apologize to the LGBT community, and this goof-ass actually answered with “I mean, I don’t even know what that means, so …” Yep, he’s trying to say that he’s so far removed from anyone that could possibly be gay that he doesn’t even know what “LGBT” means. OK, bud. “But for gay people or whatever, if that’s what that abbreviation means, I’m sorry.” The poor soul doing the interview confirmed that LGBT does mean “gay people or whatever,” and David said “Yeah, but see, I don’t even know. I don’t study that. It’s not in my life, it’s not in my family’s life to have to worry about something like that.” The ignorance actually hurts, doesn’t it? He explained that “if it become a problem, then we would focus on it then,” because obviously to him, having an LGBT family member would be “a problem.” Just … OK, David. OK. Next he was asked if he felt like MTV wronged him by firing him, and he said “MTV never fired me.” See what we mean about the delusions? “I don’t know who posted the thing on Twitter from the MTV account, but whoever runs MTV’s social media is not the boss man,” he said. “That’s not the person that makes the rules.” “They never called me and said I was fired,” he continued. “They never told me that I’m not getting my money. So they can do whatever they want, because it doesn’t really matter to me.” By the way, during this whole conversation, Jenelle is just standing there, and it really looks like she knows how embarrassing he’s being right now. Because of course he was fired. It was tweeted by someone on the social media team, obviously, but the statement came from higher up. Everyone knows that. He tried to say that they told him they didn’t want to film for the next three episodes, which, as we’ve heard, would be the last three episodes of the season. Meaning that he was fired immediately, not that they wanted him to take some kind of break. Interestingly though, when he was asked if he’d be filming next season, Jenelle said “if we have one,” which kind of sounds like she’s trying to say a new season of Teen Mom 2 is up in the air altogether? But she corrects herself, saying that they’d film “if we want to do it.” And hold on to your hats, friends, because here’s where it gets extra wild. Jenelle told TMZ that “The big issue with MTV right now that I’m having a hard time swallowing is … no offense, but they showed me shooting up heroin. They showed me smoking weed. They showed me almost ODing on a couch.” “But he gets fired.” Wait, so David just did that whole big thing about not being fired, then she decided to follow up with all the awful things she’s done on the show that she should have been fired for? And then confirmed that he was fired? Do these people even listen to themselves?! Apparently not, because David jumped right on that train with her, adding that “they showed Ryan driving on drugs and almost killing everybody , and he’s not fired.” So are you fired or not, David? According to a source who spoke with The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, he’s definitely fired. The source explained that he said he wasn’t fired because “he thinks he quit” because after being asked to apologize for his remarks, he refused. And so “by not agreeing to do what they wanted, he knew he was going to be off the show. So he believes HE made that choice, not MTV.” As for his statement about not filming the next three episodes, the source said that he’s “not really lying” there, because a new season hasn’t been confirmed yet. So officially, there are only three episodes left to film. But when the show gets picked up again — because come on, you know it will be, “he will not be part of it.” View Slideshow: Jenelle Evans: Keeping Job on Teen Mom 2 or Getting Fired? The Truth Revealed! And we look forward to hearing all about that meltdown whenever he finally figures out what’s happening. But of course we do fear for any balloons that may be around him at that time.

Teri Hatcher: Is She Really Homeless and Suicidal?

Teri Hatcher starred on Desperate Housewives and Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman . She's been on commercials. She even guest starred on Supergirl last year. But a new report came out, claiming that she's broke, living out of her van, and possibly suicidal. Could it be? In the video below, you'll see an interviewer sit down with Teri to learn the truth. On Thursday, Teri Hatcher sat down — on International Women's Day , no less — to explain how the explosive report about her current living situation came to be. “The way this works is: a couple of weeks ago, the magazine reached out to my publicist to say: 'We have the paparazzi photos of Teri at the beach.'” Specifically, the photos were of her, in and beside a van. “Which, by the way, I was filming a drive-by for my show. You know, we have the van driving around Los Angeles. And we were doing some beach drive-bys. They looked beautiful.” She has a YouTube series in which she travels in a van and sits down with people to talk. She continues: “So they had these photos of me being in the van, and they said they were going to run this story about me being broke — and I think they used the word 'suicidal' and 'homeless' and whatever.” She says that her representatives shut that down. “And my lawyer and my publicist said 'that's categorically not true, you can't print that; she's doing a YouTube show, that's her van. She has many homes in many states all over the country. There's nothing about this that's true.'” In fact, if you were to look up Hatcher's estimated net worth, you'd find that she's worth approximately $50 million. “And then they went and ran it anyway.” Oh wow. “And that is even more egregious that it was so purposefully hurtful.” She says that there's more to this than people may have realized. She says that the story about her is part of a sexist narrative that tabloid exploit. “Again, the reason that it's important for me to talk about it is because, you know, also on that cover was a picture of Sharon Stone.” She gets into that context and talks about why it's important. “A beautiful picture of Sharon Stone. Tripping, I guess, on a curb, like many people do.” Again, that's tripping on a curb, physically, not tripping balls , pharmaceutically. (The city streets where I live are old and I trip on them a lot) “And the caption was 'Near 60 Sharon Stone Collapses.'” Oh my. She talks about what these two stories playing out on the same cover made her think. “And it just made me think, you know, as actresses age, as women age in our society, magazines like this are fostering a culture of disrespect.” Some might argue that magazines are just using an existing culture of disrespect — of misogyny and of ageism — in order to sell themselves. “Of trying to take down and take away the power of women who have accomplished a lot in their careers.” That's so sad. But Teri says that she won't be silenced. “Who have a lot still to say.” When she shared a behind-the-scenes photo of her interview, Teri spoke triumphantly in the captions: “Getting the last laugh on #internationalwomensday. We all deserve a society where women of all ages are respected, and that can start with not accepting lies on the cover of a magazine.” She's absolutely right. Women deserve respect. There are plenty of stars who squandered millions or even tens of millions. Teri, however, is not one of them. Watch her interview here:
