Kate Upton: Clash of the Sports Illustrated Covers!

As previously reported, Kate Upton has been chosen as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model. Yes, you’ve likely read that sentence before. Because this is the third time Upton has been honored with this special issue’s cover, having flaunted her body for the magazine’s feature photo in 2012 and 2013 as well. Despite being named Rookie of the Year in 2011 by Sports Illustrated editors – following her first set of bikini photos within the publication’s pages – Upton wasn’t very well know five years ago. “If I got the cover, I would be really excited. It would be really amazing,” Kate said while shooting for the 2012 issue, adding at the time: “It’s always what I’ve talked about. I grew up in an American family, so it always was on the coffee table and to be that girl on the magazine on the coffee table would just be really groundbreaking for me.” The dream became a reality shortly after Upton sat down for this interview. And the following 2012 cover launched her into superstardom: A year later, it was off to Antarctica for Upton and her fellow models. “When you think you’re going for a Sports Illustrated shoot, you think beach – sometimes it can be chilly and there’s going to be wind, but when you know you’re going to Antarctica, you know you’re going to be freezing and half naked,” Kate said that year. “And I was very nervous because I grew up in Florida and I don’t do well in the snow when I’m fully dressed.” Upton was anything but fully dressed for this pictorial. Yes, she donned a winter jacket for the occasion. But she didn’t wear a top of any kind! Those enormous breasts were exposed to all the winter elements, not to mention a readership of millions. “This specific shot was on the boat,” Upton explained back then of the cover, adding: “It was the last shot of the round and the gave me coat, which, at the time, I thought was a miracle. At one point, I was sitting on the railing and then came down. “The wind was blowing and they let me put my hood up and who’ve known that would’ve been the cover?” After being featured on a pair of covers, word spread this year that Upton would not pose for SI at all unless she was given yet another cover. We can’t confirm if that diva-like demand actually went down. All we can say for certain is that Upton is, indeed, covering the Swimsuit Edition once again. And we don’t think any guy out there is complaining. So there you have it. Now you’ve ogle Kate Upton bikini photos from 2012, 2013 and 2017. Saturday Night Live Takes on Sean Spicer and Jeff Sessions in Hilarious Opening!

These are dark times, friends, and there's no denying that. But while these are dark times – maybe even the darkest, who knows? – we also have quite a few rays of light to carry us through. One of those rays is Saturday Night Live and the brilliant work they've been doing with mocking and belittling the complete and utter mess that is the U.S. government these days. And last night, they really went for it. For the opening, we were treated to a hilarious reprisal of  Melissa McCarthy's impression of Sean Spicer , Donald Trump's press secretary. She was loud, unnecessarily aggressive, obnoxious – just like the real Sean Spicer! – in a skit that may have even topped last week's Another highlight of the skit was Kate McKinnon's simply incredible impression of Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Sessions' brief interlude during Spicer's news conference sadly didn't last too long before he started getting racist, so he had to leave. The whole thing is even more delightful when you remember that last week, we heard a report that  Trump didn't appreciate Melissa's version of Spicer because “Trump doesn't like his people to look weak.” And he looked weak, naturally, because he was played by a woman. So with Melissa coming back as Spicer, plus Kate's debut as Sessions, the White House crew must not be too happy right now. McKinnon also played Elizabeth Warren and, in a controversial turn, a deranged Kellyanne Conway in a Fatal Attraction-esque skit last night. All that was missing was her classic portrayal of Hillary Clinton as a workaholic cyborg, but Kate has been on fire these days. Keep up the good fight, Saturday Night Live . Frank Ocean SLAMS Taylor Swift: She Doesn’t Deserve a Grammy!

Frank Ocean is a national treasure. So talented. So beautiful. But while we adore Frank, it seems that he does not feel the same way about the Grammy Awards. Not even a little bit. See, back in 2013, he performed at the Grammys . There were some issues with the performance — it was a live show on a huge scale, after all. And that’s fine, it happens. But for some petty reason, a couple of producers from the awards show decided to run their mouths about it, four years later. “We executed his vision knowing that it was faulty ,” a producer named Ken Ehrilch told Rolling Stone in a new interview. “And we tried to tell him that, we tried to tell his management that, we tried to tell the record label that.” Ken called Frank’s performance “rigid” and “faulty,” and that it was “not great TV,” and that the reason he hasn’t been involved with the Grammys in the years since is because he was upset about it. And, well, Frank heard about the interview. And he didn’t appreciate it. In fact, he felt strongly enough to address it in all all-caps rant on Tumblr. “OK Ken (and David),” he began, David being the other producer that talked trash. “As much as I hate to make you guys famous or even to respond to you directly. We all die one day and you’re old so f-ck it.” “Yea yeah my 2013 performance at the Grammys was absolute sh-t. Technical difficulties, blah blah. Thanks for the reminder. Very much appreciated.” “F-ck that performance though,” he continued. “You think that’s why I kept my work out of the Grammy process this year? Don’t you think I would’ve wanted to play the show to ‘redeem’ myself if I felt that way?” It’s a fair point, but Frank hasn’t even hit his stride yet. “In reality,” he wrote, “I actually wanted to participate in honoring Prince on the show but then I figured my best tribute to that man’s legacy would be to continue to by myself out here and to be successful.” “Winning a TV award doesn’t christen my successful. It took my some time to learn that. I bought all my masters back last year in the prime of my career, that’s successful.” “‘Blonde’ sold a million plus without a label, that’s successful. I am young, black, gifted and independent.. that’s my tribute.” OK, and now we’re about to get into the Taylor Swift shade … Frank said that “I’ve actually been tuning into CBS around this time of year for a while to see who gets the top honor and you know what’s really not ‘great TV’ guys?” “1989 getting album of the year over To Pimp a Butterfly. Hands down one of the most ‘faulty’ TV moments I’ve seen.” He’s referring, of course, to Taylor’s last album, 1989, and how it beat out Kendrick Lamar’s amazing To Pimp a Butterfly for the Album of the Year Grammy. “Believe the people,” he advised the Grammy producers. “Believe the ones who’d rather watch select performances from your program on YouTube the day after because your show puts them to sleep.” “Use the old gramophone to actually listen bro,” he went on. “I’m one of the best alive. And if you’re up for a discussion about the cultural bias and general nerve damage the show you produce suffers from then I’m all for it.” “Have a good night.” And, well, he’s not wrong. About any of it. Taylor’s album sold extremely well, and it was fun and catchy, but Kendrick Lamar definitely had the better album. Just like, all those years ago, Beyonce had the better music video . It’s a good thing Taylor doesn’t have a new album this year — we have a feeling we know who’d be getting the pointed, misguided speech this year. Is He A F-ck Boy Or For Real? Tony Rock Breaks It Down

Tony Rock isn’t the first person you think of when it comes to relationship advice, but after the way he read Steve Harvey’s mess we figured, why not? Well, there’s also the fact that Rock is the host of TV One’s new show, “The Game of Dating.” The hilarious dating show just premiered last Tuesday and features three teams of friends and/or family members watching real dates in a “hidden camera” style with viewers acting as judges. Since Rock is all things love and dating right now, we reached out for a little guidance of our own. We asked the comedian to help us decide between a man that’s for real and one that’s a f-ck boy. See what he said when we put these scenarios in front of him. [ madamenoire ] “I Believe That This President Should Be Impeached.” Congresswoman Maxine Waters On Her Plan To Get Trump Out Of Office I know my friends, family and I are disgusted by the results of our recent presidential election, the executive orders that have passed since Trump took office and the cabinet members and nominations he’s put in place since his first day on the job. But you have to wonder if other politicians feel some type of ire. Are they still willing to give Donald Trump a chance? Are they just going to wait out the next four years? Well, there’s one Congresswoman who is not going to sit idly by. Maxine Waters has been serving as a Democratic Representative for the past 27 years. She’s advocated against apartheid, opposed mandatory minimum sentencing and now she’s taking on Donald Trump. Waters has never minced words when it comes to Trump. As we reported earlier, when Tamron Hall asked Waters if she were attending the inauguration, Waters said plainly, “I don’t honor him. I don’t respect him and I don’t want to be involved with him.” [ madamenoire ] O-Dog AKA Larenz Tate Joins Cast Of Starz Series Power Veteran actor Larenz Tate, who exploded on the scene in his now-infamous role as violent gangster O-Dog in Menace II Society, has joined the cast of the Starz hit drama, Power. Tate will not be brandishing braids and pistols in this role, this time playing an elected official on the series. Deadline reports: Tate will play Councilman Rashad Tate, a city councilman from Jamaica Queens. Power follows James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a drug kingpin living a double life who in season 4 seeks to find redemption. Power returns for its fourth season this summer. Courtney A. Kemp serves as the creator, showrunner and executive producer of Power. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Mark Canton, Randall Emmett and Gary Lennon serve as executive producers. Tate has kept busy on the scene with recent roles in FX’s Rescue Me, NBC’s Game Of Lies series which was canceled in 2016, and appeared on Showtime’s House of Lies as well. Al Roker Bids Emotional Farewell to Tamron Hall

Well, that escalated quickly. And, based on what we've been hearing via the rumor mill, it also escalated in rather bitter fashion. Just a few weeks ago, Megyn Kelly left Fox News and joined NBC. Both the journalist and network executives then confirmed that Kelly would be hosting some kind of five-days-a-week series for her new home… and that it would air each morning, disrupting the four-hour block of Today Show programming that has been in place for yeas. Whether Kelly's show airs at 9am or 10am, it became public knowledge that Tamron Hall and Al Roker would no longer anchor their very own hour. Therefore, in response, Hall chose not to sign a new contract with NBC. “The last 10 years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I'm grateful. I'm also very excited about the next chapter,” Hall said via statement, adding: “To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you.” With Hall already gone from Today, Roker took a few moments this morning to address the awkward and unfortunate turn of events. “As some of you may have heard by now, our good friend Tamron Hall has decided to leave NBC News,” said the veteran weatherman. “Personally, Tamron has been not just a cohost on Today for the past three years, but a good friend – and to not just me, but to all of us here. “We want to wish her nothing but the best, much continued success, and we cannot wait to see what her next chapter is.” Watch Roker's full message in support of Hall below:

Johnny Depp: Where Did All His Money Go?

As we reported earlier this week, several sources are claiming that Johnny Depp is flat broke , as a result of years of extravagant spending on incredibly posh luxury items. Some of his financial woes are the result of his wildly expensive divorce from Amber Heard , which has cost the actor than $7 million in settlement cash, to say nothing of what he was forced to fork over in terms of assets and legal fees. All told, the ill-fated marriage probably plundered Captain Jack’s treasure chest for upwards of 10 mill, but that’s chump change to a screen icon with a wildly lucrative Disney franchise, right? Well – not if the stories about Depp’s spending are true, and as unbelievable as they sound, they come from a reliable source. Depp recently tried to sue his financial management firm, TMG, for mishandling his funds. TMG countersued, and the court documents published by several media outlets paint a picture of a man who loves the high life and spends without a thought for his own future. The spending habit that’s grabbed the most headlines is Depp’s tendency to spend upwards of $30,000 a month on wine. At $360,000 a year, that’s certainly a lot of high-end vino, but by itself the costly vintages wouldn’t put too much of a dent in Depp’s bank account. After all, this is a guy who’s pulled in $25 million a picture for the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, plus back-end percentages on everything from box office to merchandising. By some estimates the franchise has earned him upwards of half a billion dollars. The actor has even said that he was “overpaid” for this films, confessing that he made “stupid money” and did it solely to ensure a comfortable future for his kids. Unfortunately, if TMG’s claims are to be believed, there may not be much for left over for Lily-Rose and Jack Depp. The company alleges “extravagant and extreme” spending on Depp’s part that left in the position of being forced to pay his income taxes late several years in a row. And just what in the hell did he blow all that cash on? Well, in addition to those crates of ’47 Bordeaux, Depp dropped an unknown quantity of cash on the ultimate celebrity status symbol: a private island. And, of course, no Bahamian paradise would be complete with a massive yacht: Depp’s 150-footer reportedly cost $18 million. It seems the actor’s passion for transportation isn’t limited to the seas, as he’s spent untold millions on a collection of about 45 classic cars, and drops a reported $200,000 a month on his Gulfstream GV private jet. (Depp refuses to fly commercial, which should come as no surprise at this point.) But as much as he likes to move around, Depp also appears to enjoy time at home – or should we say homes ? TMG claims he recently spent $75 million to “acquire, improve, and furnish 14 residences” around the world. So yeah, it’s not hard to see why Depp might be dragging his feet on forking over Heard’s divorce cash – as well as looking for someone to blame for his financial situation.

Chelsea Handler on Donald Trump as President: Blame the Kardashians!

Donald Trump is not exactly the most popular figure in Hollywood. But few celebrities have been as openly disdainful and distrusting of the President-Elect as Chelsea Handler. The comedian cried on air after Trump defeated Hillary Clinton on November 8. She then seriously considered moving to Spain, prior to staying put and deciding to use her talk show as a platform to talk about politics and the state of this country. Handler also plans to lead the Women’s March at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21. Just days away from Trump being inaugurated as President, Handler spoke to Variety from her home in New York City, responding to a question about the real estate mogul’s victory with a surprising answer. Does she blame a poorly-run Clinton campaign for the stunning Trump win? Frustrated white workers in states such as Florida and Michigan? Trump’s message on jobs? Nope, nope and nope.  Handler blames Kim Kardashian. And Khloe Kardashian. And Kourtney Kardashian. And probably Kylie Jenner , too. After blaming the media for treating Trump like an “entertainer” instead of a politician, Handler explained her viewpoint thusly: “We’ve turned into a reality show. I blame the Kardashians, personally; the beginning of the end was the Kardashians. The way these people have blown up and don’t go away – it’s surreal.” There’s certainly something to be said for the Kardashians representing a new age of social media and celebrity, one in which one can basically “do” nothing and still be rich and famous. But Trump did a lot during his campaign for the Presidency. He didn’t just pose for racy Instagram photos… thank goodness. “Everyone is for sale. We’re looking at a man that gets mad at Vanity Fair for reviewing his restaurant poorly,” Handler expounded to Vanity Fair, adding: “By the way, have you ever been to that restaurant? It’s the biggest piece of garbage you’ve ever walked into. That place looks like a Southwest airport lounge. It’s the worst.” In all seriousness, though, Handler is concerned about the future of our country. “The idea that so many people were so wrong about the outcome is so screwed up,” Chelsea says . “The fact that Russia is interfering with our election is beyond repair. How do we ever recover from that? What’s to prevent them from doing it for the rest of our lives?” Elsewhere in the interview, Handler refers to Trump as a “sociopath,” says Kanye West “needs to get on his meds” and says of her role as a celebrity: “[It’s] to reach across and figure out the people who are so disenchanted that they voted for him, and try to find some common ground.” Sounds like a tall order. And it may say something about the state of… well… everything that we’re partially turning to Chelsea Handler to help fill it. Keep fighting the good fight, though, Chelsea. We’re on your side.

Lamar Odom: My Overdose Was a Suicide Attempt!

Doesn't your heart just break into a million tiny pieces whenever you see Lamar Odom? Don't you just want to scoop him up — or scoop him up as much as you can scoop a man who is just under seven feet tall — and give him a great big hug? He's messed up in his life, sure, and he's done things that greatly hurt other people. But addiction is a hell of a disease, and these days, he's trying his hardest to better himself. He recently spent 35 days in rehab , not because of a relapse, but to continue working on his issues.  And now he's gone and done another in depth interview for The Doctors, and if you thought he was heartbreaking before, well, just hold onto yourself. In this new teaser for the interview, which airs on Tuesday, Lamar touches on the overdose he had in October 2015 that nearly killed him : specifically on the choices he made leading up to it. “Do I feel ashamed about some of the choices I made?” he asks himself. “They were despicable.” And then, for the kicker, Lamar reveals “I was basically just committing suicide.” We hope that Lamar really is feeling better these days, and he's able to make peace with everything.
