Tamera Mowry Breaks Down Over Interracial Marriage Taunts, Spewing of "Hate"

In snippets released from her interview on Oprah: Where Are They Now – which airs Friday at 8 p.m. on OWN – Tamera Mowry breaks down while recalling the awful insults she’s heard since marrying Fox News Channel correspondent Adam Housley in 2011. “People choose to look past love and spew hate,” the former sitcom star says of reaction to her interracial union. “That’s what hurts me, because I’ve never experienced so much hate ever in my life, ever.” Mowry says she’s been referred to as a “white man’s whore” and that someone actually said to her once: “Back in the day, you cost $300, but now, you’re giving it away for free.” The actress, who was a 29-year old virgin until sleeping with Housely, adds that she simply can’t relate to this mindset because she comes from a biracial household. Tamera Mowry Speaks on Racial Taunts However, although the insults are painful, Mowry is doing all she can to remain strong and positive. “I love my husband so much, I love our family, I love our dynamic. I’m proud to be in the relationship that I am because it’s based on love,” she says. “Pure love.”

North West Holds Kim Kardashian Engagement Ring, Starts Off 2014 in Style

Because it wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve (or any eve) without some shameless exploitation and materialism, Kim Kardashian shared a new photo of daughter North West. Holding her MASSIVE Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring. “It was an amazing year!!!” the 33-year-old captioned the picture of the six-month-old’s hand holding the diamond Kanye West presented her with. “I hope everyone has a safe New Years tonight!” Kim Kardashian said, reminiscing. “Nothing better than spending it with family & friends playing board games ;-)” And making sure everybody pays attention to her 24/7. The reality star and celebrity gossip mainstay did have quite the year … probably the most eventful since the Kim Karadshian sex tape came out in 2007. She was already a household name thanks to Keeping Up With the Kardashians and her many business ventures, but this year, she was half of Kimye. No offense to Damon Thomas, Reggie Bush, Kris Humphries or Ray J (the man who hit it first), but Kanye elevated Kim’s celebrity status to a new level. Even if he became much less cool in the process, it’s true. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Year in Review Kim gave birth to North West this spring, and on her birthday in October, the rapper extravagantly popped the question in front of her family and friends. The family of three are currently spending time in Park City, Utah for the holidays, hitting the slopes and laying relatively low … at least by Kimye standards. Glad she got a totally necessary status update in at least.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Perform "Thrift Shop," "Can’t Hold Us" on New Year’s Eve

While January 1 is traditionally a day to turn the page and look ahead, rather than back, there’s a certain comfort in still having the horn part of “Thrift Shop” stuck in your head. That’s likely the case for more than a few people who watched Macklemore & Ryan Lewis perform their #1 track along with “Can’t Hold Us” on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The guys owned the frigid Times Square stage, with the rapper dressed for the occasion in his bright red sneakers and trademark thrift shop-esque poncho thing. Damn … that’s a cold ass honkey! Macklemore & Ryan Lewis New Year’s Eve Performance The performance punctuated an incredible 12 months for the twosome. An underground, unsigned and unheard of rap group when 2013 started, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are now one of the biggest acts in pop music. Whether you love them, hate them or somewhere in between, there’s no question that the Seattle duo brings it to the people … spreading it across the country. Na na na na, na na na na!

Robin Thicke New Year’s Eve Performance: "Blurred Lines" From L.A. to Times Square

Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” was one of the biggest songs of 2013, if not the biggest, so it’s fitting that he helped close out the year with it Tuesday night. Thicke performed the infectious track in Los Angeles and beamed it over to the Ryan Seacrest-hosted, New York-based New Year’s Rockin’ Eve celebration. There was no nude Emily Ratajkowski or Twerking Miley Cyrus to assist this time, but the catchy melody and sexy vibe were as palpable as ever. Robin Thicke New Year’s Eve Performance From coast to coast, from night to day … he knows you want it. The Canadian crooner sort of literally blurred the lines between himself and the crowd by performing amidst revelers at one point during the live effort. It was a fitting way to bid farewell to the year that was. Along with Katy Perry’s “Roar,” Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ” Thrift Shop ,” the year definitely belonged to “Blurred Lines.” The only question is what he’ll do for an encore.

Willie Robertson: Duck Dynasty Family "Learned a Lot" From Controversy

The Duck Dynasty clan is happy, happy, happy to get back in the hunting blind and the reality show grind on A&E, according to CEO Willie Robertson. The Round Mound of Duck Sound appeared on Fox News’ New Year’s Eve special last night with wife Korie, and touched on the recent controversy: Willie and Korie Robertson Interview “We got a new season coming up in a couple weeks, and we’re really excited about that. We got a couple episodes filmed… and we’re ready to move on.” “A&E and us are fine. We’re looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows. It’s a new year, so we’re ready to break in a new year and start it all over again.” Phil and Miss Kay’s third-eldest of four sons joked about how he had been away from the family’s Duck Commander business and figured no one was working. “I think we all learned a lot and we’re just ready to move on, and the family’s happy, and we’re ready to go. I’ve got to make sure my guys are back there building duck calls.” “I got to get back and crack the whip.” “I’m just glad the family is back together,” Korie Robertson added in the interview before the ball dropped in Times Square. “We’re all happy happy happy.” Duck Dynasty returns with Phil Robertson on January 15, and all appears right with the network and the family now, despite a contentious few weeks. Phil made coarse anti-gay comments and questioned the necessity of the civil rights movement in an interview with GQ that earned him a brief suspension. He likened gays to sinners and homosexuality to bestiality, and said that African-Americans in the Jim Crow era South were more “godly” and “happy.” Willie and Korie didn’t reveal too much under questioning from Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck about his father, other than that he was likely in bed. “I reckon he’s asleep,” Willie said of the patriarch. “This is duck season so he’s getting up in a few hours. New Year’s Eve is just another night for him.” “He’ll be getting up soon and hopefully getting some ducks.” Earlier in the week, Willie admitted on Twitter that Phil can be crude at times but insisted that his heart is good and that his old man is “the real deal.” National media firestorm aside, Hasselbeck and Hemmer also had some fun with Willie and Korie, having them “practice” their midnight kiss for the cameras. They obliged … as Luke Bryan popped in to say hello.

Sarah Palin on Phil Robertson Scandal: Stop with the Intolerance!

Sarah Palin has already expressed her view on the Phil Robertson scandal that has rocked television’s top-rated reality show. Soon after A&E suspended the Duck Dynasty star, Palin Tweeted that Robertson simply expressed his “personal opinion” and his rights to free speech were being impinged on. That’s a commonly misguided point of view, considering the First Amendment has nothing to do with one suffering professional consequences for one’s words or actions. But Palin went On the Record With Greta Susteren this week and admitted she hasn’t actually read Robertson’s fiery comments regarding homosexuality. Sarah Palin Responds to Phil Robertson Scandal “I haven’t read the article. I don’t know exactly how he said it,” Palin told the host. “What he was doing was in response to a question about a lifestyle he disagrees with, and yet he has said over and over again he doesn’t hate the person engaging in the lifestyle he disagrees with, but in response he was quoting the gospel. “So people who are so insulted and offended by what he said evidently are offended by what he was quoting in the gospel.” Robertson has since added that he’s “not a hater” and that he loves “all humanity.” But he’s also refused to apologize for classifying homosexuality as a sin, ranking “sexual immorality” as number-one on his biblical list of no-no’s. Ironically, Britsol Palin – who had sex and a child out of wedlock – agrees, recently saying A&E’s suspension of Robertson “flies in the face of what makes America great” and referring to the LGBT community as “hypocritical” for its backlash against the star. Sarah Palin, meanwhile concluded her interview with Susteren by saying there’s a lesson we all should take from the Robertson flap: “Thicken your skin and quit being so intolerant of people expressing public opinion and private opinion.” SHOULD A&E CANCEL DUCK DYNASTY IN THE WAKE OF ROBERTSON’S COMMENTS?   Yes. There’s no going back from this low point … No! Bring back Phil and quack on! View Poll » SHOULD ROBERTSON APOLOGIZE?   Yes. I respect his free speech and religious views, but he offended people. No. It’s his opinion! Don’t bow to the pressure, Phil! View Poll » DO YOU AGREE WITH SARAH PALIN’S TAKE ON THE SCANDAL?   Yes, this is a clear First Amendment violation! No, the First Amendment has nothing to do with this! I don’t care! View Poll »

Phil Robertson: Sermon Video From 2010 Shows Anti-Gay Views Aren’t News

Additional evidence of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson’s anti-gay views has surfaced in the wake of his controversial GQ interview and suspension by A&E. Video of a sermon given by Phil at Pennsylvania’s Berean Bible Church’s Wild Game Supper in 2010 shows Robertson as fired up as ever on the topic. The Duck Commander founder can be seen dressed in camouflage, literally thumping a Bible, talking about sexual deviants and the lack of morality in America. Phil Robertson Sermon “First they say, ‘There is no God. Get him out of your mind,'” he says in the sermon. “Then they bow down to birds, animals and reptiles, and each other.” “And the first thing you see coming out of them is gross sexual immorality. They will dishonor their bodies with one another, degrade each other.” “Uh, is that going on in the United States of America? Look around. God’s not there… And boy is there some immorality going on around here. Does it get worse?” “Women with women, men with men, they committed indecent acts with one another, and they received in themselves the due penalty for their perversions.” “They’re full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant, God-haters. They are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless.” “They invent ways of doing evil. That’s what you have 235 years, roughly, after your forefathers founded the country. So what are you gonna do Pennsylvania?” “Just run with them? You’re doing to die. Don’t forget that.” The above video definitely fits the portrait painted by GQ , and raises the question of whether A&E is being dishonest for condemning Phil now. Duck Dynasty Cast Issues Statement, Stands By Phil Robertson He’s certainly unfiltered, and has been long before Duck Dynasty was the highest rated show in cable history. Did they expect anything less from him? Then again, as essentially an employee of their network, his crude comments to GQ are surely looked at differently than those from a 2010 sermon. In GQ , Phil said homosexuality is a sin and likened it to bestiality. Still, he insists that as a Christian he does not judge, nor would he incite hatred. “We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell,” he said. “That’s the Almighty’s job. We just love ’em, give ’em the good news about Jesus.” “Whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists,” Robertson went on, he said, “We’ll let God sort ’em out later, you see what I’m saying?” After public outcry over the interview, A&E suspended Robertson indefinitely from the reality series due to his comments about the LGBT community. The controversy has led to many people, from celebrities to regular people, choosing sides and taking to social media to support or lash out at Robertson. In response to the controversy, the Robertson family issued a statement, essentially saying the show won’t go on without patriarch Phil at the helm. Should Phil have been suspended for his comments?   Yes, obviously. He was way over the line. Maybe. I can see why A&E decided to. No way. He’s just stating his opinions, people! View Poll »

Bangers: Meagan Good Shows Some Skin For Complex Magazine & Talks Being More Than Just A “Sexy” Actress

Meagan flaunts her goodies for Complex… Meagan Good Poses For Complex Magazine Hollyweird actress Meagan Good is gearing up for the release of her latest movie “Anchorman 2,” and she recently sat down with Complex magazine to chat it up about her role in the film, breaking out of the child-star image and more. Check out a few excerpts from the interview below. via Complex Magazine Your character [in Anchorman 2] falls in love with Ron Burgundy, an arrogant, hairy, obnoxious guy. Could you fall for a man like that? Definitely. He’s endearing. He’s sweet, he’s ambitious, and he’s this lovable, gentle teddy bear. That sweetness is a turn-on. It shows you that he’s not a bad person, even when he says ridiculous things. Have you dated any real-life Ron Burgundys? No, because I’m that person. [Laughs.] Often times, when I try to make a joke, I don’t know what I’m talking about and people look at me all confused. I was homeschooled, and I remember thinking when I was around 19 that New England was a country. No joke, I asked somebody, “What is that country that you can get to by train from New York?” [Laughs.] I’d seen New England in Valley of the Dolls and didn’t realize it wasn’t a country. Earlier in your career, your sexuality was a big selling point, from 50 Cent’s “21 Questions” video to playing the sexy love interest in various movies. How do you feel about that time in your life? When I got into my 20s, I was fighting for people to see that the little girl from Friday and Eve’s Bayou wasn’t a little girl anymore. That’s why my career took the “sexy” turn. By my mid-20s, it had backfired. I was always playing the sexy roles. It was hard for me to be taken seriously as a good actress. I had to fight my way out of that box that people put me in. Will you be checking for Meagan in ‘Anchorman 2′ when it hits theaters on December 18th? You can check out the full interview HERE   and peep a few more pics of Ms. Good with her bangin’ bawwwdy on blast for Complex on the flip.
