Bill Beckwith, a carpenter and fan favorite fixture on HGTV’s show Curb Appeal, has died in a motorcycle crash at the age of 38, the show confirms. Bill Beckwith Dead “Bill was truly a beloved and respected member of our Curb Appeal family and this loss is devastating to us,” HGTV said on the show’s official Facebook page Tuesday. “The HGTV family is deeply saddened by Bill’s tragic death and we mourn his loss along with his many family and friends who will miss his creativity, adventurous spirit and general love of life.” “We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Bill’s family.” Bill Beckwith was killed Monday night when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood, CNN affiliate KPIX reported. Beckwith co-hosted Curb Appeal with John Gidding, Chip Wade and Kimberly Lacy. Each episode of the program made over the exterior of a house. As a child, Beckwith was drawn to fixing old structures on his parents’ 60-acre vegetable farm in Maine, according to an HGTV bio of the late TV personality. During summer breaks while attending the University of Montana, where he studied English and martial arts, he restored the cabins of a ranch in Wyoming. He then moved to Northern California and started his construction company, BB Design Build. He will be missed by fans, friends and family alike. R.I.P.
Sharkeisha victim Sharmichael Manuel, the unsuspecting girl on the receiving end of the sucker punch heard ’round the Internet, is breaking her silence. Manuel, 17, told KHOU-TV in Houston that she was set up to receive the savage beating on video, and was astounded when her former friend struck. The video of Sharmichael getting laid out by Sharkeisha last month went viral on Instagram on Twitter, where it was removed for terms of use violations. Sharkeisha Victim Speaks Out! It remains online elsewhere, however, and the Cypress Creek High School (Tex.) senior is far from pleased about it, saying the notoreity adds insult to injury. She says she was ambushed November 19 after being led to an apartment complex under false pretenses, believing she was picking up some belongings. Instead she was straight up pummeled by Sharkeisha (below). The video, recorded with a phone, shows 16-year-old Sharkeisha talking to Manuel, then out of nowhere, blindsiding her with a sucker punch to the face. The victim crumpled to the ground, while Sharkeisha kept wailing on Manuel with uppercuts and even a brutal kick to the face before bystanders intervene. “I was just in shock. I was like oh my God. Did she really do this? You’re supposed to be my close friend,” Manuel said. “We were talking in school earlier that day.” “She made it seem like there was nothing wrong.” Sharkeisha Video The fight broke out over a boy, Manuel told the news site , and after Sharkeisha finished the assault, a neighbor drove the battered teenager home. Manuel was left dazed, with a black eye and a busted lip. She hasn’t returned to school since the attack and now has trouble seeing out of her eye. “It is hurting and crushing to me,” Manuel said in her interview. “I felt humiliated, embarrassed and hurt at the same time.” The physical pain was just the beginning for her, too. Sharkeisha has become a viral star, with many praising her attack (or at least enjoying the act of watching it), and for the victim, that’s the real tragedy. Manuel’s mother, Olevia Henderson, told KHOU: “The video just keeps going and going. They’re making jokes, and they’re taunting. They’re glorifying Sharkeisha, but they’re taunting my daughter.” “I was in the grocery store … the baggers were just laughing and talking about it. I said, ‘That’s my daughter in that video,’ and their whole expression changed.” As the video gained traction on social media, users made “Sharkeisha” a national trending topic and memes of the assault were shared incessantly. Rumors even began to circulate early on that beating victim Manuel, who wasn’t yet identified at that point, had committed suicide. Not the case. Sharkeisha: Fight Video Heard ‘Round the World Henderson informed their school’s assistant principal, but was told there was nothing that could be done since it didn’t take place on school grounds. She has, however, that a report was filed with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, though it’s unclear if any action has been taken against the assailant. Sharkeisha: Should she be prosecuted? Yes. Look at what she did! No. She deserves a similar cowardly beating instead. No. It’s between the two of them. Everybody just back off … View Poll »

As tributes and memories continue to pour in for Paul Walker, it’s clear that The Fast and Furious star was beloved by fans, friends, family and colleagues. No one could miss him more, or be any prouder of what he did in life, than his father, Paul Walker III, who broke down this week talking about his son. Paul Walker’s Father Crushed By Loss “I’m just glad that every time I saw him, I told him I loved him,” the elder Walker said, choking back tears. “And he would say the same thing to me.” In addition to his father, Walker is survived by his mother, Cheryl, brothers Cody and Caleb, sister Ashley and his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow. He also leaves behind many grief-stricken costars and friends like Tyrese Gibson , some of whom gathered at the Walker family home this weekend. “You can’t beat friends at a time like this,” Walker Sr. told CBS2 of the outpouring of support he’s received. “His brothers are all taking it pretty hard.” No doubt Meadow, Walker’s daughter with an ex-girlfriend, is crushed. The teen lived with her mother in Hawaii for most of her life but had recently moved in with her famous dad, who wanted to spend more time with her. “[He told me], ‘I want to take a hiatus, she’s just 15, and I don’t have much more time to be with her,'” Walker Sr. recalled. “And then boom, he got another movie.” “He would say, ‘I don’t know what to do.'” Just before Paul Walker died , he co-hosted an event with his non-profit organization, Reach Out Worldwide, to raise money for Philippines typhoon relief. After attending the benefit, he and friend Roger Rodas went for a ride in a Porsche Carrera GT. Both died when the car crashed and burst into flames. Police are investigating whether a street race was to blame , but regardless, the actor will be missed every day, just as he was cherished every day. “His heart was so big,” Walker Sr. said through tears. “I was proud of him every day of his life.” In another interview today, Paul’s dad could barely keep himself together, discussing the ongoing struggling to cope with the actor’s sudden death. Paul addressed the media outside his home, saying he’s never experienced anything like this. “It’s hard … every now and then I’ll really break down.” As for Walker’s 15-year-old daughter, she’s been taking it really hard, but thankfully she’s surrounded by family and friends who love her so much. At the end, Paul’s dad tells people how the 40-year-old actor would want to be remembered, and his response is touching beyond words. Watch: Paul Walker’s Dad Speaks on Tragedy

The Drake Stans and Barbz are probably dragging this lil heffa as we speak… Nicki Minaj And Drake Are Deemed “Irrelevant” By “Royals” Singer Lorde Via SingersRoom Nicki Minaj and Drake may have amassed millions of fans since their Cash Money Records debuts, but their content is not hitting home for everyone. According to newcomer and pop sensation Lorde, she feels like the label-mate’s music, along with a few other artists, doesn’t relate to the people around her. “Around the middle of last year I started listening to a lot of rap, like Nicki Minaj and Drake, as well as pop singers like Lana Del Rey,” Lorde told Interview Magazine. “They all sing about such opulence, stuff that just didn’t relate to me—or anyone that I knew. I began thinking, ‘How are we listening to this? It’s completely irrelevant.’” Known for her international hit, “Royals,” the 16-year-old New Zealand star said she pulled from the experiences of people around her to create her body of work. She adds: “I basically just wrote what we were all thinking. I tend to start with a full set of lyrics, and then my producer, Joel Little, and I work on the music collaboratively.” Yeah, ok, she got one little song that sounds aight, but who does this beyotch think she is to speak out against black artists and black music culture??? Claire Danes, who if you are like me, you wrote off back in the 90s when she was the annoying depressive 90s angst who couldn’t get fucked by Jared Leto on My So Called Life…I mean I assume she’s done other things, but I haven’t paid attention to her, because all I can think about is the girls I used to know back then, who I didn’t want to even bang then, because of their plaid, apathetic disposition…it was a horrible time…and this bitch is the figure head…but now at 40 she’s topless in interview…and at least one of you is stoked about that…
Meet a baller who isn’t all about bling. Redskins Running Back Alfred Morris Drives A 1991 Mazda That He Bought For $2 Via WUSA9 It’s just after 10 a.m. on Tuesday when Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris strolls up to the Mazda dealership in a 2014 rental. The car company loaned Morris the vehicle while they graciously refurbished his 1991 626 model. Morris is greeted by close to 50 Mazda employees. Brunch is served on three tables. Nearly a dozen cameras are rolling on the event. ESPN flew in reporter Josina Anderson for a sit down. The NFL Network was on hand. Several auto magazine outlets flocked towards Morris. After a brief introduction, the folks at Mazda pulled off the black sheet covering Morris’ car, unveiling all new features. The engine, windows and dashboard were replaced. ‘Bentley’ as Morris affectionately calls his car — which he bought for $2 from his pastor — also now has GPS navigation, Bluetooth connection and a brand new sound system. “I got my baby back!” roared Morris to applause and laughter from the crowd. Alfred is NOT your typical NFL player, much less typical Redskins running back… Morris, 24, is drastically different than Riggins and Portis. He totes a simple wooden cross necklace, a boyish southern drawl and a contagious laugh heard whistling through the speakers in Chantilly. Morris refuses to buy Nike Jordan brand shoes, because “everyone wears those.” Unlike his famous predecessors, Morris has won over the people with his warm persona and willingness to shake everybody’s hand. His rags to riches success as a sixth round pick is the cherry on-top. The second-year player has to pinch himself sometimes. “Who would have ever thought all this could happen? I just be myself each and every day. What you see is what you get,” Morris said, analyzing his growing status. “It’s not like a hoax or a phony. This is me. This is who I am. I’m down to earth. I’m fun. I’m loose. If you want to have some fun, come hang,” he joked. In a sense, Morris’ 1991 Mazda really represents who he is: something that wasn’t supposed to last this long. Entering training camp in 2012, the thought was Morris’ only chance to make the roster would be switching his position to fullback. Roy Helu, Evan Royster and back then, Tim Hightower were a typical yet formidable Mike Shanahan trio of overachieving backs. And like his chances of making the 53-man roster, teammates clowned on his car when they first saw it. “‘That’s you in that piece of crap?’” Morris recalled. Ten years from now Morris still plans on driving ‘Bentley’ around town. “It might not be my primary car, but it will still get driven a lot. That wasn’t a joke either,” laughed Morris. If you can’t respect that your whole perspective is wack. Flip it over to see more pics of Alfred and his baby, “Bentley”. Image via WUSA9 Continue reading →
