Weddings: Denise Vasi Dishes Details About Her Big Day And Her Newlywed Hubby Anthony Mandler

Congratulations! Denise Vasi tied the knot with her video director boo Anthony Mandler just last weekend, but our homies at Lossip got an exclusive with Vasi even before it all went down. Peep excerpts from their interview below: How do you envision your special day? I envision a lot of crying, honestly. I need to talk to my makeup artist and figure out how we can handle that [Laughs]. I am such a crier. We are getting married on a villa at a winery so it’s going to be a really romantic space. We are expecting a day full of love and peace. I have been planning for a little over a year, so I have picked every chair, cup, fork and napkin. We could have made it a big ceremony, but we decided to keep it to about 150 people. It is going to be very intimate with just our close family and friends. At the end of the day, we decided this wasn’t a party, but it was about us taking vows. I’m the first girl in my family to put on a dress, so this just means a lot to us. I want the day to be a great experience for my aunts, cousins, friends – everybody. How did you two meet? We met through work, but I can honestly say we became friends first. I was filming a music video for Lil’ Wayne, “How To Love,” and that’s how we met. I had two incredible days working with him. They didn’t end up using the video, but I’m so grateful for that project because I got to meet the love of my life. I never in a million years expected that I was going to meet up husband by taking that project, but I did. So we are thankful! What do you love most about Anthony? I’m a Alpha female and he respects that. He lets me play that role and be independent, but at the same time he knows when to put me in my place so to speak. He is my best friend. Awwwwww. How sweet. We wish them many years of happiness together. Instagram Continue reading

Maria Kang on "Fit Mom" Photo: I Aim to Inspire!

“Fit Mom” Maria Kang is speaking out in defense of her “What’s Your Excuse” photo that caused such a stir online, claiming she was just trying to inspire. The 32-year-old mother of three revealed that she never intended to bully or shame others with her fitness photo shoot, but rather share a love of exercise. Yet after posting this photo to her Facebook page, Maria became the target of online critics who called her a “bully” who was calling out other women: Fit Mom Responds to Critics Maria Kang was shocked when her Facebook page blew up with commenters calling her “selfish,” a “fat shamer” and worse after the ad went viral. “I did not know I was going to ruffle this many feathers,” Maria said. “I knew that not everyone was going to like the photo but I wanted to inspire others.” “Obviously these three little boys are symbols of time. I’m able to keep them a priority. Of course it’s not always my first priority but it’s one of my priorities.” “Whether I work out at 5 a.m. or 5 p.m. or 10 p.m.,” the fitness enthusiast says, “it’s always some part of my daily goal to take part of my health.” Thousands of women did speak out to support Maria (and praise her physique), while taking inspiration from Kang, despite the vocal opposition. After issuing a non-apology, her second explanation is a bit less defensive, albeit just as adamant that she meant no harm and was being positive. Maria explained that continues to share her photo and story online because she wants to help other moms who struggle to find the time or energy. She also says she’s been doing this long before the infamous photo. “I have always been open, I’ve had a blog since 2007,” she said. “I’m vulnerable and very transparent I don’t feel like I want to hide anything, to me it’s important to be real with yourself, and be real with others.” That’s “because maybe,” she said, “you are inspiring others.” Fit Mom: Maria Kang Interview What do you think of the photo? Is she shaming anyone?   Yes, and she knows it. Yes, even if it wasn’t her intent. No. People need to chill out and stop hating!! View Poll »

Ain’t Isht Daddies: NY Father Caught Admitting He Left His Son To Die After Truck Fell On Him To Claim $700,000 Life Insurance!

We’ve seen a lot of “ain’t isht” people in our day, but this guy… Father Left Son To Die After Truck Accident In Order To Claim $700,000 Life Insurance Via ABCNews A central New York man, who is awaiting trial for the death of his son, is heard saying on never-before-heard tapes obtained by ABC News that he accidentally caused a truck to fall on his son, crushing him, and then left him to die. Karl Karlsen, 52, is in a jail cell in Waterloo, N.Y., facing charges of second-degree murder and insurance fraud in the death of his son. Karlsen has pleaded not guilty. In 2008, Karlsen’s 23-year-old son Levi Karlsen was crushed to death when the truck he was working on slipped off its jack and landed on top of him. While wearing a wire in a crowded restaurant last year, Cindy Karlsen, Karl’s second and now estranged wife, asked her husband to tell the truth about his son’s death. On the tapes, Karlsen said he had removed his truck’s front tires and raised it on a single jack before Levi volunteered to do the repair. The tapes, which had been played in court, had never been played publicly until now. “I didn’t push the truck, I said,” Karlsen continued after Cindy pressed him for answers about Levi’s death. “No, I said I had nothing to do — but I said I took advantage of the situation once it happened.” WTF?!?! With what police saw as incriminating statements captured on Cindy’s audio recordings, they brought Karlsen in for questioning. During a nearly 10-hour interview, investigators said Karlsen denied killing his son 75 times, and that he’s given several explanations for his son’s death, including that he accidentally knocked the pickup truck off the jack and onto his son. First, Karlsen is heard saying on police interrogation tapes obtained by ABC News that he had found his son’s body earlier but didn’t call police. Next stop, HELL! At some point the pressure got to be too much and this piece of isht admitted the truth. “I opened the truck door because I had to get inside to move the linkage for the f—ing truck, and when I did, it tipped, and it just, whoosh, f—ing fell over,” Karlsen said in the interrogation tapes. But while he did admit he caused the truck to fall on his son during the police interrogation, investigators said Karlsen maintains it was an accident. “He did admit that he caused the truck to fall on his son. He did admit that he left his son on the floor dying, but he never admitted that it was a planned, deliberate act,” said Seneca County Lt. Investigator John Cleere. Levi’s death was initially ruled an accident in 2008. Police said Karlsen collected a $700,000 life insurance payout after the incident and that Levi had signed a handwritten will before his death, leaving everything to his father. But at the time, authorities said they didn’t know about the life insurance policy or the will. We hope Mr. Karlsen’s son haunts his prison cell til the day he dies. Image via Shutterstock

Momager Kris Jenner Says Kanye West Is A Great Dad And Wonderful Person, “I Love Him So Much”

Kris is loving her some Yeezus. Kris Jenner Says She Loves Kanye West All that love couldn’t save her failing talk show after pimping KimYe and Nori though. According to US Magazine Kris Jenner only has good things to say about Kanye West! The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star told Ross Matthews during an appearance on Hello Ross that she absolutely adores her “roommate,” and sees quite the different side of Kim Kardashian’s beau compared to his recent Twitter rant against Jimmy Kimmel. “When someone lives down the hall, I see somebody who’s — I love him so much,” the matriarch of the family gushed to the E! host. “He’s such an amazing boyfriend to Kim and a great dad and a wonderful person.” Indeed, Jenner thought it was quite great of the 36-year-old rapper to come on to her FOX daytime talk show. “I got to sit down with him for an entire hour, and I think people saw this other side to him.” She continued: “He’s creative and he’s an amazing, amazing human being, he really is. And he doesn’t always do interviews and get the chance to really express himself like that, so I was really glad that I got a chance to sit down and talk with him.” During the interview, the mom manager also revealed that she was the one who looked after Kanye and Kim’s little girl North while they traveled to attend Paris Fashion Week. The first-time parents just returned home earlier this week, with the “Blood on the Leaves” singer recently spotted sporting a “Nori” necklace around his neck in Los Angeles. Why doesn’t the public see this side of Kanye? Continue reading

Chit Chatter: Chris Brown Talks Never Being Violent With Other Girlfriends, Other Artists Using Him & The Courts Going Easier On White Celebrities

Chris Brown gets unusually personal while on the promo trail for his upcoming album “X”… Chris Brown Says He Was Never Violent With Girlfriends Other Than Rihanna In a recent and lengthy but very revealing interview with The Guardian , Chris Brown spoke candidly about his album, not having a violent history in his past relationships, anger management classes being sexist, Drake and Frank Ocean using him to help their music, his infamous neck tattoo, and more. The skeptical and almost insulting Guardian interviewer  described a teenageBreezy as  the former “crown prince of American R&B, with a pop princess girlfriend, Rihanna, on his arm,” and emphasizes how ”the news that he’d attacked her and been arrested sent the country into a degree of shock.” Check out excerpts from the interview below. On the judge adding 1,000 additional community service hours instead of jail time as a “compromise” after he was accused of cheating on his time reported: “But that’s not a compromise! Community service, that sh*t is a b**ch. I’ll be honest – and you can quote me on that – that is a m*therf**ker there. For me, I think it’s more of a power trip for the DA. I can speak freely now, because I don’t really care what they say about it, but as far as, like, the 1,000 extra hours they gave me, that’s totally fricking bananas.” On whether or not he thought the court ruling seemed “vindictive:” “Oh, absolutely. They want me to be the example. Young black kids don’t have the fairer chances. You can see Lindsay Lohan in and out of court every day, you see Charlie Sheen, whoever else, do what they want to do. There hasn’t been any incident that I started since I got on probation, even with the Frank Ocean fight, the Drake situation, all those were defence modes. It’s just that people know if they push a button, it’ll make more news than their music. Attaching themselves to me, good or bad, will benefit them.” On his anger management class (after saying it did help him to learn to keep his temper): “I think the actual class I went to was a little bit sexist.  It was beneficial because it made me cater more to a woman’s thoughts and a woman’s needs, and how to handle situations. But the class itself, no disrespect to the class, but the class itself only tells you ‘you’re wrong, you’re wrong, you’re wrong.’” Do you agree that Frank and Drizzy purposely started beef with Breezy to help their careers? Chris also speaks on not having a violent history in his past relationships and goes an f-bomb laced mini rant after giving an annoyed but revealing answer during the interview when asked about his neck tattoo that was rumored to be of Rihanna’s battered face. Hit the flip to hear what else he had to say:

In White Folks News: Katy Perry Admits She Had Suicidal Thoughts During Divorce From Ex Boo Thang Russell Brand

Katy , suicide over Russell? Poor thang. Katy Perry Considered Suicide During Divorce From Russell Brand It was shady of Russell to ask for a divorce via text message. Fortunately, she bounced back with John Mayer…maybe Katy can give her buddy Rih Rih dating advice. According to US Magazine Katy Perry’s life is completely different compared to just two years ago. While promoting her upcoming third studio album Prism, the 28-year-old pop star gave a sneak peek into her life with boyfriend John Mayer — and why he’s such a smarty pants, shedding some light on just how her life has changed since her divorce from comedian Russell Brand. “He literally is a genius, as is evident from his songwriting,” the “Roar” singer told Billboard in its latest issue about Mayer. “I always tell him, ‘Darling, you know I’m going to have to give your mind to science after you’ve passed, because we’re going to have to understand how all these sparks work.’” The “Firework” star is focused on her new album — set to hit stores Oct. 22 — and is on a different path from just two years ago. In the Billboard interview, Perry also dishes on when veteran journalist Barbara Walters threw “shade” at her during Walters’ Most Fascinating People of 2011 special. At the time, Perry knew her 14-month marriage to husband Brand was close to being over, and now admits she wish she never sat down for the chat. “I shouldn’t have done the interview: I was playing Madison Square Garden that same night, and I knew that the end of my marriage was coming,” she recalled. “I’d prepped everyone that I was running late, but Barbara showed up at the original time anyway. When I got there, I apologized immediately, but then she said to me, ‘You know, I’ve only ever waited for one other person this long, and you know who that person was? Judy Garland. You know how she turned out, right?’” Perry added: “I was like, ‘Oh, snap! Yes, bitch!’ I think it’s the coolest thing that Barbara Walters shaded me. I just couldn’t tell her as we were sitting down for a mega-interview, ‘Hey, my marriage is falling apart. Give me a break.’” Brand, 38, would later file for divorce on Dec. 30, 2011, just two weeks after the special aired. The difficult situation Perry experienced at the time would soon lead to fighting off suicidal thoughts, which she then wrote about in her upcoming “By the Grace of God” track. “That song is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point. I asked myself, ‘Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?’” she said. “All the songs are real-life moments. I can only write autobiographically. I put all the evidence in the music. I tell my fans if they want to know the real truth about stuff, just listen to the songs.” Somewhere Russell is weeping. Continue reading
