My name is Jill and I am 16 years old. My Bieber Experience…

My name is Jill and I am 16 years old. My Bieber Experience started on September 25th, 2009 when I found out Justin was going to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City.  I missed school so I could go to the concert early. When I woke up I was so excited and couldn’t believe that I was going to see Justin in concert. My mom and I got ready and took the train down to the city around 8. We got off the train and had to walk around 8 blocks to get to Time Square. While we were walking my mom asked me if I had the tickets, I checked my bag and there were no tickets! I started to cry because now I wouldn’t be able to go to the concert. My mom told me that I needed to calm down and she will figure something out. She called my house to see if my aunt could drive to the city and drop off the tickets because there wasn’t enough time for us to go back to my house on the train and get the tickets. We stopped at a FedEx and went on there computers. My mom went through her emails looking for the conformation number for the tickets and found it! She called the ticket company and they emailed us new tickets, I WAS SO HAPPY! When we got to the Hard Rock there were only 6 girls sitting at the door. The concert was first come, first serve so since there were only 6 girls I WOULD BE FRONT ROW! I sat down and and talked to the girls for hours. A little later, more people started to form a line behind us. Had more people came, more cops started to come to control the crowd. Around 5ish they started to let people in. I thought that since we were the first people we would be let in first, but that was not the case. They brought all the people from the other side of the street and let them go in-front of us. Thank God one of the mothers we were with knew someone. We then got escorted inside and next thing I know IM TOUCHING THE STAGE! Justin came out and everyone was going wild. Every time he came to the side of the stage, he would touch my hand and smile. I was wearing a Yankee hat that said Bieber on the side on my head and when he came over he took it and put it on his head. It didn’t fit him so he put it on the DJ stand. Thats all I was thinking about the rest of the night was him taking my hat and wearing it onstage. He finished performing and Fabulous came out to sing. My mom called me over and told me to try and get back stage. So I went to the door that lead to the back of the stage and there was a big security guard standing in-front of it. When he left to go check on something another body guard came to the door. I asked him if he could get my hat that Justin took. He told me that he would go check and come back. He comes back to the door and tells me to come inside. I WAS FREAKING OUT BECAUSE JUSTIN WAS IN THE OTHER ROOM. The man comes back and tells me that I CAN GO INSIDE AND MEET JUSTIN!! I was freaking out.. I didn’t know what to do! I get in the room and his mom and dancers were standing there. I started to talk to them about performing and what its like to hang out with Justin. They were all so nice. Then all of a sudden JUSTIN WALKS IN THE DOOR… He introduced himself to me and my friend Brianna. We talked for a good 45 minutes with him and got pictures. He saw that the hat he wore on stage was on my head. He was like OMG thats yours!! Thats such a cool hat!! I asked him to sign it and it said “Jill Read this article: My name is Jill and I am 16 years old. My Bieber Experience…

I met Justin Bieber on the TODAY show on November 4, 2012 but I…

I met Justin Bieber on the TODAY show on November 4, 2012 but I just finally decided to make a Bieber expierence out of it! I got there at 4 am in and I’d say I was about the 100th person in line. I was a little worried because when I tried to meet Justin at The View, I was the first person in line and I didn’t even get to meet him at all. We waited in line for hours, but then they finally let us through into the barricaded area. I sprinted to a part of the barricades where the cameras were facing because I figured that’s where Justin’s interview would be and I would be able to see and hear the whole thing. Once he came out, everything happened so fast. Despite all the commotion, I thought of something a Belieber that I met in NYC once said to me, “You’ll meet Justin one day, don’t worry. And he looks even better in person”. It was funny because just the night before I was sitting in my bedroom crying because I had lost all hope of meeting Justin until I remembered what that Belieber said to. I knew she said I would meet him one day, but what did she know? I have a one in 20 million chance of meeting him, yet her words gave me enough hope to bother convincing my mom to let me skip the first half of school and bring me into NYC which is an hour away. I kept telling myself “Never Say Never, Mak”. Then he came even closer and my legs were shaking uncontrollably . The girl in front of me screamed “I love you. Do you love me back?” and he replied “I love you more”. The rest was a blur. I didn’t even remember to get my digital camera ready or to make sure my mom was recording on the video camera or think about what I was going to say or to even breathe. Next thing I knew he was in front of me, Sharpie in hand, holding my poster. He wrote his famous initials “JB” on my poster and I didn’t even have to ask. He was already moving on, so without thinking, I screamed, “Justin! I talked to you on Tumblr!” He stopped, looked back at me and said, “What?” I screamed, “Tumblr!” and he smiled that gorgeous smile and said, “Nice”. As fast as he came, he left. I was just another fan in the crowd, but it didn’t matter to me. My life was complete. My love spoke two words to me: “what” and “nice”. I will never forget it. But Justin kept on walking down the barricades, signing posters and saying Hi to all his Beliebers and my time was over. I turned to my mom, biggest smile on my face, and I asked “Did you get it?” She had the video camera by the way. She looked away and mumbled that she forgot to hit record. I burst into tears. I couldn’t believe. It all happened too fast for me to remember so I was relying on that video. I wanted to re-watch it over and over again, but now I couldn’t.  Then Justin did the interview and I was behind him the entire time. Literally. My head was right between Matt Lauer’s and Justin’s the entire interview. I was watching myself on the monitor and waving like crazy. Later, when we were driving home, my dad called and said that not only was I on the TODAY Show during the interview, but the part when I met Justin was also on TV! Maybe my mom didn’t record the video, but the TODAY Show crew was. P.S. At the time, I thought I had his Tumblr and that is why I said that to him, but now I’m not so sure if the Tumblr was a fake or not, so I sort of regret saying that to Justin. I wish I asked to take a picture with him instead. Link to the TODAY Show video : I talk to him at 1:33 and you can see me in the background of the interview around 3:13.  See more here: I met Justin Bieber on the TODAY show on November 4, 2012 but I…

Rihanna Ends Interview After Love-Life Questions

Pop star halts Australian interview when she’s asked about her personal life. By Kara Warner Rihanna Photo: Jon Furniss/ WireImage If there’s one thing to admire about Rihanna , it’s the way she speaks her mind on sensitive issues. But during a recent interview with a reporter from the Australian talk show “Sunrise,” RiRi apparently didn’t appreciate the line of questioning and abruptly ended their chat. Because Rihanna was in Australia to promote her upcoming movie “Battleship,” the conversation began with a discussion about her future in films and whether she’ll put her singing career on the back burner in favor of film. “I don’t see why I can’t do both,” she said. “If I love both, then I’ll do great at both. I love music, and after my first experience with movies, I can’t wait to do more.” One of those potential future films is tackling the coveted role of the late great Whitney Houston in an upcoming biopic , which Rihanna said would be a very emotional experience. “She’s been someone that I’ve looked up to for so long,” she said. “Her music is something that I’ve been very close to, so I guess it would be fulfilling as well as … a lot of pressure.” At this point in the interview the reporter brought up Rihanna’s public persona and the pressures and frustrations associated with having all your day-to-day activities reported in the news — specifically when tabloids and gossip websites speculate about Rihanna’s love life and link her to other celebs, like Ashton Kutcher . “[It’s] very frustrating,” Rihanna said, looking annoyed. “Almost as frustrating as being asked about it.” “Yeah, you don’t like going there?” the reporter asked in a diplomatic way. “I mean, what’s the point?” Rihanna responded. “Well people are interested in you, you’re a big star,” the reporter added. “They are. And they’re interested in a lot of things — a lot of things that don’t matter,” said a visibly irritated Rihanna. “Or shouldn’t.” The reporter added in voice-over at the end of the piece that the interview abruptly ended after Rihanna’s last comment. This isn’t the first time the topic of Rihanna’s love life has halted an interview. Last month in London, Rihanna chastised a reporter at a press conference for bringing up the Ashton rumors . “Wow, how disappointing was that question?” she asked in response. “I’m happy and I’m single, if that’s what you’re really asking.” What do you think about Rihanna’s reaction to the personal line of questioning? Rihanna Pulls Plug on Interview After Reporter Asks Personal Questions

The lesson we’ve learned in the last few weeks is that one shouldn’t even attempt to ask Rihanna a question about her personal life if one wishes the interview to continue. Just ask Australian Sunrise reporter Natalie Barr. “How frustrating is it when you’re linked to another Hollywood star, even if you’ve barely met them?” Barr asked her, referring to Ashton Kutcher . To which the 24-year-old Battleship star abruptly said: “Very frustrating. Almost as frustrating as being asked about it. I mean, what’s the point?” The interview ended immediately afterward. Watch: Rihanna Sunrise Interview With Natalie Barr We sense a pattern here. Last month, she ripped into a reporter for a ballsy, even more out-of-nowhere question regarding herself and Kutcher. “Wow, how disappointing was that question,” she said, before admitting she is single, pointedly, and asking the press to move on. Immediately. Rihanna also snapped at a reporter at a Battleship junket this week when asked what struggles she and Brooklyn Decker have faced in real life. “Girl, you said the key word: personal. Next!” Rihanna quipped. Rihanna’s personal life has been all over the tabloids in recent months, due in part to her musical collaboration with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown . She says she doesn’t care what people think, but obviously, these questions hit a nerve. Should reporters leave her be? Or should she lighten up?

Ashley Judd Defends Appearance, Rails Against Society’s "Hatred of Women"

Combating critics of her appearance once again, Ashley Judd went off on the sexualization, objectification and hatred of women she perceives in society. Stories about Judd’s puffy face , caused by the medication she had been taking for a sinus infection, gave way to plastic surgery rumors in recent weeks. Rumors that did not sit well with the Missing star, who is assailing critics left and right over this “sad commentary” on our obsession with appearance. “I think it’s hatred of women that invites the criticism,” the actress told NBC. Ashley Judd Interview “I think it’s the objectification of girls and this hypersexualization of our society. It doesn’t have anything to do with me, really, and how I look.” Judd says the reaction to her appearance was as swift as it was negative. “There was no presumption of goodwill,” she says, and that’s what pushed her over the edge. “The conversation went straight to, ‘Oh my gosh.'” Particularly galling, besides the “nasty, vitriolic and gloating tone,” she added, was the speculation that the 43-year-old had plastic surgery. “I started to catch the double bind where, you know, my face looks puffy, ‘She’s had work done,’ you know?” Judd says, noting the irony. “Then, look at the same image in a different interpretation by a separate set of people is, ‘Oh, come on, she doesn’t even have any wrinkles at all, she’s clearly had work.'” “So, I look bad, I’ve had work. I look too good, I’ve had work.” Judd said she decided to address this incident “because the conversation was pointedly nasty, gendered, and misogynistic and embodies what all girls and women in modern culture, to a greater or lesser degree, endure every day.” This happens “in ways both outrageous and subtle,” she says. Do you agree?

An Open Letter To Axl Rose And Guns N’ Roses Fans Everywhere

Our columnist comes out in support of the last remaining rock star after Axl’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame kiss-off. By James Montgomery Axl Rose Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic To: W. Axl Rose, Guns N’ Roses Fans and Whom It May Concern, Greetings from New York City, which is approximately 490 miles from Cleveland, site of this weekend’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and roughly 50 bazillion miles from whatever Bedouin caravan Mr. Rose is currently encamped with — though, to be honest, it feels much farther removed from both. Especially given the reaction most GN’R fans have had to Rose’s open letter to the Hall of Fame , which he published Wednesday and which has subsequently turned him into the most hated man on the Internet. Here’s the thing (and, really, the reason I’m writing this letter): Despite the thousands of comments his letter has generated — which largely run the gamut from “YOU SUCK” to “Axl Rose is a freaking whiny-ass bitch” — I’m happy to be in the minority of people who seemingly have no problem with it whatsoever. In fact, I think it’s pretty awesome. Another boy-band explosion? James Montgomery takes a closer look at One Direction and the Wanted and what their popularity means for music. Because I support Axl Rose. And yes, I am aware that, in the past , I have called him “the creepy old guy with the Raiders jersey who lives on top of the hill” and compared him to Lil Wayne . And sure, I realize his recent, uh, output might not be on par with Guns’ previous efforts (anyone can have a bad 20 years). But after reading his letter, none of those things matter. Or, if anything, they actually made it better for me. Because Axl Rose is a rock star. Maybe the last one standing. He is an anachronism and an enigma. There will never be another like him, and really, his missive to the Rock Hall is just further proof of all those points. To wit: There are a lot of words in Rose’s letter (more than 1,000 of them), none of which are “apology.” This is because Axl never apologizes. Because he doesn’t have to, and he doesn’t care if that offends you. He also never allows himself to be backed into a corner — and everything from his unrelenting blood feud with Slash to the 15-year wait for Chinese Democracy is basically proof of this — and he intimates at several points in his letter that everyone from the HOF committee to his former bandmates was basically attempting to do just that. So rather than be intimidated, Rose just decided to walk away from the whole thing. As he writes, “No one’s taking the ball and going home. … From my perspective … the ball’s never been in our court.” It’s easy to call Rose a jerk for doing this, but, really, he is a jerk. It’s what makes him who he is and why he’s still able to sell out arenas around the world. We’ve come to expect nothing less, and yet we’re willing to vilify him for acting the way he always has. Katy Perry, beneath the crown: James Montgomery takes us inside his interview with the pop princess to see what she’s really like off-camera. In some bizarre way, by skipping the induction (and asking his name not be mentioned in absentia), Rose displays a supreme level of actual integrity. Unlike, say, Ozzy Osbourne, who previously asked that his band Black Sabbath no longer be considered for the Hall only to show up at the 2006 induction and call it an “achievement,” Axl won’t come crawling back. And unlike fellow 2006 inductees Blondie, he spared anyone the ugly onstage feud that surely would’ve erupted by simply saying, “No thanks.” He does what he wants and only what he wants. And the same goes for that much-discussed GN’R reunion, which he shuts down in the letter because, really, it’s “time to move on.” And that last quote should be taken to heart by all the Guns fans out there raging against Rose today. Because, really, it is time to move on. Move on from your misguided beliefs that Rose is ever going to change or suddenly have a moment of clarity. It’s been, like, 20 years now, and he’s never wavered from his original point: No reunion, not ever. Guns N’ Roses are still a band and they still tour, and if you don’t like it, then don’t come out to the shows. Even though you probably still will. So, sure, be angry with Axl today. Make claims of never listening to his music again (which would suppose he’s ever going to make music again) and accuse him of putting himself before his fans. But don’t take him to task for being the same person he’s been for 25 years now, because, really, you wouldn’t want him to change. Not for a reunion tour, not for an induction ceremony, not for anything. He will continue to blaze his own path whether you follow him or not. And I applaud him for doing so. He is Axl Rose, after all. He is rock and roll in an era where that phrase has increasingly less clout. We want him on that wall. We need him on that wall. It’s about the only way we can sleep at night, knowing somewhere, Axl is watching over us all. And writing open letters to let us know he still cares. Boy-Band Romance Rumors: Joe Jonas Dating A Model?

As Jonas is photographed with Brazilian model Jessica Pott, rumors swirl about One Direction’s Harry Styles and the Wanted’s Max George. By Jocelyn Vena Jessica Pott and Joe Jonas in New York on Tuesday Photo: Pacific Coast News For boy banders, it seems that spring has sprung and love is in the air. With so many rumors floating around, it seems like now is the time to do a Boy-Band Romance Report Card. So, MTV News has compiled a roundup of who’s dating whom, who’s nursing a broken heart and who is playing the field. Now, we’ll quit playing games with your heart and dive right into all the juicy details: Whom is Harry Styles Dating, Anyway? These days, One Direction is pretty busy traveling the globe, touring and promoting their album Up All Night , so any rumors of their romantic escapades seem to be as fleeting as their stops in various ports of call. In addition to chatter that Taylor Swift is crushing on him , American singer Lily Halpern opened up about the rumors she’s seeing Harry. She confirmed seeing him when he was in NYC for the band’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” but did she confirm whether they are a couple? “I met Harry through Big Time Rush. … We’ve been friends ever since [we met in March],” she told E! News . “He’s adorable. He’s a great, great guy. Who doesn’t have a crush on Harry Styles? He’s great. He’s a good friend. He’s a very good friend. He’s in Australia now. The time difference definitely makes it really hard … so we haven’t been able to talk on the phone or anything, but I’ve definitely heard from him.” “It’s hard. … I saw him this [past] weekend,” the NYC-based singer said of watching “Flubber” with him during some off-time. “I haven’t been able to see him that much. It would be very hard to have a relationship with someone [who travels a lot]. If he was here all of the time, things would probably be different, but we’re friends for now.” One Direction will be back in the States next month for their U.S. tour . Joe Jonas Has a New Lady?!? Well, it seems Joe Jonas has a new lass in his life. The Jonas brother was photographed strutting around Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood with Brazilian model Jessica Pott. He has reportedly been seeing the catwalker since December, but the twosome has been pretty stealthy about avoiding being photographed together. According to the Daily Mail , the two were first spotted together hanging in the Meatpacking District months ago, and her rep would only confirm, “They do know each other.” Jonas has been in and out of New York working his brothers, the currently single “How to Succeed” star Nick and married big bro Kevin, on their next album , a follow-up to 2009’s Lines, Vines and Trying Times . Is Max George Engaged? The Wanted ‘s resident bad boy recently confirmed that he’s no longer betrothed to Brit actress Michelle Keegan, emphatically telling Ryan Seacrest, “No, no, no, not anymore” and adding that he is “absolutely” enjoying the benefits of his heartthrob status. However, her rep tried to clarify their relationship status to the Mirror, noting they are together, despite what Max implied in his interview. “Michelle and Max are still very much together as a couple, but they are both traditionalists and realized that there is no point in being engaged until they are in a position to plan a wedding,” the statement reads. Perhaps they put off a wedding because Max has been very busy chasing success. The Wanted just shot a music video for their single “Chasing the Sun,” and they will release their debut U.S. album on April 24. Related Artists One Direction Jonas Brothers
