Not So Fast: Are Cops Covering Up FSU Quarterback Jameis Winston Sexual Assault Allegations?

First the victim couldn’t identify him and now this. Cops Possibly Covering Up Jameis Winston Sexual Assault Allegations This is smelling a little fishy. How can an allegation that can ruin a man’s career get this far without the witness being able to identify him? We hope this police cover up isn’t true. According to TMZ: There’s evidence Tallahassee cops tried to sweep the sexual assault investigation targeting Florida State University QB Jameis Winston under the rug to protect the team and its star player … and ONLY took aggressive steps after TMZ Sports started asking questions. Sources in the State Attorney’s Office tell us they never even knew about the investigation until Tuesday … JUST ONE DAY AFTER TMZ Sports began making calls to cops about the alleged assault. Our sources in the State Attorney’s Office say … it was highly unusual cops wouldn’t have filled them in about the case until this week. The sources say cops would have typically notified them when the investigation was completed, and Winston’s lawyer reportedly says cops told him it was completed in February. Now get this … TMZ Sports started calling police about the case on Monday. We were told someone would get back to us later that day, but there was radio silence for 2 days … we made repeated calls Tuesday and Wednesday and no one got back to us until late Wednesday afternoon. Sources in the State Attorney’s Office tell us … the timing — getting notified about the case months after it supposedly was closed and just a day after TMZ started calling — is suspicious. The State Attorney has now re-activated the case and sent it back to cops for further investigation. And there’s a twist — guess what would happen if Winston was even CHARGED with felony sexual assault — under FSU’s rules … he would be AUTOMATICALLY BENCHED … killing the team’s national championship hopes and his Heisman Trophy chances. People start acting shading when championships are on the line.

What do these teachers see in these underage boys? Teacher Arrested For Having Sex With Student Teachers are supposed to mold our youth not fawk them. Disgusting. According to Reading Eagle reports: A Tulpehocken High School physical education teacher was arrested Wednesday and charged with having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student. Nicole Kurowski, who was also a cheerleading coach, surrendered to authorities and was arraigned on an institutional sexual assault charge before District Judge Thomas M. Gauby Sr. She was released on $25,000 bail. State police said the teacher was engaged in a sexual relationship with the student during the 2012-13 school year. Troopers said a few instances of indecent contact occurred during school hours. Dr. Edward J. Albert, Tulpehocken School District superintendent, said Kurowski is suspended without pay. He attended her arraignment. Albert said he was made aware of the situation on Sept. 2, Labor Day. He said he received a tip from a person whom he would not identify. “I got the tip and I immediately got on the phone with the school board president (Scott W. Klopp) and our solicitor (Brian Boland),” Albert said. “I take this matter very seriously.” On that same day, Albert contacted state police and District Attorney John T. Adams. A preliminary investigation was conducted from Tuesday through Thursday that same week. Albert said Kurowski was initially suspended with pay. However, now that she’s been charged she is no longer being paid, Albert said. State police investigators recovered text messages and pictures with the assistance of the Berks County District Attorney’s Computer Crimes Unit and the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigations. The text messages were analyzed and it was apparent that Kurowski and the student engaged in conversations on a daily basis during and after-school hours, troopers said. Photos and messages stating “I love you” were exchanged between Kurowski and the student, troopers said. Some messages were sexually explicit, trooper said. “Any further discipline will be based on the ending of the investigation and the hearing,” Albert said. In the five years Albert has served as the district’s superintendent, he said he has not had to deal with such an issue. They should have fired her not suspended her without pay. SMH. Brianne Altice, Utah English Teacher, Accused of Having Sex With Students

Brianne Altice, a 34-year-old English teacher at a reputable Utah high school, has been arrested following allegations that she had sex with at least one student. She faces two felony counts of unlawful sex with a minor after the “victim” tipped off Kaysville, Utah, police about their alleged months-long sexual relationship. Brianne Altice, Teacher, Arrested For Having Sex With Student(s) According to the Deseret News , her alleged partner could accurately describe tattoos on Altice’s body, and confirmed the layout of her South Weber home. Investigators say they had sex there “at least five times” since January 2012. Police said Altice and the student also had sex in a park in Kaysville at least once, and that the tryst began when the boy, now 17, was 15 or 16 years old. All the while, he was a student of Altice’s at Davis High School. Police have not ruled out the possibility of more sexual trysts. Regardless of her legal fate, students at the high school where Altice taught English for about a year were shocked by the allegations against her. “She always wanted to be liked,” Kylee Carroll, a student at Davis High School, said. “I just didn’t think that she would ever do something like this.” Davis School District spokesperson Chris Williams noted widespread concerns that the scandal would damage the reputation of the acclaimed school. “This high school is a great high school. It has a fantastic reputation. So I’m sure there are some teachers out there wondering, ‘What does this do for the reputation?'” Certainly not good things, though the saga has yet to fully play out. Altice, who has taught in the district since 2004, has not been fired … yet. She has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Chris Brown Fight: Who Threw the First Punch?

Chris Brown did not throw the first punch in the fight that got him arrested and thrown in jail, according to the initial draft of the police report that was filed. The report was then corrected to indicate that he did, but it seems there’s a good deal of confusion surrounding the melee that broke out early Sunday. Initially, the report described Chris’ bodyguard as the person who threw the punch that broke the alleged victim’s nose, while Chris jumped in afterward. However, a revised copy of the report says it was the singer who landed the bone-crushing blow; Chris Brown was arrested for felony assault in D.C. To make things even more confusing, police recorded Chris, his bodyguard, the alleged victim, and other witnesses describing who hit whom in the fracas. Law enforcement sources believe that some of the people involved may be stretching the truth or outright lying, so the confusion is clearly a problem. Chris Brown Accused of Assault Look for Chris’ attorney to make the police report correction and any discrepancies in the investigation a key point of his defense, if it comes to that. We still haven’t heard his side of the story in any official capacity. The accuser says Chris freaked after he was photobombed. Brown sources say he was just trying to keep couple of guys from trespassing on his tour bus. Chris faces up to four years in prison for violating his probation, which he’s still on for beating Rihanna, regardless of what happens in this assault case. Judging by the reaction on Twitter , he’s already losing in the court of public opinion … and maybe even with the girl who stood by him for so long, Karrueche Tran .

The D.A. is looking to bury Aaron Hernandez UNDER the jail! Via HuffingtonPost Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey was served with a subpoena by Massachusetts State Police at Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon, as first reported by Sports Illustrated’s Pete Thamel and Greg Bedard. The subpoena is related to the investigation of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez’s connections to interstate gun trafficking, according to an unnamed SI source. Citing unnamed Dolphins sources, Albert Breer of NFL.com also reported that Pouncey had been served with a subpoena outside the visitors’ locker room on Sunday after the Patriots defeated the Dolphins 27-17 in Foxborough, Mass. Breer reported that the subpoena doesn’t necessarily mean Pouncey is “is being implicated in any wrongdoing.” Similarly, the Sports Illustrated report indicated authorities view Pouncey “as a material witness who could advance their case against Hernandez.” Neither the NFL or the Patriots were aware that papers were going to be served following the game at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, reported Kevin Clark of the Wall Street Journal, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter. “The next thing that will happen is Pouncey will have to find a lawyer,” ESPN legal analyst Lester Munson explained after the SI report. “He’s going to have to decide whether he is going to answer questions from the prosecutors in Massachusetts or he’s going to protect himself with the fifth amendment. And then the state police will evaluate everything that Pouncey says and determine the next step in the investigation.” The 24-year-old offensive lineman and his twin brother, Maurkice, attended the University of Florida with Hernandez. The Pouncey brothers’ friendship with Hernandez generated headlines in July when they were photographed at a nightclub wearing hats with the message “FREE HERNANDEZ. Madeleine McCann Case Reopened, New Evidence Cited

The case of missing British toddler Madeleine McCann has been reopened six years after she disappeared, thanks to new evidence cited by investigators. Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, had long campaigned from their home in central England for the Portuguese investigation to resume . In a statement Thursday, they said they were “very pleased.” “We hope that this will finally lead to (Madeleine) being found and to the discovery of whoever is responsible for this crime,” Kate and Gerry McCann said. Madeleine went missing just before her fourth birthday. The couple, both doctors, continue to care for Madeleine’s younger siblings, twins Sean and Amelie. McCann’s disappearance sparked global interest. In a stunning twist, Portuguese police briefly considered the parents suspects before they were cleared. Portuguese police closed the case in 2008, having detected no crime. However, a team of detectives from Porto, in northern Portugal, began reviewing evidence in 2011. They had not been involved in the original investigation. The public prosecutor’s office in Lisbon said it decided to reopen the investigation after new leads emerged during the case review. It did not elaborate. The case is subject to Portugal’s judicial secrecy law. British police, meanwhile, launched Operation Grange in 2011 to try to find out what happened to Madeleine and have also “identified new avenues.” They say both the timeline and the version of events surrounding the girl’s disappearance have changed significantly as new information has emerged. British detectives say it’s possible that Madeleine is still alive, and released a computer-generated image of a person they were interested in questioning. It’s an encouraging sign. We continue to hope for her safe return, along with that of Lisa Irwin and so many others who have been tragically abducted.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev Tied to 2011 Triple Murder

Ibragim Todashev, a friend of deceased Boston Marathon bombings suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, told police that Tsarnaev participated in a triple murder in 2011. Todashev was killed by an FBI agent who was interviewing him in May. His death is under investigation. Tsarnaev was killed days after the April 15 bombings. Tamerlan Tsarnaev Implicated in 2011 Triple Murder After the attack, police began taking a closer look at whether Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who knew the Waltham, Mass., murder victims, was involved in that case. Todashev’s statement that Tamerlan Tsarnaev was involved in the murders was previously reported. But a court filing this week was the first confirmation. “According to Todashev, Tamerlan Tsarnaev participated in the Waltham homicides,” prosecutors said in the filing, though officials did not elaborate. The federal prosecutors’ statement came in response to a motion filed by attorneys for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev seeking to compel the release of prosecution evidence. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev , Tamerlan’s younger brother, faces federal charges and sought the evidence to prepare his defense, but prosecutors opposed the motion. “The Middlesex District Attorney’s office is engaged in an active, ongoing investigation into the Waltham triple homicide,” prosecutors said Wednesday. “Disclosure of the details of that investigation could jeopardize it.” “Any benefit to Tsarnaev of knowing more about the precise ‘nature and extent’ of his brother’s involvement does not outweigh the potential harm.” The three Waltham murder victims ’ throats were slit in the early evening hours of September 11, 2011, the Boston Globe reported in June of this year. For the next 18 months the investigation seemed to go nowhere. Then officials began to look at Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who, along with his brother, is accused of killing three and wounding 260 others in the April 2013 blasts.

San Francisco Evacuated Due to "Suspicious Device" Sigthing

A bomb threat shut down San Francisco’s Union Square yesterday for approximately two hours. The incident took place around 11:45 a.m. when an unattended backpack was discovered along Stockton Street. In response, authorities ordered a multi-block area in the city to be closed, as workers in the vicinity were asked to remain inside their businesses and tourists were ordered to avoid the area. Cable car service was also stopped during the investigation. Fortunately, bomb-sniffing dogs and their human colleagues did not find anything dangerous inside the suspicious device, which was sitting near a text that had been set for this weekend’s women’s marathon. “It’s better to be safe than sorry,” Police spokesman Albie Esparza told The San Francisco Chronicle of why a shutdown was ordered. “We take these incidents really seriously.” Union Square is a major tourist draw in San Francisco. It is visited by millions every year and is comprised of many high-end retail stores.
