Move over, Barneys New York. Macy’s has also been slapped with a lawsuit by actor Robert Brown, who accuses the luxury store of racial profiling. Rob Brown: Racially Profiled at Macy’s? The New York Post reports that Brown, best known for starring opposite Sean Connery in Finding Forrester , has filled a civil lawsuit against Macy’s. He is also suing the New York Police Department, claiming that he was unlawfully searched by undercover police officers there on June 8, 2013. Brown, 29, was stopped after making a purchase at the Sunglass Hut store located inside Macy’s flagship location in New York City’s Herald Square. His story sounds very similar to that of the college student claiming he was arrested for buying a belt at Barneys in a story that went viral last week. According to the Manhattan Supreme Court suit, the African-American Brown presented his ID to cops but “was told that his identification was false.” Brown says he was told that he “could not afford to make such an expensive purchase” and was arrested and detained before being cut loose. The Brooklyn resident was not charged in relation to the incident. Brown’s incident at Macy’s has drawn parallels to that of 19-year-old college student Trayon Christian and 21-year-old nursing student Kayla Phillips. Both filed suits against Barneys and the NYPD in the last week. “It’s an epidemic. It’s unbelievable,” Nicholas Elefterakis, Brown’s attorney, said of the alleged altercations, which have even led to criticism of Jay Z . The rapper, who is set to launch a collection with Barneys, is being urged via petition to step away from the project. He has declined to do so … yet. We have an update on the alleged incident that went down between Camille Grammer and Dimitri Charalambopoulos inside a Houston hotel room on October 16. As previously reported, Grammer has accused her ex-boyfriend of assault, Tweeting a number of emotional messages yesterday and telling followers she feared for “her life” at the hands of Charalambopoulos. TMZ, meanwhile, confirms that Camille was granted a restraining order today about her former lover. The document states that Charalambopoulos received a text message from a woman around 1:30 a.m. on the 16th of this month and that this same woman proceeded to call Dimitri and yell at him. These exchanges led to an argument between Camille and Dimitri and to the latter subsequently grabbing his girlfriend’s hair and repeatedly slamming her skull into the headboard. Grammar says many follicles were yanked out in the process and that Charalambopoulos destroyed her iPhone when she tried calling for help. According to the legal filing, Camille alleges Dimitri “squeezed my nose between his finger and pushed upward forcefully, covering my mouth in an attempt to silence me to prevent me from breathing.” He is also accused of pounding Grammer’s head and face into the furniture and “complete immobilizing” the reality star. Camille estimates that the abused lasted a minimum of 40 minutes and that Dimitri threatened to knock her out if she moved off the bed when he finally left the room. A judge has granted a temporary restraining order that requires Charalambopoulos stay 100 yards from Grammer and her two children.

Bronx Dj Dies Retrieving iPhone According to The NY Daily News A Bronx deejay who busted out beats under the name “Tech Trackz” died on a stretch of city subway tracks Saturday morning as he tried to retrieve an iPhone he had dropped, officials said. Police sources said Francisco Diego Jr., 22, was shocked and then hit by a No. 2 train at the Wakefield-241st St. station — the last stop on the line — just after 1 a.m. Sources said Diego told a token booth clerk he had dropped his smart phone on the tracks. After the train entered the station he managed to get between two train cars and jumped onto the tracks. He was electrocuted when he touched the third rail, sources said. Diego fell onto the tracks, where the train hit him as it rumbled out of the station to be serviced. Paramedics rushed the tragically injured Diego to Jacobi Medical Center, but he could not be saved. The always-smiling spin master had just worked a Memorial Day bash at Maximo’s Place, a Bronx nightclub where he often hosted dance parties, according to his Facebook page. His grief-stricken mother choked back tears as she declined to talk about her son. Heartbroken friends stood outside Diego’s Fox St. home, where a makeshift memorial had been erected. They were in disbelief that Tech Trackz would do something so risky for something so replaceable. “He’s not the type to jump into the subway to get it,” said friend Kevin Atterbury, 16. “He would just go get a new one. That’s why this is so shocking.” But family members said Diego had ventured onto the tracks in the past. “He’s done it before, which is why he tried to do it again,” said Diego’s sister Nandy, 19. “But this time it wasn’t successful.
