Allen Iverson Wants To Work As An Executive For The Philadelphia 76ers Lord knows he could probably use the money… Via Philly.com Despite playing for three other franchises throughout his 14-year NBA career, Allen Iverson fondly refers to himself as a ‘Sixer for life.’ Now, with his number hanging from the Wells Fargo Center rafters and his playing days clearly behind him, ‘The Answer’ wants to continue his affiliation with the franchise that made him the first overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft. Appearing in the broadcast booth with Marc Zumoff and Malik Allen on Wednesday night, Iverson revealed that he would like to join the Sixers front office. “I have a relationship with these fans like no other. And with this city and with this organization,” Iverson explained of his ties to Philadelphia. “Anything I can do to help, I’m here.” The conversation then turned to Iverson’s post-retirement plans, and if he would like to remain around the game, potentially in a front office capacity. “I would like to be even in that war room,” Iverson replied. “Even if they don’t go with my decision or whatever, just to have an opinion and putting out what I think and trusting the organization to do what’s right.” In all seriousness, if anyone is qualified to give their opinion on basketball players it’s A.I. In broke baller news… Allen Iverson’s Ex-Wife Demands Back Child Support Via TMZ reports: Allen Iverson’s ex-wife is sick and tired of dragging him to court to squeeze out child support … she’s asking a judge to make him cough up the next 13 years worth RIGHT NOW — a cool $1.2 MILLION. TMZ broke the story … after the couple’s nasty divorce Iverson was ordered to pay $8000/month in child support for their 5 kids. Problem is, Tawanna has gone to court on numerous occasions because A.I. won’t pay. It came to a head in July when a judge threatened Iverson with jail, unless he forked over $40,000 in back support — which he did. But Tawanna says she doesn’t want to keep running into the same problem. On August 1st she filed docs asking a judge to make A.I. cover ALL the support through October 2026 (when their youngest turns 18). After the math, it comes to $1,272,000 … which Tawanna wants put in a trust for the children. A court has yet to rule. Maybe Tawanna can join ‘Basketball Wives’ and profit from her ain’t isht ex….

The 11-time All Star’s divorce proceedings have shed some light on Iverson’s dismal situation. According to Sports Illustrated, Iverson is bringing in about $60,000 a month at the moment but he is also spending more than $350,000. Most of that money is being used for mortgage payments and to pay back creditors but Iverson also spends a lot on clothes, restaurants and entertainment. The stunning elimination of Pia Toscano on American Idol Thursday night will no doubt go down as one of the show’s most controversial in 10 seasons. Despite her lackluster stage presence, her talent outclassed much of the field, with many predicting she would make it all the way to the May 25 finale. No one understood why Pia was in the bottom three to begin with. As the results were revealed, the judges and her fellow hopefuls were dumbstruck. File this under News You Didn’t Expect When You Got Up This Morning But Still Aren’t Shocked By At ALL: Allen Iverson went OFF on the cops last week! After a car belonging to him was pulled over for a traffic violation last week, the former NBA star told the officer, “Take the vehicle, I have 10 more.” Iverson was a passenger in the grey Lamborghini spied by an Atlanta officer changing lanes without signaling about 6 p.m. March 30, CNN reports . The driver, Antwuan Clisby, couldn’t produce any documentation for the vehicle, then told the officer Iverson needed to leave the car to eat dinner. The officer said no one was leaving until the investigation was done. Iverson became “irate” at that notion, proclaiming, “I’m the (expletive) passenger.” The officer radioed for backup, and a second unit arrived. Clisby and Iverson exited the car, and A.I. kept cursing at the officer, who informed him of his expired tags and that the car would be towed. “Take it, I have 10 more,” Iverson said. “Police don’t have anything else (expletive) to do except (expletive) with me … Do you know who I am?” The officer wrote in his report that he was just getting started: “For the next 20 minutes, Mr. Iverson went on and on about who he was.” “I stated, ‘It really doesn’t matter who you are. You tried to conceal your vehicle with a fake drive-out tag due to you not paying for your tags.'” Iverson then said, “I make more money than you will in 10 years.” Clisby then asked, “Would you want to pay $10,000 for a tag?” To his credit, Iverson later “came back and apologized for disrespecting the police,” the report said. “He stated he was just upset about his car.” Clisby was cited for not signaling and for the expired tag. Bet the fee to get the ride out of the city tow lot was under $10K though. Just saying.
