George Zimmerman Surrenders Is In Florida Jail Cell Hopefully this shady, lying fawk will be locked up for a minute before he goes to trial: George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer charged with murder in the killing of Trayvon Martin, surrendered to police Sunday and was booked into a central Florida jail two days after his bond was revoked. Zimmerman’s legal team said in a tweet Sunday afternoon that he was in police custody. Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester revoked Zimmerman’s bond on Friday, saying the defendant and his wife had lied to the court in April about their finances so he could obtain a lower bond. About 40 minutes before the 2:30 p.m. Sunday deadline to surrender, the Seminole County jail website listed Zimmerman as an inmate. He was being held without bail and had $500 in his jail account, the website showed. Seminole County Sheriff Donald Eslinger said Zimmerman turned himself in to two sheriff’s office employees around 1:25 p.m. near the jail, and was then driven there. Zimmerman arrived in a white minivan and did not respond to questions from reporters as he walked inside, handcuffed and wearing blue jeans, sneakers and a button-down shirt. “He is quiet and cooperative,” Eslinger said at a news conference after Zimmerman’s surrender. The sheriff’s office said the 28-year-old Zimmerman would be in a cell by himself, separated from the general population, because the case is so high-profile. The 67-square-foot cell is equipped with a toilet, two beds, a mattress, a pillow, a blanket and bed sheets. Zimmerman will not have access to a TV. Prosecutors said last week that Zimmerman and his wife told the judge at a bond hearing in April that they had limited money, even though he had raised about $135,000 through a website set up for his legal defense. They suggested more has been collected since and deposited in a bank account. Defense attorneys say the matter is a misunderstanding. The judge said Friday he would schedule a hearing after Zimmerman was back in custody so he could explain himself. Eff all that “explaining himself” bullshyte. He needs to be locked up for good. Adding to his problems, he could possibly face jail time for failing to pay child support. One of his baby mamas claims that Terrell is $20,000 behind and wants a judge to force him to pay up! The Fulton County contempt of court petition, the latest of several filed in the past year by Melanie Paige Smith, says Owens owes $5,000 for each of the months of December, January, February and March. A Fulton County judge ordered the payments for the support of the couple’s daughter in March 2007. “He has not indicated if he ever plans to send another penny for their daughter,” Smith’s attorney, Randall Kessler, said in a letter to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We plan to ask the court to send a strong message, given that he has only paid support in the last 10 months after a contempt action has been filed against him,” Kessler said. Something about this story just doesn’t smell right… A man arrested this week in North Carolina may have stashed a .38 barrel revolver in his rectum, according to police, who reported that the unloaded 10-inch weapon was not discovered until after the suspect had been booked into a cell in the county jail. Michael Leon Ward, a 22-year-old Georgia resident, was arrested Monday after a trooper spotted him speeding. Ward, who resisted arrest, was subdued with the help of a stun gun. A subsequent search of his vehicle resulted in additional charges for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. But it was only after Ward–who is a fugitive on a murder warrant out of Atlanta–entered the Onslow County jail that sheriff’s investigators discovered what else he possessed. According to cops, Ward, pictured at right, summoned jailers to his cell, claiming that someone was trying to kill him, and that he discovered a gun inside his cell. The weapon was found in the toilet, where Ward claimed he tossed it after finding it in his bunk Sheriff’s investigators say they are investigating how Ward got the weapon into the jail, since he had been “strip searched prior to being booked into a cell block.” The inmate, a press release notes, was taken today to a local hospital “for possible injuries that may have occurred to Ward’s rectum where it is believed Ward may have concealed” the revolver. In her latest court hearing, Hollyweird’s favorite Yayo Face, Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to a month in lockup for violating her probation terms. She also won’t have to go to jail right away, because the judge has given her a grace period to finish up her important work — disrobing for Playboy ! According to TMZ reports : Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced Lindsay Lohan to 30 days in jail at her hearing today for violating the terms of her probation. Lindsay admitted she violated her probation by not attending therapy sessions as required by the court and by getting kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Center. The judge now says ALL of Lindsay’s community service must now be served at the L.A. County Morgue. And the judge gave Lindsay a tight structure on how she must complete the rest of her probation, and if she doesn’t the judge will put a warrant out for her arrest and sentence her to an additional 270 days in jail. As for the 30 days Lindsay is getting now — the judge made it clear … NO HOUSE ARREST. The Sheriff’s Dept. tells us Lindsay will serve 20% of the 30 days — 6 days in jail. Judge Stephanie Sautner gave Lindsay a strict schedule on completing the rest of her probation — by December 14, she must have completed 12 days at the morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. By January 17, another 12 days at morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. And so on. Everything must be completed by March 29 — or she goes directly to jail for 270 days. The judge clearly thinks Lindsay needs a rigid structure to complete her sentence, and as the judge put it, Lindsay is holding the keys to the jail cell. And the judge strongly suggested Lindsay stop tweeting about her experiences at the morgue. At the end, Lindsay seemed happy, walking out of court saying, “Thank God,” under her breath. Sources in the courtroom tell us that when the judge got off the bench she remarked about Lindsay, “She looks good today.” Lohan was not immediately sent to jail because the judge decided to allow her time to complete her nude photo shoot for Playboy. Sources directly connected with Lindsay say Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, told the judge in chambers that Lindsay had a contract with Playboy — a contract of nearly $1 million — and the shoot must be completed this week. If it isn’t, Lindsay would be in breach of her contract. So Judge Stephanie Sautner cut LiLo a break … and gave her one week to surrender. Word??? They got it all the way poppin up in the Allegheny County Jail: They’re top of the line flat screen TVs and right now, inmates at the Allegheny County Jail are likely watching them. The County Jail Oversight Board recently approved the purchase of 40 Sony Bravia televisions for viewing in the jail common areas. If a judge sentenced you to the Allegheny County Jail, you’d be provided three hot meals and a bed to sleep in, but in common areas, you’d also be able to watch cable shows on 42-inch Sony flat screens. The County Jail Oversight Board recently approved the purchase of 40 sets for $16,000 or $395 a piece. “If our families in Allegheny County can’t afford 42-inch Sony Bravia TVs, the prisoners certainly shouldn’t be able to be watching them in jail,” he said. The money comes from the “Inmate Welfare Fund” – proceeds from the jail commissary used by the inmates. Onorato administration officials who wouldn’t be interviewed on camera or allow the televisions to be photographed, argued in a statement that it’s not the public’s money. “No taxpayer dollars or county funds are being used to purchase the televisions. The inmates are purchasing the televisions to replace old or broken sets. The decision to purchase the TVs was made by a committee that consists of jail personnel and inmate advocates.” “The point of being in jail is not to mistreat people or make them feel worse and resentful,” Marion Damick, a committee member, said. We got another look into the life of Lala and her family last night on the latest episode of “Lala’s Full Court Life.” We saw on last week’s episode that her hubby, Carmelo Anthony, was traded to the NY Knicks and on this week’s episode, we see just how hard that transition really was for Lala and her son, Kiyan. In order to cope with the stress of the move, Lala had her two besties, Dice and Po, fly to New York to be with her and Kiyan while Carmelo was on the road with the Knicks. The trio did what any normal person would do during a time of anxiety: down a couple drinks and do the “pee wee” dance on top of the bar! After hitting the bar and getting a little twisted, Lala was bombarded visited by some of her closest friends and family, over 12 of them to be exact, and was hounded with ticket and move in requests. As family oriented as Lala is, even she was a little overwhelmed by all the “love” she was being shown, and just wanted some time to herself to regroup after their impromptu move. Her son, Kiyan, must have felt her pain too because he even told cameras that he was done taping! You go Kiyan! Po and Dice being the best friends that they can be, took it upon themselves to try and bring Lala and Kiyan out of their funk while Carmelo was away. They ventured back to their old stomping grounds of Edgewater, New Jersey to reminisce about the good old days, waaaaay back when they didn’t own a pair of Louboutins, a multi-million dollar home and a custom made Range Rover. (lol) It’s always good to go back to your roots and see how far you’ve came and what you’ve accomplished… because if that doesn’t get Lala adjusted to New York life, then I don’t know what will! It’s back to jail again for Gucci Mane. According to the Associated Press , Gucci Mane will serve six months in jail after pleading guilty to battery and other charges. The battery charge stems from an April incident when Gucci pushed a woman out of his moving vehicle near South DeKalb Mall. DeKalb County Solicitor-General Sherry Boston told the AP that Gucci (born Radric Delantic Davis) pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct. State Court Judge Eleanor Ross sentenced Gucci to serve six months in custody followed by several months on probation. Judge Ross also ordered the rapper to complete 12 weeks of anger management classes; pay $5,091 in restitution to the woman for her medical bills; and pay a $3,000 fine.
