She’s Lithuanian, she looks ridiculously hot in a bikini, and according to her Twitter , she likes apples and hot tea. Fascinating stuff. We have so much in common. A new report states that an unidentified PR firm was so worried that fans would not turn out for Tom Cruise’s arrival in India this past Saturday for the Mumbai Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol premiere, that they paid approximately 200 people $3 each to show up and scream for the actor when he walked out of the local airport gate. The paid extras were also given a buffet lunch. “Tom kaun? I don’t know who he is or what he does,” one hired fan told First Post’s Bollywood division . “We were told to come here by 1pm today and wait for a foreign VIP to come out of the airport gate and scream and shout when he came.” [ Movies.com via FirstPost.com ]
We got another look into the life of Lala and her family last night on the latest episode of “Lala’s Full Court Life.” We saw on last week’s episode that her hubby, Carmelo Anthony, was traded to the NY Knicks and on this week’s episode, we see just how hard that transition really was for Lala and her son, Kiyan. In order to cope with the stress of the move, Lala had her two besties, Dice and Po, fly to New York to be with her and Kiyan while Carmelo was on the road with the Knicks. The trio did what any normal person would do during a time of anxiety: down a couple drinks and do the “pee wee” dance on top of the bar! After hitting the bar and getting a little twisted, Lala was bombarded visited by some of her closest friends and family, over 12 of them to be exact, and was hounded with ticket and move in requests. As family oriented as Lala is, even she was a little overwhelmed by all the “love” she was being shown, and just wanted some time to herself to regroup after their impromptu move. Her son, Kiyan, must have felt her pain too because he even told cameras that he was done taping! You go Kiyan! Po and Dice being the best friends that they can be, took it upon themselves to try and bring Lala and Kiyan out of their funk while Carmelo was away. They ventured back to their old stomping grounds of Edgewater, New Jersey to reminisce about the good old days, waaaaay back when they didn’t own a pair of Louboutins, a multi-million dollar home and a custom made Range Rover. (lol) It’s always good to go back to your roots and see how far you’ve came and what you’ve accomplished… because if that doesn’t get Lala adjusted to New York life, then I don’t know what will! It’s back to jail again for Gucci Mane. According to the Associated Press , Gucci Mane will serve six months in jail after pleading guilty to battery and other charges. The battery charge stems from an April incident when Gucci pushed a woman out of his moving vehicle near South DeKalb Mall. DeKalb County Solicitor-General Sherry Boston told the AP that Gucci (born Radric Delantic Davis) pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct. State Court Judge Eleanor Ross sentenced Gucci to serve six months in custody followed by several months on probation. Judge Ross also ordered the rapper to complete 12 weeks of anger management classes; pay $5,091 in restitution to the woman for her medical bills; and pay a $3,000 fine. The Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony divorce came as a shock to almost everybody. After seven years of marriage, the couple announced their split last last week, leaving many to wonder what will happen with their joint business ventures. According to the Hollywood Reporter, their plans to launch and produce the Latin talent show, “Q’Viva: The Chosen,” are still on. The search for contestants will begin being filmed this fall and, once aired, will broadcast simultaneously across 21 countries in North America, Central America and South America. In April, it was announced that the couple would “embark on what’s being described as ‘an epic three month long journey to create the ultimate live show celebrating Latin music, artistry and dance.’ Their travels will take them to remote areas of the Americas and filming will incorporate three languages.” J. Lo said of the show: “This journey for me and Marc is going be exciting and groundbreaking.” This…is gonna be awkward.
