“Last Train To Paris” Isn’t Exactly Raking In That Dirty Money

Last week, Diddy was all proud that his heavy promo convinced 100,000 people to go pick up Last Train To Nowhere. This week? Not so much, we think. The album dropped from number 7 to number 44 on the Billboard Hot 200 charts, after moving roughly 30,000 copies in week two. It’s gonna be a slow crawl to Platinum for Dirty Money. But it’s not all bad news for Urban music. The week’s highest new entry comes from Jamie Foxx’s “Best Night Of My Life,” which parties it up at No. 6 with 144,000. It’s Foxx’s third straight set to see a late December release, following “Unpredictable” (issued on Dec. 20, 2005) and “Intuition” (Dec. 16, 2008). The latter set opened at No. 3 with 265,000 while the earlier album climbed in at No. 2 with 598,000 (before hitting No. 1 the week following). Eminem’s “Recovery” is right behind Foxx, flying 15 rungs to No. 7 with 137,000 (up 100%). It benefits from sale pricing in the iTunes Store and also zips 15-1 on the Digital Albums chart with a whopping 513% jump in sales. Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” stands at No. 8 for a second week, selling 133,000 (up 36%). Keyshia Cole’s “Calling All Hearts” is the list’s second biggest debut, starting at No. 9 with 128,000. Her last album, “A Different Me,” was released, coincidentally enough, on the same day as Foxx’s last effort, on Dec. 16, 2008. “Different” launched at No. 2 with 322,000, one step ahead of “Intuition’s” 265,000. Both albums were blocked from No. 1 that week by the woman who reigns this week: Taylor Swift. Her “Fearless” set was in its third non-consecutive week atop the list, selling 330,000. Closing out the top 10 on the Billboard 200 is Rihanna’s “Loud,” climbing one spot to No. 10 with 111,000 (up 33%). Right behind her at No. 11 is the debut of Keri Hilson’s sophomore effort “No Boys Allowed” with 102,000. Hilson’s first release, “In a Perfect World,” debuted and peaked at No. 4 in April of 2009 with 94,000. We definitely didn’t expect Keri to break 100,000 copies her first week. Guess the ho sh*t paid off. Source

Jamie Foxx Recruits Justin Timberlake, Drake For Best Night Of My Life

Rick Ross, Soulja Boy Tell’em, Wiz Khalifa, T.I. and Ludacris are also on the December 21 album. By Gil Kaufman Jamie Foxx Photo: David Livingston/ Getty Images When Jamie Foxx throws a party, you can be sure he’s going to have a star-studded guest list. And what better way to celebrate the holidays than with a new studio album from the Grammy- and Academy Award-winning double threat, on which he brings his A-list pals along for the ride? Slipping in just under the 2010 wire on December 21 will be Foxx’s third studio album for J Records, Best Night of My Life, led by the first single “Fall for Your Type” featuring Drake. According to his label, the follow-up to Foxx’s multiplatinum 2008 album Intuition, which spawned the club staple “Blame It,” will feature his same patented mix of R&B ballads and club tracks. Among the songs on the 15-track album are “Best Night of My Life” (featuring Wiz Khalifa), “Living Better Now” (featuring Rick Ross), “Freak” (featuring Rico Love), “Hit It Like This,” “Yep Dat’s Me” (featuring Ludacris and Soulja Boy Tell’em), “Gorgeous,” “15 Minutes,” “Sleeping Pill,” “Rejoice,” “All Said and Done” and the hidden bonus track “Sex on the Beach.” Foxx recently promised “Extra” that “there’s a song on there for every woman,” making sure his favorite constituency knows he hasn’t forgotten about them. The album will also feature “Winner,” which MTV reported in March will celebrate a reunion of T.I. and Justin Timberlake , who were last heard together on Tip’s “Dead and Gone.” The track was leaked last year with just JT and Foxx’s voices on it, but just as he was prepping for release from prison earlier this year, the new version with T.I.’s verse hit New York radio. “I’m the fresher, go ask whoever that,” Tip raps on the song. “King back, money long as an old Cadillac.” It’s unlikely the trio will be able to perform the song live anytime soon, though, as the King of the South is back behind bars for 11 months for a probation violation. Among the producers who worked on Foxx’s new album are Eric Hudson (Trey Songz, Brandy), Bink! (Kanye West, Rick Ross), Danja (Snoop Dogg, Pink), Rico Love (Beyonc

Television’s Best Crime Families Ranked From Funny to Fearless

Some of television’s best and longest-running series in recent years have featured families full of crooks, mobsters, drug dealers and con artists. And just this week, a new wave of projects featuring clans of outlaws crested with ABC’ s Scoundrels , which features Virginia Madsen as a matriarch trying desperately to straighten out her crooked family. Meanwhile, in Scoundrels ‘ wake, Starz CEO Chris Albrecht (who headed HBO during the rise of The Sopranos ) acquired the rights to the Australian crime drama Underbelly , which currently features blood-related gang members, and Jamie Foxx shot a trailer for a mob family drama called Tommy’s Little Girl . In honor of this perennial programming trend, Movieline has compiled some of television’s best crime families over the years and ranked them — from funny to fearless.
