What the hell is going on with this family!? Katherine Jackson has been reported missing by her nephew late Saturday night, law enforcement sources tell TMZ . According to our sources, a nephew of Katherine’s filed a missing person’s report with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department after her grandchildren had been unable to reach her for over a week. Jermaine Jackson tweeted earlier this week that Katherine was in Arizona resting up on doctor’s orders. But early this morning, Paris Jackson tweeted, “yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven’t spoken with her in a week i want her home now.” She followed that up with a plea for people to call the authorities if they see her, then added, “the same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother… just saying.” Katherine Jackson’s lawyer told CNN she has never gone more than 24 hours without speaking to her grandchildren. As TMZ previously reported, the Jackson family has been feuding of late … with Randy, Jermaine, Tito, Rebbie and Janet Jackson seeking to have the executors of the Michael Jackson Estate resign from their positions. A letter that leaked on the internet, written by the aforementioned Jacksons, claimed that John Branca and John McClain had “taken advantage of the family … and have stressed out Katherine Jackson so much, that she recently suffered a “mini-stroke.’” Something ain’t right in the water! But reports say the singer is less concerned about her future these days and more focused on that of her 14-year old niece, Paris. According to Us Weekly sources, Janet is “furious” that Michael Jackson’s daughter has accepted a role in the 2014 film Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys . “She feels it goes against Michael’s wishes to keep his kids out of the the limelight until age 18,” the insider says of this Jackson feud . “Janet thinks Paris should enjoy being a kid and possibly go to college. Paris, however, is “hoping for more roles,” the source adds and Janet may not be the one to offer sincere advice to her relative: the singer has an extensive acting resume, including an extended stint on the sitcom Diff’rent Strokes … when she was 14 years old.
CBS Escapes Fine For 2004 Superbowl Halftime Show Slip-Up CBS has managed to dodge a $550,000 fine for Janet Jackson’s bosom-bearing half-time show “slip-up” with Justin Timberlake. The Supreme Court decided Friday not to consider reinstating the government’s $550,000 fine on CBS for Janet Jackson’s infamous breast-baring “wardrobe malfunction” at the 2004 Super Bowl. The high court refused to hear an appeal from the Federal Communications Commission over the penalty. The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals twice had thrown out the fine. The second time came after the Supreme Court upheld the FCC’s policy threatening fines against even one-time uses of curse words on live television. The appeals court said FCC’s policy of excusing fleeting instances of indecent words and images appeared to change without notice in March 2004, a month after Jackson’s halftime act. The judges said that made the agency’s action against CBS “arbitrary and capricious.” But now, the FCC clearly has abandoned its exception for fleeting expletives, Chief Justice John Roberts said. “It is now clear that the brevity of an indecent broadcast — be it word or image — cannot immunize it from FCC censure,” he said. “Any future ‘wardrobe malfunctions’ will not be protected on the ground relied on by the court below.” In addition, Roberts said that calling it a “wardrobe malfunction” when Justin Timberlake ripped away part of Jackson’s bustier “strained the credulity of the public.” CBS said it was grateful for the court’s decision. John Travolta’s Sexual Abuse Accuser Admits To Having The Wrong Date Of Assault The Plantiff who filed a bombshell lawsuit against mega-star John Travolta still maintains the Grease star made unwanted sexual advances towards him, but now says he got the date of the incident wrong, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. Travolta’s lawyer has insisted from the beginning that it was impossible for the actor to have committed the alleged assault on that date because he was in New York City and called the claims “fiction.” According to sources close to the case, John Doe #1’s account of the incident remain the same, but the date on which he said the alleged assault took place was not January 16, 2012, but actually on an earlier date. “It was a miscalculation,” one source said about the wrong date being claimed in the lawsuit. A second source said that the date change will not drastically affect the lawsuit filed against the star. “The lawsuit will likely be amended, but this doesn’t change the facts of the lawsuit,” a source connected to the case told RadarOnline.com exclusively. Despite having the wrong date, John Doe #1 is rock-hard in his stance that Travolta did him dirty. “John Doe #1 gave very specific information, and staff from the Beverly Hills Hotel will absolutely be included as witnesses in the case.The source pointed out that Travolta’s lawyer Marty Singer has been a pit bull against the claims, with Singer telling RadarOnline.com that they had flight and hotel details that would prove that Travolta was not in Los Angeles on January 16, 2012.“Let’s not forget John Doe accuser #2. It’s very interesting that Travolta’s team hasn’t gone after him,” the source pointed out. With two lawsuits now filed against Travolta, the source said that even though the original date was wrong, they aren’t going to withdraw the suit, which accuses the actor of assault, sexual battery, and sexual harassment. “This case will absolutely proceed through depositions and to a trial. The lawsuit can’t and won’t be thrown out because the date was wrong by the first John Doe, which will ultimately be up to a jury to decide. Both accusers are ready to go public, and aren’t afraid of John Travolta, and they will see this through to the end,” the source said. The 24-year-old singer issued a colorful complaint about feeling under the weather via Twitter over the weekend, and then surprised her 18 million followers with the photographic proof of her unidentified illness Tuesday with a Twit pic that showed RiRi in bed with an IV in her arm. According to People , a source close to Rihanna said the singer is on the mend and was not suffering from anything serious: “She had a fever and flu since last week and needed an IV, but is fine now.” Not that we’re qualified to offer a diagnosis here at MTV News, but judging from all the traveling, performing and promotion Rihanna has been involved in during the past month leading up to the release of her first movie, “Battleship,” as well as her performance on “SNL,” it seems likely the young woman was simply worn out. Here’s hoping she takes some actual time off for rest and relaxation. Meanwhile, we only have to wait a little while longer to see the “Where Have U Been” singer in her big-screen debut, a role that Rihanna said she relished because she got to be a total badass. “I wanted to do something badass, but I didn’t imagine it would be grungy, like straight Navy soldier, no makeup,” Rihanna said of her expectations for her first movie role. “I enjoyed it. “Battleship” opens May 18. Now that “The Voice” has wrapped, it’s time for another Mouseketeer-turned-diva to judge future music stars: Britney Spears has reportedly signed a deal to be a judge on “The X Factor,” according to E! News . News first broke in early March that the pop star was in negotiations to join the panel of Fox’s reality singing competition, and last month, it was reported that Spears was being offered $15 million for one season of the show — $3 million more than Jennifer Lopez earns as a judge on “American Idol.” “The contract is signed,” a source told E! “There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited.” In an April interview with TMZ , Cowell remained mum about the Spears negotiation rumors but admitted that he would “love” to have her on “X Factor.” “I think it would be a coup,” he said. “I think she would be a fascinating person to sit next to, so we’ll have to wait and see.” Spears will join returning mentors Cowell and record executive L.A. Reid on the panel. Several stars — from Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato to Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey — were reportedly discussed as possible replacements for Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul before Spears became the front-runner. There’s no word yet on whether one of those rumored contenders (or anyone, for that matter) will join the show as a fourth judge. “The X Factor” returns to Fox in September, with auditions already under way.
