Alan Wake Is (Finally) Done, Gets New Developer Diary

The day that gamers everywhere thought would never come has arrived: Alan Wake is done! Remedy announced via Twitter today that their long anticipated thriller-shooter has “passed certification and has officially been completed!” In addition, Remedy has bumped up the European release date to May 14, a week earlier than previously announced. Wake is still scheduled for release in North America on May 18 and Japan on May 27. Clearly, this game has been a long time coming, so it’s no wonder that Remedy popped some bubbly to celebrate Wake ’s completion (I know this becasue they posted some party pictures on their forums to prove it). Remedy also released a new developer diary entitled “Building the Thriller,” which features some brand new gameplay footage and more details about the game’s story and design. Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup Announcement – The members or lineup of the Lollapalooza 2010 has already been announced in public. This year Lollapalooza will be held on August 6-8, 2010 live at the Chicago Grand Park. Tickets will be cost at around $215 for a three-day pass and $850 for special VIP packages. Nintendo And Google Partner For Internet Search-Based Wii Game

In “Unlikely Duos” news, Nintendo has announced that it is partnering with search engine giant Google to develop games, the first of which will appear on the Wii in late April. According to Silicon Era , the game is called And Kensaku , and includes a number of mini-games that incorporate Google search results into them. For instance, one of the games is similar to Family Feud in that players guess which search term will return the most results. Another game tasks players with preventing a bomb from exploding by choosing terms will high results. The game is scheduled for release in Japan April 29. While you wait for this bizarre title to land stateside, you can marvel at the teaser site for the new game, but be warned: the theme song is pretty damn awesome.
