The actor exchanged vows today with British fiancee Amal Alamuddin, a lawyer to whom he got engaged in April . The couple arrived in Italy earlier in the week and celebrated the occasion separately on Friday night, enjoying bachelor and bachelorette parties with friends in the area. Clooney and Alamuddin made it official at the Aman Canal Grande luxury resort in Venice earlier today. Celebrity guests included Bono, Matt Damon, and Bill Murray. George and Amal began dating in October and – needless to say – things moved quickly. Earlier this month Clooney went public with wedding plans and confirmed that he and Alamuddin would tie the know in Italy before the end of September. The lengthy list of Clooney’s ex-girlfriends has received almost as much attention as his acting career over the years, and the playboy screen idol has publicly sworn off marriage on multiple occasions.
