‘Dancing With The Stars’ Finale: Jennifer Grey Bests Bristol Palin

Kyle Massey comes in second place in the surprise-filled season. By Kelley L. Carter Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough on “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday Photo: ABC Is it safe to say that Jennifer Grey had the time of her life during this season of “Dancing With the Stars”? Considering that she took home the top prize during Tuesday night’s (November 23) finale, that’s a resounding yes. Before the winner was announced, past contestants from this season were invited back to settle scores and dance one last go-round. One dance highlight of the night was Rick Fox versus Kirk Warner — and the two played up their basketball and football backgrounds. Then the three finalists — Bristol Palin, Kyle Massey and Grey — came back to dance one last time before the big reveal. The moment that everyone has been waiting for came: The tension was thick, as viewers waited to find out whether Palin would nab a controversial win. Turns out, there was no need for all the controversy. Palin landed in third place but received a standing ovation from the crowd. “I have so many good memories in this competition,” Palin said. “It’s been a life-changing experience.” Palin smiled as she and her partner Mark Ballas watched a montage of their special moments throughout the season. Once Palin was eliminated, Grey and her partner Derek Hough being named the champions seemed like a foregone conclusion. The announcement was the first non-surprise of the season, considering that the actress had consistently been a front-runner in the dance competition. Grey, who had a flawless finale performance the night before, fought back tears while nodding in agreement when co-host Tom Bergeron mentioned that she didn’t think she’d be able to actually perform at the finale, given that she had a few injuries that were bothering her. Grey paraded and danced with the trophy before she and Hough were lifted in the air by their fellow contestants. Are you happy with the outcome? Share your thoughts in the comments! Megyn Kelly in GQ: Foxy News Anchor!

Everyday on Fox News, Megyn Kelly reports from her America Live desk. Now, GQ has decided: she’s hot! The blonde “reporter” is featured in the magazine’s latest issue, showing just how fair her skin is and and just how balanced her… nevermind. Among the topics Kelly tackles in the interview is the old rumor that she carried on an affair with fellow anchor Brit Hume. Megyn says of this story: “I think Brit knew how preposterous it was to anyone with two nickels in between their ears. The first thing he said at his retirement dinner was “I haven’t been this honored since that rumor about me having an affair with Megyn Kelly went around.” Clearly, this is a woman unafraid to embrace her sex appeal. But is that the proper attitude for the lead daytime anchor on the country’s most watched news network? You tell us: Megyn Kelly in GQ is…

Dancing With the Stars: Who Will Win?

Does Jennifer Grey deserve it because of the physical ailments she’s overcome and the high scores she’s consistently produced, week in and week out? Does unheralded, charismatic Kyle Massey get the nod thanks to the rare blend of technical merit and fun he and Lacey Schwimmer bring to the table? Does Bristol Palin deserve it because … well, presumably people have some reason for stuffing the virtual ballot box for Sarah’s daughter each Monday. Who should win Dancing With the Stars this evening? The real (and possibly rigged, depending on who you believe) votes are cast, but THG’s poll is open! Weigh in and watch the results along with us later …

Dancing With the Stars: Jennifer Grey Makes Case For Crown; Will Bristol Palin Win Anyway?

Jennifer Grey has been a front-runner and fan favorite all season on Dancing With the Stars and was perfect – seriously, ALL 10s – in her final dances Monday. Will that be enough to defeat Bristol Palin ? You never know! Bristol, Jennifer and Kyle Massey competed in two rounds of the Dancing with the Stars finals – a redemption dance of the judges’ choosing, and freestyle. Jennifer and partner Derek Hough outclassed everyone. Now it’s in voters’ hands. HAND IT TO HER : Jennifer Grey deserves the Mirror Ball trophy . It’s very possible, given what the producers said yesterday about how the judges’ scores factor into the overall totals, they were trying to pad Jennifer’s lead hard core. Not that she didn’t deserve her perfect 10s, but after Audrina, Rick and most recently Brandy were voted off, you know the pros are pulling for Grey to take this thing. On the flip side, Bristol’s scores were on the high side too, but in proportion to how they scored both Jennifer Kyle. Here’s a breakdown of last night, round by round: Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer : In the foxtrot, Kyle showed improvement in technique, but lost a little entertainment value in the process. Score: 27 (9,9,9). He picked the “Tootsie Roll” for their freestyle, since it’s his favorite, and wanting to end their run on a memorable note. It was wild and fun. Score: 29 (10,9,10). Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas : With a little nod to the gorilla suit, Bristol’s jive was much improved actually. She’s come a long way, no doubt. Score: 27 (9,9,9). In the freestyle, she fell a little bit flat, relatively at least. It was solid, but the blank face and the stiff movements manifested themselves again. Score: 25 (8,9,8). Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough : The paso doble was a rare stumbling block this fall, but this time, she nailed it. Redemption dance, indeed. Score: 30 (10,10,10). Their freestyle, which had been in doubt because of Grey’s ailing back, offered laughs and enough daring tricks to earn another set of 10s. Score: 30 (10,10,10). Total scores on Monday’s Dancing With the Stars : Jennifer & Derek: 60 (35.71 percent) Kyle & Lacey: 56 (33.33 percent) Bristol & Mark: 52 (30.95 percent) After last night’s routines, Bristol would need to top Jennifer by almost five percent of the vote (for example, 38 to 33 to Kyle’s 31) to overtake her overall. We’re not privy to what kind of vote totals she’s racked up in previous weeks, but it seems like a tall order, given Grey’s strong fan support this season. Here’s hoping for a win for Jen, but let’s give Bristol her due. It’s not her fault that people vote for her, she tries her best and is under enormous scrutiny. She didn’t deserve to make the finals, in our opinion, but she’s given it her all week in and week out, even amid white powder scares . Terrific job, B. As for Kyle, he’s had a great run, but it’s ending here. Either the voters will give it to Jennifer on merit or Bristol … just because. Who are you rooting for?

By Jocelyn Vena Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/ WireImage While there has been speculation that Demi Lovato ‘s split from Joe Jonas may have been one of the reasons she left their tour to seek treatment, in a new interview, the Jonas brother insists that life on the road with his ex had been drama-free. “With Demi, it’s been friendly,” he told InStyle, in an interview that took place before Lovato decided to seek treatment for her physical and emotional issues. “There hasn’t been any drama.” On Wednesday, Lovato’s rep confirmed to MTV News that she would stay in treatment next week, contrary to reports that she would be out by Thanksgiving. In the issue, Jonas opens up about his love life, noting that he looks for a “great girl” in a potential love interest. “I’ve been able to meet some really nice girls and some not-so-nice girls,” he said about his famous love life. “I always try to be cool and still be friends, but sometimes it’s better not to.” Jonas, who is now romantically linked to “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene , said he’s willing to use his relationships as potential musical inspiration, just like another ex, Taylor Swift . “People say, ‘Are you mad that somebody writes a song about you?’ and I say, ‘No, that means I have the freedom to write a song about her,’ ” he explained of Swift. Joe also dished a bit about what fans might hear on his solo album . “I began writing with a Michael

Brandy Was ‘Very Sad’ About ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Elimination

‘I think Bristol did a great job,’ the singer says after controversial ‘DWTS’ results. By Jocelyn Vena Brandy appears on “The View” on Thursday Photo: ABC Many fans were shocked when Brandy was voted off “Dancing With the Stars” on Wednesday. Her elimination left Kyle Massey, Bristol Palin and Jennifer Grey in the top three as the show prepares to crown a winner next week. Asked how she felt about being eliminated, the singer took the high road but expressed some sadness. “Well, I think Bristol did a great job. She has improved [and] one of the great things about ‘Dancing With the Stars’ is the fans can get behind you and vote,” she said when she stopped by “The View” on Thursday (November 18). “I was sad. I was very sad because we worked so hard and when you come into competition you want to go as far as you can.” Brandy’s partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, didn’t get too heated about the elimination said he doesn’t believe Palin is a better dancer than Brandy. “I’m not ticked off,” Chmerkovskiy said. “I’m not ticked off because I feel everyone has the right to be on,” he added. “We had a lot of controversial eliminations this season. I feel like we should stay true to who we are now.” So does Maksim think he and Brandy were robbed? “Well, then a lot of people were robbed [over the years],” he said. Although Brandy isn’t taking home the mirror ball trophy, she said she has managed to win something else. “It’s completely changed my life,” she explained. “I feel like I’ve tapped back into my confidence and my power. This show has brought the best out in me [and] thanks to Maks.” She also had some predictions going into the final week of “DWTS.” “I don’t know who’s going to win but I know who I want to win … Kyle Massey,” she said. Partner Maks agreed saying, “I think Kyle is the best candidate.” What did you think of Brandy being voted off “DWTS”? Tell us in the comments! Maksim Chmerkovskiy Determined to Oust Bristol Palin on Dancing With the Stars

Maksim Chmerkovskiy may be surly, blunt, critical and not politically correct, but it’s just because he’s a serious competitor who wants to win. Period. Despite being demonstrably outclassed by the field week in and week out, Bristol Palin is still waltzing and spinning. Which has Maks’ head spinning. The fact that Bristol the Pistol is even in the top four on Dancing With the Stars has reportedly rankled Chmerkovskiy, who’s partnered with Brandy. Bristol Palin’s surprisingly long stint on Dancing With the Stars has captivated millions. Do not court Maksim Chmerkovskiy among those millions . “Maksim is very emotional and takes this show very seriously, if you haven’t already seen. He really wants to win,” a source says of the Ukrainian pro. “He works extremely hard and finds it depressing when people he thinks aren’t worthy of their current position get further then they possibly should.” He and Brandy are both so competitive and hungry, tensions often rise between them – and they’re allies. Imagine how he feels about Bristol Palin . While acknowledging some bad blood, a source says not to look into the grudge too much: “To say he simply doesn’t like her might be a little much.” “He is more not liking the whole situation of potentially losing to someone who he believes has significantly less talent than himself and Brandy.” What do you think? Can Bristol possibly make it to the final three? If she does, either Brandy, Jennifer Grey or Kyle Massey will have to go home. Bristol was last in scoring Minday, but that matters little, if at all. It comes down to votes. Who are you rooting for on Dancing With the Stars?

Dancing With the Stars Recap: Jennifer Grey is Perfect!

Jennifer Grey certainly made a statement last night. With just one night remaining before the finals, and voters paying scant attention to scores for several weeks now, there is no margin for error. Everyone is at risk. Well, everyone but her. The way she and Derek Hough danced Monday, the other three pairs are tangoing for second. A perfect 30 once? Amazing. Twice? Unheard of. HAND HER THE MIRRORBALL : Hopefully next week, the voters will . The 90-minute program was probably the most entertaining of the season so far, as all the couples stepped up their game, including Bristol Palin , who wasn’t terrible. Not that she deserves to make the finals over Jennifer, Brandy or Kyle Massey. Each outperformed Bristol, predictably, last night as they have for the final month. Let’s break it down by couple. Regaining sole ownership of the top of the charts were Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, whose efforts were pure perfection. Their first dance was the cha cha, set to Duffy’s “Mercy,” and when Bruno calls it “luminous, vibrant, sexy” and flawless execution, well, you knew 30 was comin’. Amazingly, it got better. An elegant routine that was pure dance, their waltz was a gem. Carrie Ann called it “one of the most beautiful things ever.” Apparently. 30 . Flying under the radar much of the fall, Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer showed why they’ve lasted so long with a fun-loving rumble of a samba. Good for 29 . How can you not love this guy and the infectious energy he brings week in and week out? The couple brought it a second time in their tango, scoring another 29 . Brandy started things off with a bold paso doble, which she compared to coming into one’s own, a la Katy Perry’s “Firework.” Imperfect but solid, it netted her a 27 . Their tango, however, had no such imperfections. Awarding her 30 , the judges called it “lush” “voluptuous” and “full of flavor,” with marvelous body extension. Finally, Bristol Palin. Despite our conspiracy theory about why she’s still on the show, she did pull off a pretty fierce paso doble with Mark Ballas, earning a nice 27 . Her waltz, unfortunately, fell just a little bit short. It was far from bad, don’t get us wrong, but she needed to be nearly perfect to compete and wasn’t with a 26 . The Dancing With the Stars scores: Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough: 60 (30, 30). Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer: 58 (29, 29). Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 57 (30, 27). Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas: 53 (27, 26). Well, how do you see it playing out tonight? Can Bristol do the impossible and make the finals ? If she does, it will be at the expense of someone more deserving. Who are you rooting for on DWTS?
