‘Jersey Shore’ Star The Situation Talks Lady Gaga, ‘Dancing With The Stars’

David Hasselhoff is ‘really breaking it down,’ he told Jay Leno when asked about his ‘DWTS’ competition. By Kyle Anderson The Situation on “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday Photo: NBC Two days after hanging out in a hot tub with Chelsea Handler at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards , “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino stopped by “The Tonight Show” to chat with host Jay Leno about his experience at the show and his chances on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars.” “It was just awesome to be there,” he told Leno about the VMAs. “I saw Justin Bieber, Drake, Lady Gaga was out there. It was pretty crazy.” When Leno asked about Gaga’s meat dress (which remains one of the most talked-about aspects of the show), the Situation was as confused as many of the people who saw it. “I seen her from afar and I didn’t even know — was it actually meat?” he asked. “I heard it was real, and I was like, ‘No way.’ How long do you think it takes to put together something like that?” As for “Dancing With the Stars,” which kicks off on Monday, the Situation was humble but confident about his chances. “I love a challenge,” he said. “I love the people, I love the camera. But I’ll be honest with you: It’s pretty hard.” As for the competition, he’s most worried about one particular star. “I’ve seen some of the dancers practicing, and if I have to say somebody, I have to say the Hoff,” he told Leno of contestant David Hasselhoff. “He’s really breaking it down.” One fan he won’t have is Jamie Lee Curtis, who was also sitting on “The Tonight Show” couch. “I am the cheerleading captain of Team Jennifer Grey,” she said. “She is going to rock your world.” How do you think the Situation will fare on “Dancing With the Stars”? ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Host Talks ‘Crazy Lineup’

‘The Situation has a lot of charm,’ Brooke Burke says. ‘I think we’re going to see a lot abs!’ By Jocelyn Vena Brooke Burke Photo: MTV News When “Dancing With the Stars” kicks off later this month, it will star two of MTV’s most recognizable faces, “The Hills” alum Audrina Patridge and “Jersey Shore” ‘s very own the Situation . The show’s host, Brooke Burke, admits that she’s excited to see how light on their feet the reality-TV stars are. “I think they both have a lot going for them,” she told MTV News at the VMA Radio Forum on Friday (September 10). “I know Audrina is going to look amazing. She looks the part already. She’s gonna get out on the ballroom and look so beautiful and elegant. Can she dance? I have no idea.” While Burke is equally unsure about the Sitch’s dancing experience, she does think he’ll impress the audience with his stage presence. “The Situation has a lot of charm and he’s got courage and I think he’s going to be fun to watch,” she said. “And I think he’s going to have fun doing the show, and I’ve always said that’s a huge part of it.” The Situation, however, may find himself having to play catch-up since he’s starting rehearsals later than everyone else as the “Jersey Shore” was filming its third season. “He has such a disadvantage because he’s not able to rehearse for the full month,” the host said. “But [his partner], Karina [Smirnoff], is amazing and she’s a powerhouse and she’s really tough, so if anybody can get him show-premiere ready, Karina can do it. I think we’re going to see a lot abs!” Burke added that fans shouldn’t just be amped for Situation and Audrina — the entire “DWTS” lineup is impressive. “I think it’s a crazy lineup. It’s anybody’s game right now,” she said. “No one has dance experience. I love this season because it’s totally unpredictable. Everybody’s talking about the Situation. I don’t know: We got Rick Fox competing against Kurt Warner, two athletes. I think Kurt Warner has an amazing Cinderella story. Jennifer Grey, you know she’s going to bring back the ‘Dirty Dancing.’ It’s kind of a crazy cast. It’s a good eclectic mix.” Who are you most excited to see on “DWTS”? Tell us in the comments!

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Leaves Audrina Patridge ‘Sore’

She still has difficulty ‘going through the entire routine without stopping, because you run out of breath,’ she says. By Kelley L. Carter Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani Photo: ABC With just two weeks until the new season of “Dancing With the Stars” premieres, could Audrina Patridge be ready to head for the hills already? No, but mastering the dance steps and learning an entire routine for the show sure is challenging, the “Hills” alum told Us Weekly. “My legs are so sore!” The 11th season premieres September 20, and Patridge, 25, is paired up with pro Tony Dovolani . Other celebs she’ll be competing against this season include Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Bristol Palin, Brandy, David Hasselhoff, Florence Henderson, Jennifer Grey, Michael Bolton, Margaret Cho, Rick Fox and Kurt Warner. Patridge also told the magazine that she still has difficulty “going through the entire routine without stopping, because you run out of breath. It’s like, ‘I don’t know if I can stand this for 15 more hours!’ I’m really hard on myself. I’d rather just keep going and going and going instead of taking a break.” The work may be challenging, but there’s a reward, she’s discovering. “My calves and my legs are really getting tighter,” she said. As for how she’s really holding up? Dovolani said she’s a force to be reckoned with. “Right now she’s her own competition — she pushes herself to the end,” Dovolani told the magazine. When MTV News caught up with Patridge last month, she raved about Dovolani. “He is amazing,” she said. “He’s such a great teacher. He’s very professional, and we have a lot of fun together. It’s really fun. I look forward to going to rehearsal every day.” Are you rooting for Audrina on “DWTS”? Let us know in the comments! Related Photos ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 11 Cast Revealed!

‘Social Network’ Star Jesse Eisenberg Is Immune To Movie’s Buzz

As he dives into other projects, Eisenberg hasn’t paid attention to anticipation for this fall’s Facebook flick. By Eric Ditzian Jesse Eisenberg and Joseph Mazzello in “The Social Network” Photo: Sony Pictures Jesse Eisenberg doesn’t have a lot of free time at the moment. He’s holed up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, filming the action/comedy “30 Minutes or Less,” and when he’s not on set — as happened on a recent Sunday evening — he’s often writing term papers as part of the undergraduate anthropology degree he’s pursuing.

Former ‘Hills’ star says everyone’s looking forward to meeting the Situation. By Kara Warner Audrina Patridge Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage With such an eclectic group of personalities, fans seem to be clamoring to find out more about the dynamics of the Season 11 “Dancing With the Stars” cast and how they’re adjusting to the hard work and long rehearsal hours leading up to their next big roles. When MTV caught up with Audrina Patridge recently, she dished on her “amazing” partner Tony Dovolani , but also humbly revealed a few sore muscles and what everyone is saying about “The Situation.” “I have discovered muscles I never knew existed on my body,” Patridge admitted. “The muscles right behind my knees are killing me, my calves, my arms, my thighs, everything.” When asked which castmember she was excited to meet at the show’s big reveal on Monday, the former “Hills” star gushed about two longtime idols. “I loved meeting Jennifer Grey,” Patridge said. ” ‘Dirty Dancing’ is one of my favorite movies, and she is such a nice person and she’s beautiful. Florence [Henderson], from ‘The Brady Bunch.’ She is awesome. I love her. She has the best energy.” Everyone in the cast is “really cool,” she added. “They all have great personalities. Everyone is really supportive, and we’re all in this together.” Patridge went on to say that she and her fellow female castmembers shared their anxiety about performing in front of a live audience. “It’s a little scary,” she said. “But we’re all pumping each other up and giving each other advice, so it’s really good.” And what does she think of fellow MTV star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino? “I haven’t met him yet, but the talk on set is all about his abs,” Patridge said, laughing. “So everyone is really looking forward to meeting him.” Related Photos ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 11 Cast Revealed!
