Jennifer Lawrence Preparing Her ‘Bradley Cooper Box Set’

‘I’m an actor digging through Angelina Jolie’s garbage,’ ‘Hunger Games’ star jokes to MTV News about replacing the actress in Cooper’s next flick. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jennifer Lawrence Photo: MTV News “The Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence has admitted she’s not sure when she’ll be on set for the next film in the franchise, “Catching Fire,” but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have plenty of projects to keep her busy until then. “I just wrapped a movie called ‘The Silver Linings Playbook,’ and that’ll be out at some point, I don’t know when,” Lawrence told MTV News recently. “And then I’m going to go shoot another Bradley Cooper movie. It’s not a Bradley Cooper movie — Bradley Cooper’s in the movie — it’s a Jennifer Lawrence movie with Bradley in it,” she joked. “Bradley Cooper and I are going to come out with a Jennifer Lawrence/ Bradley Cooper box set.” That box set, should it ever get made, would focus on two very different films starring Lawrence and Cooper: “Silver Linings,” due in November, revolves around a man who tries to put his life back together after spending years in a mental institution, while “Serena” is about a Depression-era couple who face personal complications when they learn the wife cannot bear children, possibly destroying the future of their lumber company. Lawrence will play Cooper’s wife in “Serena,” a part originally intended for Angelina Jolie. “I’m not at the status where I have her roles. I have her leftovers, let’s be clear,” she joked of Jolie. “She left it for me. I have her garbage. No, that’s a wonderful place to be. I’m an actor digging through Angelina Jolie’s garbage. I’ve made it.” Shooting on “Serena” has yet to start. Although Lawrence has several films on her production docket, she wouldn’t rule out getting back into the “X-Men” mindset as Mystique if given the chance. “I would love to do another one. I’m hearing the same as everyone else, there’s mumblings,” she said of her “First Class” role. “I can’t wait to get painted again.” If fans can’t wait that long to see Lawrence’s on the big screen, they can head to theaters on March 23 when the highly anticipated “Hunger Games” hits theaters. Kate Upton Zoo York Ad: Banned By MTV!

When MTV won’t air an ad, you know it’s gotta be pretty profane. Such is the case for Kate Upton ‘s latest campaign for skater clothing brand Zoo York, in which she can be seen jogging (and stretching!) through Manhattan as a pair of foul-mouthed cockroaches profanely ogle the the SI cover model. That about sums it up. Watch the (VERY NSFW) spot below: Kate Upton Zoo York Ad Adult Swim programs apparently banned the Kate Upton ad as well, which isn’t really a big surprise, given that it makes her Carl’s Jr. ad look downright tame.

Jennifer Lawrence Says Shooting ‘Catching Fire’ Will Be ‘A Blessing’

‘I got to play this character that I love, and then whatever I didn’t like, I can fix next year,’ ‘Hunger Games’ star tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jennifer Lawrence Photo: MTV News “The Hunger Games.” has yet to hit theaters, but preparations for the next flick in the series, “Catching Fire,” are already in the works. Still, the franchise’s leading lady, Jennifer Lawrence, is just trying to catch her breath for the first film, out March 23, before she can catch fire. “It’s kind of like when we’re there, let’s talk about it. But until then I’m sick of hearing about myself as Katniss,” she laughed to MTV News when asked how she feels about having to hit the set for the next film. “And also we’ve been focusing on getting this one out so much that we haven’t really had time to talk about the second one. I’m sure they’ve had time.” “Catching Fire” picks up where the first novel/movie leaves off. (Warning: Minor spoilers ahead!) With the latest round of the Hunger Games over and Katniss and her pal, Peeta, standing victorious, there’s rebellion under way against the Capitol. But that’s not the only upheaval. There’s a special edition of the Hunger Games announced that will up the stakes once again for the two friends and everyone they know. “I think one and three are my favorites [in the franchise],” she said of her favorite novels in the Suzanne Collins-penned trilogy. “But ‘Catching Fire,’ I’m looking forward to shooting ’cause it kind of becomes more of a war movie.” While some actors might not be ready to commit to a multiple film franchise, the Oscar nominee saw it as a chance to create the Katniss character in a fully realized way. “That was definitely something to take into consideration. But then I was like, I’m an actor so I would be doing a film, at least a movie a year anyway,” she explained. “And then the opportunity to play a character that you love and something you’re really passionate about, that happens rarely, if at all, in somebody’s life. So now it’s a blessing ’cause I got to play this character that I love this year and then whatever I didn’t like, I can fix next year.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Hunger Games.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Black Keys, My Chemical Romance Lead Musical March Madness’ Midwest

U2, Metallica, Nickelback and more battle it out in a heavyweight region. Voting in all first-round matchups is now live! By James Montgomery U2’s Bono and Dick Vitale Photo: Getty Images MTV’s third-annual Musical March Madness tournament tipped off Monday, with voting opening in all first-round matchups. But with a bracket busting with bands — 64 in all, each battling to hoist the championship trophy when the tournament ends April 3 — we realize that choosing your favorites in each contest can be a daunting task (unless your favorite happens to be Tokio Hotel — they’re having no problem racking up the votes). After all, sometimes even the selection committee has a difficult time distinguishing between AWOLNATION and Five Finger Death Punch. Vote for your favorite band, discuss and share on Facebook and Twitter in the MTV Musical March Madness interactive bracket! So with first-round voting open until Sunday (polls close at midnight ET), we’re going to spend the next few days breaking down each Musical March Madness region, starting with the mighty, meaty Midwest, a bracket loaded with meat-and-potatoes rock acts … and, uh, Bon Iver, too. Can the top-seeded Black Keys run the table? Will MMM superpowers My Chemical Romance continue their tradition of deep tournament runs? Or, like last year, will the Midwest go to an upset-minded underdog, like Chevelle or Sum 41? Read on for our picks in each opening-round tilt. #1 The Black Keys vs. #16 AWOLNATION: On the surface, the Keys should win this one with ease. Then again, as any MMM historian will surely tell you, the three-year history of the tournament is littered with jaw-dropping upsets (like #16 the Hold Steady knocking off #1 Nickelback in 2010, or 16th-seeded Sum 41 dumping #1 Arcade Fire last year). Still, with so much momentum — back-to-back breakout albums, a sold-out arena U.S. arena tour — we like Auerbach and Carney over a very game Aaron Bruno. #2 Bon Iver vs. #15 Sum 41: The pride of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, faces off against the pride of Ajax, Ontario, in this opening-round barn-burner. Bon Iver was a surprise second seed in the Midwest (geography was a determining factor, as always), while one could argue that, based on last year’s MMM run alone, Sum 41 should be way higher than a 15 seed. Bad news for the bearded one, we’re taking tourney-tested Sum 41 for the upset. #3 Pearl Jam vs. #14 Five Finger Death Punch: It’s rock legends versus fast-rising, faster-playing metallers here, and though Pearl Jam currently hold a rather-sizeable lead so far, we’re not writing off Five Finger Death Punch just yet. Hard-rock bands tend to do surprisingly well in MMM (they’re fans vote equally hard), which is why, we think by week’s end, it’ll be the Death Punch who roll to round two. #4 U2 vs. #13 Modest Mouse: Last year, U2 were a surprise early exit, losing to eventual champs Green Day in round two, while Modest Mouse have never made it out of the first round of the tourney. Based on that alone, we’re taking Bono and Co. here, though, after one day of voting, this one is still pretty close. #5 My Chemical Romance vs. #12 Death Cab for Cutie: MCR are the only band in MMM history to make the Final Four twice, including a heartbreaking championship-game loss to Coheed and Cambria in 2010. Death Cab? Uh, yeah … they’ve been to the second round. Once. This one won’t even be close: MCR are going far in this tourney. #6 Kid Rock vs. #11 Chevelle: It’s Michigan versus Illinois in this first-round barnburner, which could have been an actual NCAA tournament matchup if Illinois didn’t suck so bad this year. Kid Rock has been getting in touch with his Seger side in recent years, while Chevelle roared back in 2011 with the (actually pretty great) Hats Off to the Bull , and so far, it’s the rockers who hold a commanding lead over the Kid. Can they hold on? We’ll say they do, and advance to the second round. #7 Metallica vs. #10 Guns N’ Roses: A true clash of the titans, this one could go either way (though it hopefully won’t end like the pair’s 1992 Montreal show did, with both James Hetfield and the city set on fire). Understandably, this one is currently the closest matchup in the entire tournament, with the Gunners holding a .02 percent edge. There’s a whole week still to go, but this one might be too close to call. #8 Nickelback vs. #9 Rise Against!: A total style clash in every conceivable way, Rise Against! jumped out to an early lead, but thanks to some feverish tweeting , Nickelback have swung things in their favor. It’s still close, but we think Kroeger and Co. pull it out — if only because we suspect a Black Keys/Nickelback second-rounder will be, uh, interesting . MTV’s 2012 Musical March Madness Tournament is underway! Voting in the first round runs until midnight ET on Sunday, March 18, and winners are determined by fan votes, so if your favorite act made the cut, it’ll be up to you to guide them to glory. You can rally the troops on Twitter using the hashtag #MMM or by downloading one of our custom badges — but get ready, it’s gonna be a war. Related Videos Musical March Madness Returns! Jennifer Lawrence Happy To Not Be On Fire At ‘Hunger Games’ Premiere

‘God, that was a high, high bar to set,’ Lawrence said of her character Katniss’ combustible costume. By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jennifer Lawrence attends the world premiere of “The Hunger Games” Photo: Getty Images She is the Girl on Fire. The one who won the role from a field of Hollywood’s hottest actresses. She’s Jennifer Lawrence , the center of all the attention when she walked the black carpet at the premiere of “The Hunger Games” Monday night in Los Angeles. The night was the culmination of a storied journey, and Lawrence strolled the carpet with the confidence of the Hunger Games champion, but to the disappointment of just about everyone but Lawrence, she wasn’t on fire. “Was everybody disappointed that I wasn’t set on fire? God, that was a high, high bar to set. ‘Oh, darn it, she didn’t set herself on fire,’ ” she told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz. “That’s unfair. I don’t ever want to have to put myself on fire. Why am I constantly disappointing myself when I’m not putting my life in danger? That’s not right.” Fans, or tributes as they call themselves, camped outside the Nokia Theater for hours just to get a glimpse of the stars of their most anticipated movie. As a thank you, Lawrence went to meet the fans earlier in the day. “It was incredible, such support,” Lawrence said. “It was the least I could do. It was so nice of them.” But even with all the expectations of those fans and the pressure that comes with it, Lawrence insisted that she’s kept a pretty calm head through all of this. “You know me. I never fully absorb anything. I just get through the day,” she said. A bit of a rude awakening for Lawrence, she told MTV News that she found out on the carpet from a different outlet that her training for the next film, “Catching Fire,” begins earlier than she expected. “I’ve just been told from E! that my training schedule starts in June,” she said. “I thought I had a couple months off. I guess not.” But what lethal skills she’ll be taking on for her next appearance at Katniss Everdeen, Lawrence has yet to find out. “I don’t know. I have to go ask E! if I have to brush up on my bow or if we covered that last time or if I have to do agility again,” she said. Swedish House Mafia Jockey Robotic Greyhounds In New Video

SHM teams up with Absolut for futuristic video for anthemic single ‘Greyhound.’ By Akshay Bhansali Swedish House Mafia Photo: Getty Images With “Greyhound,” two powerhouse Swedish entities have teamed up on an epic music video for an absolute banger of a new single (pun intended). With just over a week before their Masquerade Motel mini-festivals hit Miami’s Grand Central Park, Swedish House Mafia have partnered with Absolut on a new song, video and grapefruit-flavored spirit. And while not all of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso’s fans may be of beverage-sampling age, their new single (which they debuted at Madison Square Garden ) now has a commendable video for all to see. “Greyhound” recalls the underground and illicit motif established in the Yakuza-inspired video for their last single, “Antidote,” except it’s a lot less violent and everyone keeps their clothes on. Set in a futuristic, “Mad Max”-like desert, the video follows fashion-forward gangs at the races. Just what is running the lengths? You guessed it: robotic greyhounds that seem to be a marriage of Voltron’s Lion Force and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Cheetah robot . It’s probably safe to say the evil-doers in “Save the World” are somewhere thanking their lucky stars they didn’t meet these dogs in a dark alley. Jockeying the thoroughbred canines, through holographic console manipulation, are Ax, Seb and Steve, from what would seem a subterranean basement. And though it may be tough to tell from the video’s ending which pup and jockey proved victorious, Swedish House Mafia and Absolut certainly come away with a win for a compelling video for what is sure to be an EDM anthem going into Miami Music Week. “Greyhound,” SHM’s fifth single, is slated for release on March 19 here on Absolut’s Facebook page. ‘Hunger Games’ Actress Sees Katniss In Jennifer Lawrence

‘Jen has some of Katniss’ qualities in her,’ Amandla Stenberg told MTV News of the ‘Hunger Games’ leading lady. By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jennifer Lawrence in “The Hunger Games” Photo: Lionsgate Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss Everdeen, though not every fan agreed prior to the actress’ casting almost a full year ago. Was her hair dark enough? Was she young enough? These were the nitpicky details that some readers of “The Hunger Games” latched onto, but based on increasing buzz about the film’s fantastic quality, those worries should be out the door by now — and if they’re not, Amandla Stenberg is here to convince you of Lawrence’s worthiness. “I think they’re kind of similar,” Stenberg, who plays fan-favorite tribute Rue in the film, told MTV News on the “Hunger Games” red carpet in Los Angeles on Monday. “Jen has some of Katniss’ qualities in her. She can be kind of sarcastic, and I think Jen has that same sense of humor.” Stenberg certainly had plenty of chances to see for herself just how much Lawrence and Everdeen have in common. As Rue, the young actress spent most of her screen time opposite the Oscar-nominated “Winter’s Bone” actress, playing her first ally in the deadly competition. Indeed, Rue is at the center of what may very well be the most anticipated scene in the film for “Hunger Games” readers. “I want fans to be happy with it,” Stenberg said of her all-too-crucial spoiler-heavy scene. “But being on set though, even when we were shooting such a serious scene, everyone was lighthearted and having fun. We tried to keep it a little happy on set.” For Stenberg, it wasn’t hard to stay happy, considering that she had read “The Hunger Games” a whopping four times before even landing the part of Rue. As a fan of the books, Stenberg admitted that she was pretty nervous going into the audition process, even though she clearly nailed the tryout in the end. “I went to [director Gary Ross’] house covered in mud with leaves and twigs in my hair and everything, so I looked like Rue,” she recalled. “I think I made a good impression, because it went really well. I was very nervous though because I didn’t hear back for a couple weeks, but then I got a call from my agent saying I got the part. I started screaming and running around!” Related Videos Live From ‘The Hunger Games’ Red Carpet Premiere MTV Rough Cut: Jennifer Lawrence
