Rock of Ages Clip: Mary J. Blige Sings Journey for Strippers

Here’s what I’ve been waiting for with all these pseudo-karaoke Rock of Ages glimpses we’ve endured: A look at Mary J. Blige — the realest singer in the cast, if you ask me — doing her thing. Watch as Mary J. as Justice Charlier drops the 411 on neophyte exotic dancer Julianne Hough to the sounds of Journey’s “Any Way You Want It,” which is apparently the rallying empowerment anthem of strippers everywhere circa 1987. All these choreographed limbs and intentionally cheesy-bombastic rock ‘n’ roll faces are actually… growing on me. That said, I can’t quite figure out what kind of ’80s getup Hough is wearing here. What is that, Xanadu -chic? Rock of Ages is in theaters June 15.

J. Lo Tops Forbes’ Fame + Money List

The surprise winner of this year’s Forbes Celebrity 100 list was singer-actress- American Idol famous person Jennifer Lopez , who beat out the likes of Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga in the magazine’s uber-scientific calculation of the celebrity with the most fiscal earnings and fame. J. Lo even bested Oprah, but then Oprah’s having an off year despite raking in $165 million. Not bad for a former fly girl — and a wily Hollywood strategist , at that — whose second pregnancy-themed movie in a row is coincidentally due in theaters this week. [ Forbes ]

Kristen Stewart Amused By ‘Snow White’ Co-Star Charlize Theron

‘I love the effect she has on people,’ KStew tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Charlize Theron in “Snow White and the Huntsman” Photo: Universal Despite their obvious differences both onscreen and off, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron have formed a bond during the filming of “Snow White and the Huntsman” and even more so during the current press tour in support of the film. When MTV News caught up with Stewart recently, we asked her to compare the familiar scenario of doing interviews with her longtime “Twilight” co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner versus her new castmate, the lovely Ms. Theron. “When Rob, Taylor and I do interviews together, they usually don’t actually ask us anything. We just get to hang out and people like to watch that,” Stewart said with a laugh. “It’s fine, because I like hanging out with those guys, but it is weird. With Charlize, it’s been great, because we’re so proud of the movie and we actually only worked together for three days, so we got to know each other probably more or at least on a certain level during press, and it’s been nice. It’s been fun.” Stewart said she especially admires Theron’s ability to light up a room with her energy and humor. “Some people intimidate you. Some people’s energy is so big you feel like you don’t fit in the room, but with her, I really appreciate how different we are. I love the effect she has on people,” Stewart said. “I find it hilarious. I love watching it happen. I do not have that. Maybe I have something else, but it’s definitely not as visceral. Also, she’s really hilarious,” she added, noting that the Oscar winner uses the more colorful swear words with particular aplomb. “[She] puts me to shame, to be honest,” Stewart said. Jennifer Lopez Hints She May Not Return To ‘American Idol’

‘I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things,’ Lopez says about her ‘Idol’ gig. By Gil Kaufman Jennifer Lopez Photo: MTV News Negotiating tactic or real threat? That’s what eagle-eyed “American Idol” fans were probably wondering on Tuesday after Jennifer Lopez hinted that she might not be back for a third season. Appearing with co-star Cameron Diaz on “Ellen,” to promote her upcoming movie, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” Lopez said she’s had a blast during two seasons on “Idol,” but her time may be up. “I really do enjoy it,” she said after telling DeGeneres she wasn’t sure what her future on “Idol” might be. “Now this is my second year — I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they’re getting more mobile, they’re about to go into school … So I just don’t know.” Lopez joined the show in 2010 for season 10 along with Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler and reportedly makes $12 million a season. And while that’s $2 million more than Christina Aguilera makes on “The Voice,” it is at least $3 million less than new “X Factor” judge Britney Spears will reportedly earn when she makes her debut in the fall. While appearing on “Access Hollywood” on Monday night, Lopez offered some advice to Spears and the other new “Factor” judge, Demi Lovato
. “I was like, ‘Live TV! Eek.’ It’s a big thing to take on, but I think they’re both more than capable to handle it,” Lopez said just hours after Spears and Lovato made it official. “Working with the singers and doing your thing and knowing what you’re talking about from experience, and they both have that,” she said of translating her music business expertise into judging advice. And, after a season in which some critics have said she and Tyler have been exceedingly easy on “Idol” contestants, Lopez also counseled that it’s perfectly okay to root for the good guy. “You don’t have to be tough,” she said. “There’s not one way to do that, reality TV, and those competition shows [are] about being yourself. It’s about being your best self, and I think that’s the most important thing.” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions. Some Nice Jennifer Lopez Side Boobage

I’m not sure how old Jennifer Lopez is now, but banging a young dude seems to really agree with her. Here she is looking good at the What To Expect While You’re Expecting premiere last night. I like it. Especially because I’m getting a pretty solid look at some quality cougar sideboob. Nicely done. Is she even a cougar yet? Who cares, she’s older, she’s hot and her boobs are falling out of her dress. #meetmeinthehottub

Making It Rain On Them Hoes: People Magazine To Pay $800K For First Photos Of Jessica Simpson’s Precious Daughter Maxwell Drew

Cha-Ching! Jessica Simpson will soon have more gwap to cop those precious lil headbands she likes so much for lil Maxwell Drew. People magazine will pay the first-time mom $800,000 to publish exclusive photos of Maxwell Drew Johnson, the pop star’s 2-week-old daughter with fiance Eric Johnson, Women’s Wear Daily reported Friday. Simpson, who gained at least 40 pounds during her pregnancy, also has reportedly inked a $3 million dollar deal to promote Weight Watchers. Though Maxwell may be worth her weight in gold, Simpson’s deal with People falls short of the $6 million the publication reportedly paid Jennifer Lopez for photos of her twins in 2008. Ouch, Max and Emme just made lil Maxie look like she ain’t doin’ isht when it comes to that magazine cover paper! Jessica should still be proud though, she’s probably going to make more off Maxwell’s birth than her last album. Source WENN

Will Jennifer Lopez Leave American Idol?

Hollie Cavanagh may have been eliminated from American Idol last night , but a great deal of buzz surrounding the show afterward centered on Jennifer Lopez and, specifically, her very sexy rendition of “Dance Again.” Alongside boyfriend Casper Smart . “I don’t think we’d work together if we didn’t work well together,” Lopez told Ryan Seacrest this morning about grinding all up on her 25-year old man in front of millions. “It has to be easy or it’s not worth it.” Lopez her certainly made her two years on American Idol worthwhile, using them to kickstart what had been a floundering music career. So we’ll see back for season 12, right? Not so fast. Let the contract negotiating begin “I don’t know,” J. Lo said. “I have some movie things in the works and I have the tour .
