When I say that Jennifer Lopez has still got it, I hope you understand that I’m talking about her fat ass and sweet boobs and not anything that has to do with acting or singing or dancing or anything like that. So we’re all on the same page? Good because here she is taking her talents to the Boys & Girls Club of America the other day. Is it really appropriate to expose children to curves like this at such a young age? Now those poor skinny girls are going to have a hard time in high school. Don’t worry, it gets better once you marry a rich old dude.

Kritics of Kardashian Konfidential have understandably wondered: What could Kourtney, Khloe and Kim possibly reveal in this “sisterhood autobiography?” The siblings blog about every aspect of their lives and let cameras film such intimate moments as a bikini wax . But we’ve (unfortunately) read the book and can state that it actually does contain a few juicy tidbits. Why should the public care about when Khloe lost her virginity? We have no idea. Still, it’s one of several items we learned from the tome and report on below. 1. Khloe gave it up to an older man when she was 14. She used to steal Bruce Jenner’s car and drive to secret sex sessions with this boyfriend, but tells readers NOT to be like her: “You should never, ever have sex when you’re that young,” her ghost writer she writes. “Feeling rushed and pressured and unsure should have been my clue that I wasn’t ready to take that step.” 2. Kourtney needs to be perfect . At least when it comes to organization. She writes about needing everything in her fridge lined up in a certain away; same for glasses and dishes. She also “has to have” pink dish gloves and the same style of hangars throughout the house. 3. Kim has a woman crush on Jennifer Lopez . She describes her first, nervous meeting with the singer/actress and how J. Lo “made me think it was sexy to have a big booty.” Looks like someone will be watching American Idol this season. 4. Kim encourages you to talk to her . Saying she gets “excited” to see fans dressed in her style, this sister adds: “I like being myself, I don’t want to be unapproachable.” This is especially true if you’re famous and/or a professional athlete.

Nigel Lythgoe is one of my favorite forces in reality television, but he announced a big mistake today: American Idol ‘s glorious semifinal rounds are no longer . Instead, this season’s live performances will begin with Top 12 week, and we’ll also be forced to watch as contestants compete in “music video” competitions. Horrifying, indeed. Without the semifinals, Idol loses so much great drama, intimacy, and some of the best performances in the season. Without further ado, let’s show Nigel Lythgoe how much he messed up and revisit Idol ‘s most incredible (and sometimes cringe-worthy) semifinal moments.

A decade into its run, “American Idol” is getting a face-lift courtesy of returning executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. When the 10th season kicks off on January 12, contestants will be faced with a series of new challenges that will make the reshuffling of the judging panel seem tame by comparison. According to an interview with TVGuide.com , Lythgoe has plans to streamline the show while giving contestants challenges that will potentially better prepare them for pop stardom. Among the fresh wrinkles being thrown at the aspiring singers are contests to make the best music videos and promote themselves and a chance to work with a band and dancers for an awards show-style performance. The biggest tweak, however, has to do with the mechanics of the show, namely the elimination of the round of 24 that shrinks the cast down to the final 12. “I didn’t think [the top 24] were very good, I was bored with them by the time they got there,” Lythgoe said. It was not specified, however, if the adjustment means that judges will pick the top 12 or what will replace the shows that formerly made up the early audience voting rounds. So far, Lythgoe said new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are settling in to their gigs and taking the job very seriously. “They both listen intently and don’t make glib remarks,” he said. “They give honest critiques.” At the same time, he noted that sole remaining judge Randy Jackson, best known up until now for his mostly lightweight, catchphrase-heavy critiques, has upped his game. “Randy is pulling his weight,” Lythgoe said. “He really has stepped up. He’s essentially come out of himself. He’s enjoying being in that position.” Among the other new aspects contestants — who can now be as young as 15 — will face are theme weeks that will cover certain decades rather than the catalogs of popular artists and a new in-house mentor in the form of Interscope Geffen A&M Records chairman Jimmy Iovine.
