Penn State, Football Program Rocked by Sex Scandal

The Penn State athletic department is facing serious charges of covering up sexual abuse, following an indictment of former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky on 40 counts, including inappropriate touching and statutory rape. Sandusky, who retired in 1999, is accused of abusing eight boys over a 15-year period; while athletic director Timothy Curley and Vice President of Business and Finance Gary Schultz resigned from the university last night and have been charged with perjury and failure to report Sandusky’s behavior to police. The latter two face seven years in prison if convicted. Sandusky faces life behind bars. Iconic football coach Joe Paterno – who holds the record for most wins in the history of Division I – says an assistant coach told him of an incident between Sandusky and a young male in 2002. He passed that information along to Curley. “If true, the nature and amount of charges made are very shocking to me and all Penn Staters,” Paterno said in a statement. “While I did what I was supposed to with the one charge brought to my attention, like anyone else involved I can’t help but be deeply saddened these matters are alleged to have occurred. “I understand that people are upset and angry, but let’s be fair and let the legal process unfold. In the meantime I would ask all Penn Staters to continue to trust in what that name represents, continue to pursue their lives every day with high ideals and not let these events shake their beliefs nor who they are.”

Jesus Take The Wheel: Toddler Dies After Getting Run Over By Lawnmower That Grandmother Was Driving

This is sad sad: A toddler died this afternoon after he was run over by a riding lawnmower operated by his grandmother. Paramedics and police officers were called to 4150 Navajo Lane at 11:21 a.m. According to the Titusville Police Department, the 19-month-old boy was riding on a trailer attached to the lawnmower. He fell and suffered a head injury. The mower’s blades were engaged at the time of the incident outside the grandmother’s house, detectives said. “He was riding on the lawnmower with Grandma and somehow fell off and was run over,” said Battalion Chief Scott Gaenicke of Titusville Fire & Emergency Services. “We believe the blades of the lawnmower struck the child.” Helicopter operators planned to take the child to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, but the boy’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and the aircraft was diverted to Parrish Medical Center. The toddler died early this afternoon. Titusville police Detective Allen Davies said investigators were trying to figure out how the boy fell. Davies would not release the names of the people involved. “There’s always a possibility” of criminal charges, Davies said. “It will depend on the information we get.” Source More On Bossip! Uh Oh! Shady & Nasty Muhfuggas: Penn State Officials Step Down After Covering Up Jerry Sandusky’s Disgusting Sexual Abuse Of Young Boys

Each and every person involved in allowing Penn State’s Jerry Sandusky to molest young boys need to be locked up: Just hours after stepping down, two high-ranking Penn State administrators face arraignment Monday on charges they lied to a grand jury investigating former defense coordinator Jerry Sandusky and failed to properly report suspected child abuse, a case that has left fans reeling. Late Sunday, after an emergency meeting of the Board of Trustees, university President Graham Spanier announced that Tim Curley, the athletic director, and Gary Schultz, the school’s senior vice president for business and finance, would be leaving their posts. Curley requested to be placed on administrative leave so he could devote time to his defense, and Schultz will be going back into retirement, Spanier said. Both men have maintained they are innocent of any wrongdoing in connection with the probe into whether Sandusky sexually abused eight boys over a 15-year period. State Attorney General Linda Kelly and state police Commissioner Frank Noonan are expected to hold a 1 p.m. news conference about the case Monday a few miles from the Harrisburg district court. The arraignment is scheduled for immediately after that. Sandusky was arrested Saturday on charges that he preyed on boys he met through The Second Mile, a charity he founded for at-risk youths. The charity said in a statement Sunday that Sandusky had had no involvement with The Second Mile programs involving children since 2008, when Sandusky told the foundation that he was being investigation on child-sex allegations.
