The Situation to Guest Star on Bones?

Will The Situation (Mike Sorrentino) from Jersey Shore guest star on Bones? That’s the rumor, as a Jersey Shore-inspired episode is already in the works! The Fox series’ creator, Hart Hanson, says he has approached The Situation to guest star in an October episode modeled, in part, after the MTV hit show. “We’re trying to get The Situation to play a murder victim,” he said. “A guido is killed and Booth and Brennan enter that world to find out what happens.” “We’re not sure if it’ll actually happen or not. Talks are ongoing.” Sources say The Situation would play fitness guru Ritchie “The V” Genero, with the role of Ritchie’s Victoria Gotti-esque mom not cast as of right now. How will Bones star David Boreanaz handle this Situation? “Bones actually understands them because she considers [guidos] to be a tribe,” explains Boreanaz. Adds star Emily Deschanel: “Brennan anthropologically studies them and knows the lingo and the behavior. [She’s] down with the guido stuff.” Aren’t we all by now? The only disappointing thing about this story is that J-Woww hasn’t been also cast as a guidette prostitute and steroids dealer. Deschanel predicts that the episode will be packed with references to the breakout reality hit, noting “I guarantee that there will be a fist pump.” There will be some here if this comes to fruition.

Jersey Shore Cast Re-Ups For Season Three

The Jersey Shore salary controversy seems to have dissipated as quickly as it arose in the first place, with new reports saying the whole cast has re-signed. A rep for the network confirmed Tuesday that all principal castmates have inked new contracts to shoot the show’s third season, save for Angelina Pivarnick. Who? Oh, right, the quote-unquote Kim Kardashian of Staten Island who bailed after one episode last season, then came back, then evidently flaked again. Oh well. Guess she couldn’t hang with the wild times of Snooki, J-Woww, The Situation and friends, who will now bank an impressive $30,000 per episode. That’s up from $5,000 per episode in Season One. FIST-PUMP : They’re back in business. “MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast will be returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season Three,” the network said in a statement. “Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them. Stay tuned for Jersey Shore Season 2 on July 29.” MTV had quite the situation on its hands, as Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Co. demanded a giant raise before allowing cameras to follow their awesome lives. The Situation was the first to re-sign. The rest followed. All water under the polluted bridge now. Let the Jersey Shore quotes , club-hopping, fist-pumping, hair-oiling, fake-tanning and boardwalk brawling begin.

Snooki and the Situation Pull Ahead in Jersey Shore Salary Game

Two Jersey Shore cast members are going rogue after their united strike for a pay raise. Snooki, a.k.a. Schnickers, a.k.a. America’s Schneetheart, a.k.a. a talking McNugget from an ’80s McDonald’s commercial , has struck a deal to be paid “substantially more money than before” for the next Jersey Shore half-season. Her co-star, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, is rumored to receive between $27,500 and $45,000 in his special exclusive deal with MTV. That’s a lot of money to work at a t-shirt shop and point at your abdomen. [ TMZ ]

Enrique Iglesias Wrote Jersey Shore Soundtrack Song ‘In Five Minutes’

By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Enrique Iglesias Photo: MTV News Distracted by his promise to water-ski naked , some of Enrique Iglesias’ fans may have briefly forgotten that he’s featured on the Jersey Shore Soundtrack, which finally came out on Tuesday (July 20). Iglesias collaborated with Pitbull on the GTL-friendly “I Like It.” But when Iglesias stopped by the MTV News offices to dish about his first-ever bilingual album, Euphoria, he revealed how “I Like It” almost didn’t make the soundtrack. “It’s a song I wrote with [producer/songwriter] RedOne. We wrote it in my house, where actually we wrote a lot of [ Euphoria ], and it was done two years ago exactly,” the pop star explained. “I always believed in it. I always thought it was special. I thought it was fun. I thought it wasn’t over-thought. It’s one of those songs you write in five minutes; I guess that’s how a lot of them come about. It’s scary when you think about it because it could have never gone out there.” Luckily for Iglesias and “Shore” fans that didn’t happen. “It could have gotten lost, and fortunately Universal Republic believed in it and they put it out,” he said of his label green-lighting the track that also appears on his Euphoria. Apart from Enrique, some of the other artists featured on the Shore Soundtrack include Lil Jon, LMFAO, Taio Cruz and Akon. Coincidentally, the first season of “Jersey Shore” on DVD — completely uncensored — also came out on Tuesday. Are you glad “I Like It” made the album? Tell us in the comments!
