Old Country, New Adventures: Jersey Shore Cast Stoked For Season 4 in Italy

With the dust settling after an emotional Jersey Shore season finale , all eyes are on Italy, where Season 4 of the MTV show will be filmed as early as mid-April. Having just delivered the best ratings of the three seasons so far, fans are clamoring for more, blowing up the web for news about the fourth season already. We can tell you for a fact that a new season will happen, it will be filmed in Italy, it will air later this year and has already exasperated plenty of people there. Already bombarded with sordid tales of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s soirees with young women, now Italians have to deal with Jersey Shore? Gonna be rough. MTV is scouting locations in Italy for Jersey Shore’s fourth season, which has rankled Italian-American groups. Over there, peeps are just bemused and irritated. “That’s the last thing we need,” one prominent Italian-American commentator told the Wall Street Journal about the prospect of the cast’s trip to the motherland. They’d better get used to it … and hide their young daughters. According to MTV News, the cast members of the show are eagerly anticipating the European trip. Culture shock seems inevitable. Having grown up with wine at the dinner table, most Italians tend to drink in moderation. They also take pride in … social tact. Whether America’s image can be repaired afterward is unclear, but we’ll find out either way. There is clearly no going back now, and the guidos/ettes are stoked. “For some reason, I really want to go on a gondola ride,” Deena Cortese said. “Or I would like if we’re in Rome, I’d like to see the love fountain. ‘Jersey Shore’ Stars ‘Can’t Wait’ To Shoot In Italy

Gondola rides, learning a new language, falling in love: Deena and Vinny tell MTV News their plans for next season and beyond. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Eric Ditzian and Ade Mangum Vinny Guadagnino Photo: MTV News The third season of “Jersey Shore” wrapped on Thursday night, but Seaside’s finest are already planning for the next installment of the show, which will take them to Italy. And that means the cast should probably brush up on their pregos and grazies before they land in the home of delicious spaghetti, fine leather goods and the Pope. “Can’t wait! I honestly can’t wait to get there and see the place,” Deena told MTV News this week. “For some reason, I really want to go on a gondola ride. Or I would like if we’re in Rome, I would like to see the love fountain, so I’m thinking I’ll steal a coin … maybe I’ll fall in love.” Meanwhile, her castmate Vinny told us he’d prepare for the next season of the hit reality series the same way he has for all of the past seasons. “Preparing for Italy is pretty much preparing for any of the other seasons, trying to get in shape, trying to spend some time with my family, chill out, the quiet before the storm,” he said. “I’m excited to be thrown right into the water with whatever language skills I have.” But the cast is also busier than ever with other projects and gigs. Pauly D’s ramping up for the debut of his own reality show , and fans can catch him spinning tunes at his DJ residency at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Vinny got a plum role on “The Hard Times of RJ Berger” and revealed he’s got some musical abilities, saying, “I dabble in music and it’s something I do for fun and if it’s good, it’s good.” No word on whether he’ll pursue that any further, but Vinny did add that he’d love to pursue more acting. “My future is very open. I like to do scripted types of things,” he told us. Snooki and JWoww have followed a somewhat similar path: Both are published authors, and both have appeared on wrestling-type programs. Now there’s chatter the two ladies might get their own show, casting them as reality-TV version of “Laverne and Shirley.” The Situation, of course, is already a budding entrepreneur, with a book and fitness DVD in stores and other deals in the pipeline. Earlier this year, the former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant began working on YOBI.tv’s “Random Talent” Web series with British comedian Ben Green. Jersey Shore Scoop: Tonight’s Episode, Spinoffs, Season Four in Italy

Jersey Shore is headed to Italy to film Season Four this spring, but not before an epic finale this evening. Or at least one that will tie up some loose ends. Co-creator and executive producer SallyAnn Salsano spoke to EW about tonight’s season-ender, the coming international edition, TWO spinoffs and more. There’s certainly a lot to discuss, to let’s get to the excerpts below: On Ronnie and Sammi’s epic fight : “I spent more time with Ronnie crying than I know what to do with. I genuinely love these kids and I get attached.” “As it’s all going down, it’s as real as it gets.” On editing the show : “You guys see seven minutes of [fighting] a week, I’m seeing 14 hours. Once you say something out loud you’re on the hook for it.” “It’s not so much advising them as sometimes throwing it out there as a question during the interviews: “How did this go down? How do you think I see it?” “And sometimes by them talking it out, then it becomes real. Their feelings for each other are so strong that it sometimes overrides right and wrong.” On Sammi leaving, then coming back : “She needed space, she needed to get away. At the time she really didn’t know if she was going to be back.” On Deena’s return : “All signs point to Deena to coming back. The intent was for her to get along with everyone.” Beyond that, “we’re happy with our cast.” On the grossness of this season : “It’s what they’re like. They waited days to call Danny to fix the toilet. I wouldn’t wait that long, but it’s not my house.” On going to Italy : “I think it’s going to be fun. Just getting them there will be entertaining to watch. I have fun watching them go to a store in America.” “I think there everything will be fun. Communication will be funny. It’s a culture that they’re interested in, and it’s probably different than they think.” On Pauly D’s spinoff : “That was so much fun. I never laughed so hard in my life. Both [the Jersey Shore spin-offs] feel very different from Jersey Shore.” “It’s funny to see them in their own world. It’s Pauly in the clubs and his home-life with his best friends, his posse. His head of security, his manager.” On the Snooki and JWoww spinoff : “That’s another one we were in stitches the whole time. I always call it Snooki and JWoww Save the World.” “It’s just letting them loose in the universe. JWoww wants to move out, Snooki has to get out from her parent’s wing, so they move in together.” “It’s real. They’re really buying a house. This is all new to Snooki – buying toilet paper, and paying a bill – things that seem normal to you and I.” On tonight’s season three finale : “Everything you thought about every person comes true. You see everybody’s true colors in a good and bad way.” “You’ll see some resolution. Normally, the last episode is just getting out of the house and saying goodbye. But this episode ties up some loose ends.”

Travie McCoy Says ‘It’s Definitely Time’ For New Gym Class Heroes LP

GCH hope to have their long-awaited Papercut Chronicles II in stores ‘before summer.’ By James Montgomery Travie McCoy Photo: MTV News When Travie McCoy released Lazarus last summer, he did so mainly to provide his fans with a soundtrack to their “good times.” But then McCoy dropped “Billionaire,” hit the road with Rihanna and Ke$ha, released a slew of additional singles and, suddenly, nearly a year after the fact, the “good times” still haven’t stopped. While he’s still happy to let Lazarus breathe, even McCoy knows that it’s time to turn his focus back to his other project, Gym Class Heroes. For more than a year, he’s been talking about the band’s next album, The Papercut Chronicles II, but now, it sounds like he’s entered the homestretch, and he’s happy to tell fans that they’ll finally get to hear the record in 2011. “We’re about 30 to 35 demos deep now. We had a really awesome session right before this tour started, and we got a lot done. We’re definitely in the stages now where we’re definitely picking the cream of the crop. … The songs are starting to take shape and come together,” he said. “We just wrapped a song with Adam Levine called ‘Stereo Hearts’ that came out amazing, so you guys might be hearing that song a lot sooner than you’d think. It’s definitely that time, regardless of how far or how much longer the Lazarus cycle continues to bring out the sexy MILFs, we’re definitely looking to get this record out this year.” As the title implies, PCC II is a sequel to the band’s second album, 2005’s The Papercut Chronicles, and McCoy said the ties go much deeper than just the title alone. “There’s a song tentatively titled ‘Kid Nothing and the Nothing to Kid Abouts,’ and what’s really cool is we’re bringing back a lot of the themes that were on the original Papercut Chronicles, making the connection between the two albums,” he explained. “And this song actually starts off where ‘Kid Nothing vs. the Echo Factor’ ended … the outro of that song starts this song, and it becomes this crazy, like, Nine Inch Nails-sounding thing. Sonically, this record is going to be crazy. And these are just demos. Once we go in and give ’em the Gym Class treatment, it’s a wrap.” And speaking of wrap, the goal now is to wrap up pre-production on the album and hit the studio — with “a couple of guys who I don’t want to reveal just yet,” McCoy smiled — where, at long last, GCH can put PCC II to bed. “In a perfect world, after this tour is over, I have a couple commitments to take care of, but after that, I’m jumping right into the studio,” he said. “So once again, in a perfect world, we’re going to have this record out before summer.” What are you expecting from the new GCH album? ‘Hard Times Of RJ Berger’ Stars Tease Season-Two Premiere

‘Max is going after Miles in a big way,’ Jayson Blair tells MTV News of tonight’s sumo-suit throwdown. By Vanessa WhiteWolf Jayson Blair Photo: MTV News Season one of MTV’s “The Hard Times of RJ Berger” ended with a dramatic cliffhanger that saw RJ leaving his lifelong crush, Jenny, to lose his virginity to friend Lily … in a hospital bed before she flat-lined. But when MTV News spoke with the “Hard Times” stars , they told us what they really can’t wait to see on Thursday’s season-two premiere is what happened after a more violent altercation. “At the very end of season one, Miles beats up Max at the prom,” Jareb Dauplaise, who plays Miles, reminded us. “That’s the last time you see Miles, [he’s] straddling Max Owens and just punching him where you shouldn’t hit a man. So in the opening, you have Miles facing the music with the Max Owens beatdown.” Jayson Blair, who plays the unlucky Max, said, “In the season premiere you find Max very upset with having his balls punched in, and there will be hell to pay for that. And he’s going after Miles in a big way — in a sumo suit.” Dauplaise clarified, “Yes, we end up throwing on the sumo suits and doing a professional wrestling event for charity.” “I’m going to kill him for a good cause, it’s for charity. So whenever charity’s involved, it makes it all right,” Blair laughed. Whether or not Max and Miles can resolve their differences in the ring, Blair told us he’s really focused on what the show can accomplish in its second season. “I honestly had fears about where we were going to go in the second season. I was like, ‘We’ve already pissed off all the parents.’ The comedy is so big and in-your-face, and for this show to be successful, it has to go in that direction and break boundaries, pushing those extremes,” Blair explained. “When I saw those scripts for season two, I said, ‘Yeah!’ We went there in a big way and I’m so excited about it.” Dauplaise, meanwhile, is hoping his character gets some shine of his own in the near future. “Miles is the sidekick, watching RJ get the girl of his dreams in season one, he gets to lose his virginity in season one — Miles is sitting on the side, he wants the same things. Hopefully, we turn it around. I’m excited to see where Miles goes. I want Miles to get laid,” he laughed. ‘Hard Times Of RJ Berger’ Stars Rave About Weezer, Paris Hilton Cameos

‘Jersey Shore’ star Vinny also stops by for new season, which kicks off Thursday at 11 p.m. ET on MTV. By Vanessa WhiteWolf Amber Lancaster Photo: MTV News With the second season of “The Hard Times of RJ Berger” set to return to MTV on Thursday at 11 p.m. ET, the already large ensemble cast is getting past the sophomore slump by adding some star power in the way of some huge guest stars. The first one fans can look forward to seeing is “Jersey Shore” star Vinny Guadagnino, who plays RJ’s cousin in the March 28 episode. Jareb Dauplaise, who co-stars as RJ’s sidekick Miles, told MTV News: “To get Vinny on the show is funny, because the episode is titled ‘My Cousin Vinny.’ So what more would you want than the most famous Vinny I think we got right now? So we are finally going to learn how to GTL from the original GTL member himself.” Jayson Blair, who plays RJ and Miles’ archenemy Max, admitted, “You see these [reality] shows and you don’t know what to expect because people are always different. I talked to him here and there at events, but when he came onto set, he was super focused and super dedicated and really passionate about acting, which I couldn’t be more excited for. And he was great.” Fellow reality star Paris Hilton also dropped by the set, to the delight of Dauplaise and his family. “Paris Hilton comes on the show, and I was lucky enough to have the scene with her, and Paris is great,” Dauplaise gushed. “She’s beautiful, and my mom’s a big fan of Paris Hilton. Actually, my mom got to meet Paris, and they got along great!” And Weezer, whose Pinkerton album provides the name of the show’s fictional high school , also make an appearance in the new season. “It’s actually the one band that I’ve never gotten the chance to see live until I met them on the show, and of course I was like, ‘Hey can I please get some tickets? You know, come see you guys for free?’ ” said self-proclaimed “huge” Weezer fan Dauplaise. “Rivers Cuomo is great. Got to go with Paul [who plays RJ Berger] to the set of ‘Magic,’ the video Weezer shot with B.o.B, and it was great to meet them all. Just so cool to look at these guys that you’ve been listening to for over a decade now.” Amber Lancaster almost didn’t make the cut for Weezer’s big scene. “I was, like, so mad, because I was originally not in that script, and I was like, ‘I want to be at that concert! I love Weezer!’ So they wrote me into that episode. That was cool.
