Teresa Giudice Gets Raided: Christmas Gifts SEIZED By Government Agents?!

It’s been a rough few months for Teresa Giudice, and if the latest tabloid report out of Jersey is any indication, things may have just gotten much worse. As you’ve likely heard, Teresa and Joe Giudice were convicted of fraud back in March. In addition to being sentenced to federal prison time, Teresa and Joe will be forced to pay back hundreds of thousands of dollars in restitution. They’ve already made a big dent in their debt to the government, thanks to a huge payday from their pre-prison interview with Andy Cohen . But apparently the feds still feel the couple is hiding assets (which is exactly what landed them in trouble in the first place). Radar Online is reporting that the Giudice’s home was raided yesterday after Teresa and Joe failed to set up a restitution payment plan in a timely fashion. Government agents entered the Montville, NJ mansion while Teresa was home, and left with thousands of dollars in property: “Plasma televisions, expensive jewelry, cash, and even the kids Christmas presents were taken,” says one insider. “Teresa was home and was absolutely stunned by the raid. She had no clue they were coming. She was absolutely hysterical, and begging them not to take the girls’ Christmas presents.” In addition to the gifts and other valuables, the source says “a large amount of cash” was discovered in the Giudices’ basement. The property will reportedly be auctioned off, and whatever money is left over will be used to help pay off the Giudices’ several million dollar debt to their creditors. Teresa has been sentenced to 15 months in prison, and will begin serving her sentence on January 5. It was only a few short years ago that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was running wild on the boardwalks of the Jersey Shore, hooking up with anything with a pulse, and single-handedly causing statewide tequila shortages. Needless to say, a lot has changed in the days since the world world first met the pint-sized guidette. Snooki is now a mother of two, and as of today, a married woman. Snooki and Jionni LaValle got engaged back in 2012, and they finally made it official today in a lavish Gatsby-themed ceremony in East Hanover, New Jersey. Snooks broke the news just moments a go with a tweet reading, “I DO! I’m officially married to Jionni!” Snooki gave birth to her second child just three months ago, but recent photos showed the bride-to-be in what looked to be the best shape of her life. Just 12 days after giving birth, Snooki shared a post pregnancy photo that showed off a remarkably trim figure. Several sources have remarked on how calm the the new Mrs. LaValle seemed in the days leading up to her wedding: “I have different priorities now,” Snooki told Us magazine this week. “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. I just enjoy the moment and I try to be positive about everything.” Snooki and Jionni met in 2010, and she joked that she’d eventually marry him just days after going public with the relationship. Just because Teresa Giudice is headed to prison , doesn’t mean she’s done making a buck off of Bravo! Production insiders have revealed to Radar Online that Teresa and her family are currently filming the seventh season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, which will document her final weeks as a free woman. “It was a no brainer for Teresa to decide to do the show,” says one source. “She obviously needs the money to pay off mounting debts. The producers were thrilled because it will result in a ratings bonanza.” There’s no word yet on exactly how much she’s getting paid, but considering Teresa’s salary for past seasons has exceeded $500,000, it’s a safe bet that filming between now and January should enable the Giudices to pay off the remainder of their six-figure restitution. In addition to participating in what’s likely to be her final season of RHONJ, Teresa is planning a pre-prison Christmas special that will allow her to “say goodbye” to her fans before beginning her sentence on January 5. In an unprecedented move for the network, Bravo has reportedly agreed to pay Teresa’s four daughters for their time on camera during the coming months. Ever since news broke that Jacqueline Laurita will return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey , reaction from fans and current cast members has been decidedly mixed. With Teresa Giudice headed to prison for 15 months , producers were left with few options with regard to women who are available and might be able to bring a tenth of the drama that Queen T brought to the table. Laurita seemed a safe – if not perfect – choice, but now it seems that adding her to the cast may have left execs with another vacancy to fill. Sources say Dina Manzo was furious to learn Laurita will be returning to the show, and now it looks like her anger may have prompted her to quit the series. Asked by a fan on Twitter if she had any interest in returning to the show next season, Dina promptly tweeted back, “NONE my soul can’t bear to be around terrible people.” Given the reports about Dina’s outrage over Jacqueline’s return, it’s safe to assume that Laurita is one of the “terrible people” she’s referring to. Of course, it’s possible Dina was fired and is now trying to save face, but either way, it looks as though yet another Manzo won’t be returning to the Housewives franchise.
