The unidentified Montclair woman jolted awake at 4:50 a.m. on Thursday and found herself staring straight into the eyes of a shirtless man. “Are you ready for me?” the intruder asked, standing at the foot of her bed in nothing but blue jeans. The terrified woman screamed at the top of her lungs, while the man walked “casually” out the apartment’s back door, The Star-Ledger reports. Detective-Sergeant Wilhelm B. Young said the intruder never attempted to move closer or touch the woman. The woman told cops she may have left the back door of her Pine Street apartment building open that night. The intruder is described as 30 to 40 years old, very thin and wearing “some sort of head wear.” We’re glad she’s okay. The stranger in the house scenario is no bueno. But the company has finally struck out, at least as far as New Jersey residents are concerned. Following a number of complaints on its Facebook page, Dove has pulled it Armpit of America billboard, which joked about the Garden State’s nickname and read: “Dear New Jersey, When People call you ‘The Armpit of America,’ take it as a compliment. Sincerely, Dove.” Unique? Yes. Funny? To most people. Offensive? Heck yes, according to folks in Jersey. “Memo to Dove advertising (aka idiots): good luck selling in NJ. I will not buy a Dove product again,” wrote one Facebook user, expressing a sentiment held by many. Explained Matthew McCarthy – senior marketing director of antiperspirants and deodorants at Unilever, the company that owns Dove – of the campaign: “We did not wish to cause any misunderstanding and apologize for any offense. Jimmy Fallon will kick off his stint as host of The Tonight Show with one of the world’s biggest movie stars and one of its most popular music acts. The comedian – who teamed with Bruce Springsteen last week to mock Chris Christie’s bridge scandal – announced yesterday that Will Smith and U2 will be featured on his February 17 debut. NBC will replace Jay Leno with Fallon at midnight following the Winter Olympics. He will then slide into his regular time slot a week later, with Seth Meyers taking over Late Night.
