Jessa Duggar on Raising Two Kids: It’s SO Chaotic!

If you watch Counting On online , you know that the Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are taking her parents’ approach to family planning and seem to be in a race to hit double-digit offspring before they turn 30. Back in February,  Jessa welcomed her second child , a boy named Henry Wilberforce. Henry’s arrival came just 15 months after the birth of Jessa’s first son , Spurgeon. So these days, Jessa and husband Ben Seewald are raising two kids under the age of two – an undertaking that no doubt puts their patience to the test on a daily basis. Jessa isn’t one to complain (We’re pretty sure Duggar women are trained from a young age to keep perma-grins affixed to their faces at all times.), but in a preview for Monday’s episode of Counting On , the 24-year-old confesses that her situation can be trying at times. “I kind of expected it to be a challenge going from one to two kids — I feel like every day is different,” Jessa says in the clip. “Some days it’s very, very simple. Other days, it’s a little more chaotic.” We imagine “a little more chaotic” is Jessa’s euphemistic way of saying there are days when she looks at the pile of dirty diapers and wants to rip her hair out by the roots. Things are a bit less hectic on Ben Seewald’s end, as the Duggars’ have basically added an 11th commandment to their Bible that forbids men from lifting a finger around the house. But being unemployed and under no obligation to assist in the raising of his children didn’t stop Ben from offering his own two cents on life in the Seewald household: “Since Henry’s birth, things have been a little more busy in the Seewald house,” Ben tells producers in the preview. “One adjustment going from one child to two is there are so many diapers and they pile up so fast. We gotta take the trash out a lot more often.” We’re guessing Jessa cracked and let out a terrifying Heath Ledger Joker laugh when she heard Ben complain about taking the trash out more often. If she didn’t, she deserves some sort of prize. Ben should probably go ahead and get a job before Jessa disappears with the kids and goes full Gone Girl on his ass. Jill & Jessa Duggar: Look at Izzy & Baby Henry! Don’t Worry About Josh Duggar!

Those of us without Hulu who can’t watch The Handmaid’s Tale can always keep up with the Duggars. It’s basically the same. Aside from things like scandals, the usual reality show drama, and questions about the Duggar family’s finances , the Duggars are known for having kids. That’s kind of their whole thing. And while their fringe cultural stuff and the way that they separate themselves from the world make plenty of people uncomfortable — heck, the sheer number of children make people uncomfortable — you kinda have to admit that they produce some cute kids. That’s two-year-old Israel, Jill and Derick Dillard’s cutie, snuggling with his baby cousin, Henry. Henry, of course, is Jessa and Ben Seewald’s baby. And yes, he is adorable. Israel’s going to be a big brother, so this shameless photo-op is also a good sign that he’s excited at the prospect. Everybody outside of restaurants and airplanes loves babies, right? But it’s especially important for older siblings to feel that hype. Now, Henry’s a pretty run-of-the-mill name, almost surprisingly so for this family. Israel’s a little more on-brand for Duggar names, but it’s not totally unheard of. The abbreviation of his name to “Izzy” in a family that places so much emphasis on specific gender roles is kind of a surprise. For that lot, it’s downright progressive. Neither of those names can hold a candle to Spurgeon, Henry’s one-year-old brother. There’s no telling how many people have betting pools going for how old he’ll be before he changes his name. Like these kids weren’t going to have a hard enough time growing up in a fertility cult in front of millions of viewers. Cute kids are fine and well, but we have to remember that this family still has its issues. Take, gasp , Jinger’s controversial wearing of pants . Like some kind of harlot. You know, because she’s a girl, and if people know that girls have actual legs they’ll turn to stone or fly into lustful frenzies. Or something. That kind of thinking was considered dated back in the 1930s, and it is now 2017, no matter how hard the Duggar family drags its heels. Then of course there’s the ominous news of Josh Duggar appearing on Counting On , because the sexual predator who got that family’s first show canceled totally needs more screen time. We’re all supposed to look at some cute kids and pretend that Josh’s creepy actions have magically gone away? What’s worse, his family seemed to think that his predatory past wasn’t as big of an issue as the Josh Duggar cheating scandal or even using pornography. Just because this family seems eager to forgive and forget in exchange for more lucrative reality television contracts doesn’t mean that the rest of are going to. Kim Zolciak Shares Heartbreaking Photo of Son After Dog Attack

A couple of weeks ago, Kim Zolciak took a break from being absolutely ridiculous when her four-year-old son, Kash, was attacked by a dog . Kash required emergency surgery after the attack, and, like any mother would be, Kim was in an absolute state. The incident happened a little over two weeks ago now, and as she’s told us, poor little Kash is healing nicely . But Kim just gave us a new update, along with a photo of what the boy’s face looks like right now. And honestly, it’s one of the most pitiful things we’ve ever seen. Along with the photo, Kim wrote “Kash and our entire family want to Thank each and everyone of you for all your prayers!” “Kash has healed up incredibly and has perfect vision in his left eye. Stitches on his water line, and his eyeball was never touched! God is Good!” “We are so incredibly thankful and blessed,” she continued. “In no time he will heal up perfectly and you will never know this happened!” “So thankful to Dr. Joseph Williams (chief of plastic surgery) and Dr. Berland (Tomas Eye Group) their quick decisions and impeccable work doesn’t go unnoticed. THANK YOU.” Kim touchingly added “Kash has taught me so much through this experience. When life hands you lemons make Lemonade.” She also tacked on the hashtags “I Believe In Angels” and “God Is So Good.” What a wonderful update, right? Judging by the injuries we see in this photo, things could have obviously been so much worse — as Kim pointed out, he easily could have lost an eye. But, as she told us in her last update, “He will have no physical problems once he is fully healed and we are confident his mental and emotional state is healing back to its original state as well.” So much good news! Of course, Kim also took the opportunity to share a new photo of herself — the one above — after her latest update. For this one, she wrote “Happy, Thankful, and Blessed” — get it, because she’s sharing a selfie because she’s happy, not because she can’t bare to go without attention on herself for any substantial amount of time. Duggar Fans to Josh: We Forgive You For Molesting Your Sisters!

On May 21, it will be two years since the world learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls , four of whom were his sisters. The actual crimes took place several years earlier, of course, but Josh’s parents assisted him in avoiding prosecution and keeping his predatory ways under wraps. At the time, it was widely believed that the Duggars’ stint as reality television stars had come to an end. Surely, it was thought, no public figures could recover from such a revolting scandal, and for a time, it seemed that the public was right. Advertisers began cutting ties with TLC en masse , and eventually the network read the writing on the wall and canceled 19 Kids and Counting , the show that made the Duggars famous. Amazingly, however, the Duggar PR machine kept on churning, and between the family’s tireless efforts and the cultish devotion of their most die hard fans, Jim Bob Duggar – the Kris Jenner of the Bible Belt – was eventually able to finagle a second series out of the network. Counting On premiered in March of 2016 on TLC, and this time around, the Duggars were bound by a new set of guidelines and restrictions: The network reportedly demanded that the show focus solely on the lives of the eldest Duggar daughters with no appearances by Jim Bob and Michelle. (That rule was violated almost immediately.) Most importantly, of course, TLC execs demanded that Josh Duggar never appear on the series. The family seemed to recognize the necessity of that rule, and they’ve gone to awkward lengths to keep Josh off camera . But the 29-year-old sexual predator still makes appearances on the Duggar family’s official Facebook page, and one recent throwback photo has prompted some troubling reactions from Counting On fanatics: The image is a “throwback” to 2003, around the time when Josh was subjecting his young sisters to his revolting advances. Bizarrely, it seemed to make some fans of the family nostalgic: “What a great picture!! What a great tree limb too!! It would be nice to see a new one!! Love you guys and hope to see the WHOLE family back on TV soon!!” commented one fan. “Miss the WHOLE family!” wrote another. The implication is quite clear, of course. Obviously, there’s a contingent of fans who believe the punishment of not being a television star anymore is too harsh for the crime of serial child molestation. Thankfully, however, there are those who recognize the severity of Josh’s misconduct and remain vocal in their belief that he and his parents got off much, much too easy: “I was like ‘oh nice photo’ and then I realized what those poor girls were probably going through and it started making me sick,” wrote one follower. “Back when they were getting touched over the clothes,” echoed another, referring to the Duggars’ argument that Josh’s crimes were less severe as he only groped his sisters “over the clothes.” It’s astonishing that the family has been given another chance at stardom after one of the most repugnant scandals in television history went public. Jessa Duggar to Joy-Anna Duggar: CONGRATULATIONS!

The Duggars are officially set to welcome yet another family member. Which of these reality stars is pregnant now , you may be wondering? No one, at least not as of this writing. But Joy-Anna Duggar is engaged to Austin Forsyth , with the 19-year old daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle confirming the exciting news herself just a few days ago. “We just got engaged!” Joy-Anna told Us Weekly in early March. “I’m so excited to be engaged to my best friend.” The two have known each other for 15 years, but only just started courting in mid-November. “I'm so excited to be engaged because that means the next step is marriage,” Joy-Anna added, explaining the engagement concept for those unaware of how it works and adding: “I’m excited to see what the future holds for us!” And Joy-Anna isn't the only Duggar who feels this way. Jessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald recorded a sweet video last night to congratulate Jim Bob and Michelle's fifth-oldest daughter on her new relationship status. “Hey, Joy and Austin, congratulations,” Ben says in the clip, which features him holding 16-month old son Spurgeon and Jessa cradling one-month hold son Henry. Jessa then directs her attention to Joy-Anna and Austin, who are even holding hands now , and chimes in as follows: “We’re super excited for y’all getting engaged, and we are looking forward to the big day – your wedding day. The little boys say congratulations too.” Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard had previously sent well wishes to the engaged couple via their own TLC-produced video. “Hey Joy and Austin, congratulations. We just heard the good news on the engagement,” Derick says in that piece of footage. “Yeah, we’re so excited for you all!” Jill adds. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald: Already Planning Baby #3!

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald welcomed their second child February 6, but they’re already talking about growing their brood once more. Too soon? For regular people, most likely. Would you expect anything less though? The couple’s second little boy arrived just 15 months after they became parents to Spurgeon Elliot and 26 months after they tied the knot. Soon after the child’s birth last week, we learned that Jessa Duggar baby name selections aren’t getting any more ordinary with time: Henry Wilberforce Seewald has arrived. So far, the young couple seems to be in good spirits when it comes parenting both boys, attributing it to their ability to tag-team them.  There’s one for each adult, after all. “I take one. He takes the other,” Jessa tells unofficial Duggar publication  People , which features the family in its new cover story this week. Ben added a sports metaphor: “Right now with two kids and two of us , it’s man-to-man coverage. When we have more, we’ll have to switch things up to a zone defense!” As Jessa has previously said, Ben is super psyched about having little boys close in age with whom he can play sports with in the future. Clearly it’s on his brain already! As far as when that zone defense is going to be necessary, we feel safe in guessing that it won’t be all that long in the grand scheme. Especially not if they adopt. Jessa told the magazine, “It will be a little while since we just had a baby, but adopting and fostering to adopt is very much in our hearts.”  The Counting On stars have asserted their desire to adopt children many times before, going back to when they had no kids yet even. None of her mother Michelle’s 19 kids are adopted, but this has been something Jessa has long been passionate about, as has Ben. Having been married two years, their efforts to do so will be looked upon more favorably by adoption agencies, which is another bonus. One obstacle, though? Their house. It’s small, and when you’re planning on breeding or adopting an entire football team, you need additional square footage. No matter how good you are at economizing space, this is just a reality, and according to Jessa, they may be planning to do an upgrade. Jessa, 24, revealed as much, telling  People  that it’s fine now, but, “We just need a little more space. We’re always checking the market!”  You never know when your dream house will come along, it’s true. But does that mean they’re actively planning baby number three? “It’s certainly within the realm of possibilities. But still, we’ll wait just a couple of months before we start speculating again,” she said. There you have it, everyone. Big families are great, but relax and give them at least a couple of months before she gets pregnant or they adopt another kid, okay? They just had a baby! Chill! Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald: See Their First Family (of Four) Photo!

It’s 2 & Counting for Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald who welcomed a baby boy – their second son – earlier this week. While we still don’t know the name of Spurgeon’s little brother (it’s possible Jessa and Ben don’t), we have seen a photo and video. And now, a photo of the new family of four!  The couple welcomed their newborn son Monday, and his big brother Spurgeon, 15 months, is supposedly super excited about this. To the point that he understands, at least. If you watch Counting On online , you know full well that they didn’t reveal the gender until the little boy entered the world at 4:26 a.m. Weighing in 8 lbs. and 11 oz. and measuring 21 3/4 in. long, he was a good-sized boy like his brother, and he and his mom are healthy. “Mom and baby are both doing well,” said the duo in a statement that morning. “We are so thankful to God for this precious new gift of life.” “We are excited to be a family of four!” And here are those four together … Jessa, 24, and Ben, 21, who have been married since November 2014, have also been open about their desire to adopt in the future. Her recent labor may fuel that too. “I was teasing him when I was in labor,” Jessa recalls. “I don’t really think I was teasing, actually, I told him while I was in labor.” “‘Babe, we are not having any more kids after this,'” she recalls telling Ben in the head of the moment. “We are adopting all the rest!” We find it hard to believe that they’re done with biological kids already, but Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald adopting is not a new topic. The couple has discussed since before Spurgeon was born, and having now been married two years, state policies will be more favorable. Tired but beaming Jessa and Ben also introduced their second child on video  today, proudly showing him off to fans for the first time. Jessa said in the aforementioned video, which you can watch via the link above, that she couldn’t be happier to have a second son: “We are so excited to introduce our little baby boy to the world. I think it’s really awesome that we have two little boys so close together in age.” “I know they’re going to be best friends and love growing up and doing everything together, so I’m looking forward to seeing that. “I know Ben’s probably going to have them out in the backyard playing football in the next couple of years!” Jessa added of their son. They did know it was a son, BTW. They just didn’t share. “It was definitely a challenge trying to keep the gender a secret,” added Ben, who says this one will likely also end up with a unique name. Just like the first one, they haven’t settled on anything. Ben and Jessa famously didn’t reveal Spurgeon’s name for days … because until he was born and they got to know him, he didn’t have one. It looks like this time, they’re repeating that pattern. “When the baby was finally born and we got to hold him for the first time, I started crying,” said Jessa. “I think Ben had tears in his eyes.” “We want to thank everyone for their love and prayers and support for us during this labor and delivery,” added Jill’s younger sister. Amusingly, fans and several Duggar family members themselves tried to guess the gender and they overwhelmingly predicted a girl. So much for those old wives tales about the size and position of a pregnant woman’s stomach giving away the gender, are we right? Naturally, fans have been making predictions online regarding the name as well, but we doubt anyone will get it right for obvious reasons. Need we remind you their first pic was Spurgeon? In any case, all of us at THG are thrilled for the couple, and are setting the over/under on their next baby’s arrival at January 5, 2019.  Those adoption papers take awhile, you know? Jessa Duggar: See Her New Baby’s Video Debut!!!

Say what you will about the Duggars, but they sure do make some sweet babies. And we know that because Jessa Duggar just gave birth to her second baby , a precious little boy, two days ago, and we've already got an official video of the little guy from TLC! How do these people have time for things like this? Jessa has a one-year-old and a newborn, how is she functioning this well? How is she at home and looking this good so soon after having this baby? We don't have the answers to all these questions, and honestly, we don't need them. Not when we've got that adorable little baby to look at! But we're not the only ones tearing up over how darling all of this is — obviously, right? How weird would that be? In Baby Seewald #2's intro video here, Jessa says that “When the baby was finally born and we got to hold him for the first time, I started crying. And I think Ben had tears in his eyes.” She says that she's excited to have two little boys so close in age so they can “be best friends” and enjoy playing together. As for the new kid's name, they still haven't decided on one yet . Ben says that he's “probably going to have a unique name, sort of like Spurgeon's,” but there's nothing official yet. Counting On Season 3 Episode 2 Recap: Is Jessa Duggar Having Twins?!

How many babies are Ben and Jessa Seewald expecting? Last night,  Counting On Season 3 Episode 2  finally answered that burning question among card carrying members of Duggar Nation. If you  watch Jill & Jessa Counting On online , you know that twins run in her family. Jessa’s mom Michelle Duggar had two pair, in fact. It’s also no secret that Jessa and Ben Seewald love hyping up their pregnancy reveals, so this storyline was part for the course. They attempted, with the assistance of Jill, to find out if it’s twins. Jill asked, “Well Jess, do you want to listen to your little baby’s heartbeat?” Jill, who’s trained as a midwife, admitted that she gets some enjoyment out of this as well: “It’s fun to get my hands on her belly.” Jessa couldn’t help but smile widely. “I haven’t really been showing so it’s nice to know there’s a baby in there,” the 18-weeks-pregnant TLC star laughed. “I’m not just sick!” “Not having an ultrasound, we don’t know if it’s twins,” Jessa added. “We think it’s one, [but] you never know” until you know. Twins or not, “this pregnancy has been different than my first pregnancy in many ways,” Jessa opened up during a confessional interview. “I’ve had way more food aversions and certain things like coffee, chicken, popcorn, random things – we couldn’t even have them in the house.” “I didn’t have that with Spurgeon.” “Ben and I both feel like it’s a boy,” she adds. “I don’t know why. When we found out we were expecting, we both just thought it was a boy!” Boy or girl, twins or not, the latest Duggar is scheduled to arrive next month, and the couple is over the moon about the new arrival. And likely the fact that they just milked material for almost an entire episode of their reality show without making any significant reveals. That takes talent, people. If we’ve learned anything watching the Duggars over the years, it’s that they love pickles as much as they hate full-frontal hard core hugging. A LOT, to say the absolute least. Fittingly, then, Jinger Duggar made plans to have a “relish bar” (i.e. trays of pickles) on her wedding day, when the side hugs cease! With an expected 1,200 guests, that means an a– ton of pickles, cheese, crackers, meatballs, coffee and more to serve the people. Showing her sense of humor, Jinger pranked Jeremy on FaceTime, saying she was going to sing to him while they lit their unity candle. Jeremy paused awkwardly before Jinger and her sisters broke down and revealed that they’d pulled one over on the pastor from Texas. We would pay to see that. View Slideshow: 13 Things BANNED in the Duggar Family Ben and Jessa, when they’re not having kids and talking about whether or not it’s twins, are friends with Christian hip-hop artist Flame. Laugh if you want, but Flame has built up a nice following. The friendship Ben and Jessa have with the rapper and his wife may also be why Seewald has developed a reputation for being “woke.”  “I’m probably not going to have a career in music,” Ben admitted, having tried his hand in the studio at one point. “At least, not rapping.” “Personally, I think Ben is pretty good at spittin’ some bars,” Jessa said, with a degree of sarcasm and massive amounts of street cred. Lack of talent aside, that doesn’t mean they can’t be fans, though, and Ben, Jessa and Spurge decided to go see Flame perform live. Don’t worry, Spurge had noise-canceling headphones. He was a little nervous about going out there, but just like a lot of situations in life, the only way to conquer that fear is to do it head on. “Don’t fall off the stage,” Jessa advised her husband. Just “don’t trip over any of the cables … go for it.”  Words to live by when spraying a sweaty crowd.

Jessa Duggar: Baby #2 Is on the Way!

For reasons that we’re not completely clear on, there’s been a wealth of speculation surrounding  Jessa Duggar’s second pregnancy . And we don’t mean “boy or girl? What will she name it?” speculation. We mean “rumors that  Jessa’s due date is a lie designed to manipulate fans and boost ratings” speculation. Perhaps having caught wind of this latest weirdness, the Duggars posted a brief pregnancy update on their official blog today. Beneath side-by-side photos of Jessa’s fist and second pregnancies, the Duggars had this to say: (Warning: Possible spoilers for Counting On Season 4 beyond this point.) ” The photo on the left shows Jessa in October 2015 when she was 36 weeks pregnant with Spurgeon Seewald, and the picture on the right is how she looks now. “Spurgeon will be 15 months old when the new baby arrives. Jessa and Ben are keeping the gender of their unborn child a secret, like they did with their first pregnancy. “Do you think they are expecting a boy or a girl? Do you have any name suggestions? ” As instructed, the Duggar faithful proceeded to offer their predictions in the comments section. Most seem to be of the belief that Jessa is having a girl, but that seems to have less to do with pseudo-science about the shape of her belly, and more to do with the belief that the Duggars wouldn’t be holding this side-by-side guessing game if the they already knew that the hid is a boy. Anyway, the rumors about Jessa misleading the public about her due date seem to have died down, which is great, because they made no damn sense to begin with. But we suppose that’s the problem with making your living off major events in your personal life like weddings and births.
