According to the Howard County Police Department, three people were found gunned down at the the Mall in Columbia, with one of the deceased located near a gun and ammunition. The dead have not been publicly identified. The police department said via Twitter around 12:36 p.m. that the scene is believed to be secure. A news conference is expected at 1:15 p.m. The Howard County Police said that the fire department and police are currently on the scene. The police department announced via Twitter around 1:26 p.m. that two more victims with “minor injuries” that were not directly related to the shooting were transported to a local hospital. But behind the brilliant smile was a life of torment and pain. According to police, Ghanson was burned by his mom with a lighter when he urinated on the floor. He was beaten with an aluminum broom handle when he soiled himself. He was hurled across a room and hit a table. The abuse went on until he could endure no more. He died Tuesday. The sordid details spilled out Wednesday through police reports and the testimony of a North Miami detective, a day after Ghanson’s mother, Fafane Caze, 21, was arrested on charges of aggravated child abuse and torture. The judge tacked on another charge of attempted felony murder, Wednesday, which kept her in jail with no bond. A murder charge is pending as the medical examiner’s office catalogs the toddler’s injuries. “If anybody deserves the additional charge she deserves it,” said North Miami Maj. Family Of 8-Year-Old Hero Feuding Over Fundraiser Money via Fox News Ugly words between relatives of an 8-year-old upstate New York boy who died last weekend trying to save his family are marring an outpouring of hometown sympathy — and financial support. Tyler Doohan’s heartbreaking heroism made national headlines after he alerted his family to a fire in his grandfather’s trailer near Rochester early Monday. Fire officials credit him with saving six family members, but he died when he went back in to save his disabled uncle. Now, an extended family squabble is compounding the tragedy after more than $50,000 poured in from around the country, thanks to an online campaign set up by a neighbor. “My intention was to pay for the memorial service,” said Theresa Fiorica, 28, a friend and neighbor of Tyler’s mother, Crystal Vrooman, whose initial goal was to raise $5,000 to cover the boy’s funeral expenses. “I didn’t think that it was going to go as far and as big as it did.” “My son is the greatest kid I’ve ever known. Use [the money] the right way, on what Tyler would want it to be spent on.” – Jason Doohan, father of Tyler Doohan The funds are in an online account set up through the website YouCaring.com. Although they are earmarked specifically to “give this baby the service he deserves,” the account names Vrooman as the beneficiary. I want a nice house [as] I have always been telling the kids, and to give my kids a great school district.” But other members of the splintered family, including Vrooman’s ex-boyfriend and Tyler’s father, Jason Doohan, say they don’t trust Vrooman to do the right thing. “My actual fear is that she is not going to use the money properly,” Doohan said. “My son is the greatest kid I’ve ever known. Freaky is one thing, but this is some OTHER isht Teen Facing Murder Charges In Death Of Boyfriend During Sex Via USAToday A 16-year-old girl arrested Saturday in connection with strangling her 43-year-old boyfriend during sexual activities will face trial as an adult after officials agreed to charge her with second-degree murder, according to court documents. On Saturday night police were called to an apartment complex after they received a call from Tracey Woodside, Jessica Burlew’s mother, stating that she believed her daughter’s boyfriend, Jason Ash, was dead. Glendale police say Burlew used an electrical wire to choke Jason Ash during what she claimed to be a consensual sex act. When Ash seemed to have passed out, Burlew told officers she cut him with a razor to get him to respond. She told officers that she continued to cut him to relieve her own stress, according to the documents. Ash was declared dead at about 5:45 p.m., according to the documents. Burlew told police she and Ash would often engage in these types of activities prior to sex, according to the documents. Good ol’ fashioned “regular sex” just isn’t good enough for some folks nowadays… Burlew told Woodside that her and Ash were playing sex games and he was cut on the arms and strangled with an electrical cord. Burlew claims he did not say the “safety word.” Woodside returned to the apartment to find Ash lying on the bed with a cord around his neck and cuts all over his body. She left with Burlew to call 911 and, with help from dispatch, began to give chest compressions. Burlew fled the scene. Burlew then returned to a neighboring apartment where she was identified by a resident and taken into custody by Glendale police. Burlew was interviewed by police and admitted to causing the death of Ash by consensual strangulation. She claimed they engaged in acts like these often before sex. Burlew also admitted to cutting Ash with a razor blade after she strangled him to try and get a response out of him after she thought he had passed out. 84-Year-Old Man Brutally Beaten By Police For Jaywalking Police brutality has been a long-running problem in the United States and this latest incident involving an elderly man who was brutally beaten by the NYPD is just as disturbing as the rest. Think Progress An 84-year-old man was left bloodied and hospitalized after an incident with New York police officers — over a stop for jaywalking. Witnesses told the New York Post the police brutally beat him, while New York Police Commissioner Bill Bratton contends Kang Wong incurred the injuries from a fall. In response to the death of Sarah Lee, a pedestrian killed earlier that day in the Upper West Side neighborhood, officers were patrolling the area as a safety precaution, writing $250 tickets for pedestrians caught violating the law. After Wong was seen crossing an intersection illegally, an officer made him stand against a nearby wall while writing a ticket. || According to eyewitness Ian King, Wong did not understand the officer due to a language barrier, and attempted to walk away from the scene. The officer tried to pull Wong back to the wall, and “that’s when he began to struggle with the cop,” King explained. Additional cops entered the scene and started beating the elderly man — an attack that “left [Wong] bloody and dazed.” Wong was then placed in handcuffs and escorted to St. Luke’s Hospital, after which he was brought to the 24th Precinct station house. He ultimately needed four staples in his head. On Monday morning, he was issued a desk-appearance ticket after being charged with “resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct,” in addition to jaywalking. His son, a 41-year-old lawyer, claims he was given little information after receiving a phone call from officers inquiring about his father’s medication. The police refused to tell him where Wong was located for hours, he said, before he was finally able to locate him on his own. SMH! Just ridiculous….these pigs really have got to be stopped. Oakland Mother Grieves After Two Teenage Sons Murdered 19 Days Apart This is sad and crazy, but unfortunately the harsh reality if we do not get this gun violence under control , pronto. Via NBC Bay Area: An Oakland mother has no more children left after gun violence claimed both of her two sons’ lives. Her youngest son, who was only 13 years old, was gunned down on New Year’s Eve on 104th avenue near Walnut Street. Her oldest son was shot and killed Sunday, near the intersection of 100th Avenue and Longfellow, 19 days after her 13-year-old was killed. “Hopefully the community people will come forward,” Dinyal New said, “because how can a mother experience two losses within 19 days? Both her kids. It’s horrible.” New said no words can describe her grief. She is mourning the death of her 19-year-old son Lamar Broussard less than a week after burying her youngest son, Lee Weathersby. He was only 13 years old. “Somebody’s failing these kids,” New said. “They feel like it’s OK to murder these kids. They have no remorse or understanding afterwards.” Harris’s mother Tameka Rothchild is in shock. “I love my son, and unfortunately people out here are heartless,” Rothchild said. “They don’t have no morals. They don’t have no type of values. They don’t care about a human being.” New said she is begging for someone to come forward with information about the killings. She also had another request. “What I do ask is for no retaliation at all,” New said. “I want to see this in the courts. I want retaliation in the court system. Please, no retaliation.” Oakland police said they have not identified any suspects in the shooting deaths. SMH.
