School Suspends 12-Year-Old Girl For Selling What They Think Are “Sex Toys” A pre-teen in Wisconsin has been suspended from school because her principal believes that she was selling sex toys to her fellow students. The girl’s family thinks the principal is insane. According to a report in TMJ , the school board at Trinity Lutheran School in Racine, WI ruled that the toy that the girl’s father calls “water snake wiggles” was inappropriate even though the girl had permission from her teacher to sell them. “In your wildest imaginations, no adult could possibly view this as a sex toy, this is a water-filled bag,” said Milt Habeck, the father of the girl. Its said that the father plans to continue fighting the school until his daughter is cleared of wrongdoing. Seems like the school administration’s mind is a lot dirtier than the young girl’s is. Aspiring Texas Model And Soon-To-Be Bride Killed By Freight Train Just…wow. 19-year-old Fredzania Thompson was an aspiring model, an expectant mother and a soon-to-be bride. Sadly she will not be able to see any of those dreams come to fruition as a result of a tragic and heartbreaking train accident. According to The Eagle , Fredzania was killed on Friday while standing in between two railroad tracks during a photo shoot. She was struck by a freight train. Witnesses told investigators she was standing where two train tracks meet. Police said one set of tracks belonged to BNSF and the other to Union Pacific. Thomson was standing between the tracks and watching for an oncoming train from BNSF with her back turned toward an oncoming Union Pacific train. Witnesses said she tried to cross the Union Pacific tracks to avoid the BNSF train and was hit by the Union Pacific train. She died en route to a local hospital. Fredzania would have been 20-years-old on this past Monday and just two weeks ago she informed her 25-year-old fiance of her pregnancy: “She said, ‘You’re going to be a dad again,’” he said. Thompson deeply loved Chatman’s 7-year-old son, who would have become her stepson. She seemed to be a motherly figure to him, Chatman said, and the boy has been troubled by her death. “He woke up crying this morning,” Chatman said quietly. “He thought [her death] was a dream.” Can’t even imagine the kind of pain her family and friends are feeling right now. Woman Who Fainted In Front Of Subway Survives But Loses Arm And Leg 25-year-old Sophie Yu survived falling in front of an oncoming 6 train Wednesday in Manhattan but she remains in hospitalized after losing her right arm below the elbow and right leg below the knee. “Her family is devastated,” close pal, who asked not to be identified, told t he New York Daily News. “There’s a lot of stuff they need to figure out right now … She’s going to have a lot to go through.” Police and witnesses say Yu, who is a Wharton business school grad, swooned and fell to the tracks as the train pulled into the 51st St. station on the Lexington Ave. line around 1:30 p.m. The subway motorman saw Yu fall and attempted to stop, slamming on the brakes, however his attempt was unsuccessful. Yu’s shoes remained on the platform after her fall. She regained consciousness while being rescued and was alert as workers carefully removed her from beneath the train. She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical but stable condition. “I’m not sure how much her (parents) know,” said the friend. “We are all supporting her, and I think that’s all she needs right now.” Prayers up for Sophie right now. Dashcam Footage Of Alabama Police-Involved Shooting Released 3 years ago, airman Michael Davidson was shot by Opelika, Alabama police officer Phillip Hancock. According to DailyMail , Officer Hancock claims he mistook Davidson’s wallet for a firearm and felt like he had to put Davidson down. Since then Officer Hancock has been cleared of all wrongdoing. Chicago Girl Killed In Gang Shootout Saves 6 Lives Through Organ Donation At this point there really isn’t a whole lot you can say about the gun violence in Chicago except that it needs to stop. There have been debates, panels, town halls, speeches and still, African-American blood continues to run the streets of one of America’s biggest cities. It isn’t often that we even get a glimpse of a silver lining when it comes to this subject, and we’re not even sure if this particular story can be classified as such. But we were taken aback by a Chicago-Tribune report about the violent death of 11-year-old Takiya Holmes. Takiya was sitting in a family van with her 3-year-old brother when Antwan Jones opened fire at rival gang members across the street. In typical fashion, Antwan didn’t hit a single one of his targets, yet happened to hit Takiya directly in the temple. Shortly after she was unplugged from life support on Tuesday, Takiya’s organs were donated to 6 people, one “distant” family member and 5 other strangers. Seven of Takiya’s organs were donated following her death on Tuesday — to a distant relative and to strangers she had never met. Someone received her heart, her pancreas, her lungs and her kidneys. Two recipients shared her liver. While the family’s generosity will certainly not completely ease the pain of losing their daughter in the first place, they are aware of the joy they have brought to others. “It brings us peace to know that she’s living in someone else,” said Holmes, adding that Takiya’s mother and father eagerly agreed to the transplants. “The fact that she extended another person’s life and helped give them quality of life, we can live with that.” It took a lot of courage by Takiya’s family to share their child with someone else. Minorities, and African-Americans in particular, are not quick to donate organs. Though 20 percent of all transplant recipients are African-American — the overwhelming majority of them kidney recipients — blacks make up only 16 percent of all donors, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
