This could be the plot for a movie, “Fast and Furious Canada,” or maybe “Fast and Furious, the Young and the Rich.” Police in British Columbia say they impounded $2 million worth of high-end vehicles this week after witnesses reported the 13 cars racing on a metro Vancouver highway at speeds of 125 mph (200 kph). The high-end race cars included a Ferrari, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, an Audi, an Aston Martin, Nissans and a Mercedes, according to a Royal Canadian Mounted Police press release. Two of the racers would run side-by-side to block other traffic going in their direction on the highway while the others cars would take off in a race, witnesses told the RCMP. “These drivers seemed to be looking for attention. Well, they definitely got the attention of police,” Cpl. Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Lower Mainland District Regional Police Service, said in the press release. What the racers, who police said are all under age 21, won’t get is harsh punishment. “Each driver will be charged with Driving without Reasonable Consideration and receive a violation ticket with a specified penalty of $196. Additionally, these drivers will be responsible for all associated towing and storage charges,” according to the RCMP press release. The Police say they never actually caught the drivers so no additional charges can be brought. But the question that they never answered is, how the hell they impound the cars if the drivers were never caught? Source

A former U.S. Olympic baseball star and his wife were charged with cooking methamphetamine inside a home they shared with their three children, just a few hundred yards away from Loxley Elementary School, police said. Billy Lyle “BJ” Wallace Jr., 40, and Amber Sheree McKenzie, 29, were being held in Baldwin County Corrections Center as of Wednesday, both charged with first-degree manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wallace, a Monroeville native, pitched for the U.S. team in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, and the Montreal Expos picked him third in that year’s amateur draft, signing the left-hander for $550,000, according to baseball-reference.com and Press-Register archives. He set an Olympic record for strikeouts in a game by fanning 14 in a win over Italy, but he never reached the major leagues. After a three-month investigation that included both surveillance and informants, Loxley police served a search warrant on Wallace’s home at 3999 S. Magnolia St. at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found four “shake and bake” meth labs inside, along with two ounces of “finished product,” according to Loxley police Lt. Doug Phillips. Their three children, ages 2, 8 and 12, were turned over to their grandparents, Phillips said. Though they do not share a last name, Wallace and McKenzie were married in February, according to Baldwin County Probate Office records. Phillips declined to say whether the children were present when officers made the arrests. Because of the length of the investigation, authorities had become concerned for the safety of the children, Phillips said. He described the “shake and bake” lab as a 20-ounce or two-liter plastic bottle with meth ingredients inside. “It can turn into an incredible explosive,” Phillips said. “Even if it didn’t explode, if one of the kids drank it, thinking it was a soda bottle, who knows what could happen?” SMDH. Another child lost at the hands of the people who should have been keeping him safe. Texas police say a 10-year-old boy died of dehydration after his parents kept water from him for five days as punishment for wetting his bed. Michael Ray James and Tina Alberson are charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury in the July 25 death of their son Johnathan James. Both parents are 42. Jonathan’s twin brother, Joseph James, and a 12-year-old stepbrother weren’t hurt and are staying with relatives. Joseph told The Dallas Morning News that his parents put Jonathan in a room without air conditioning and told him to stand by the window. Temperatures in Dallas hit 100 or more every day but one last month. Police documents show the boy collapsed and hit his head on the floor the night he died. SMDH. Source
What in every level of hell??? Authorities have arrested an 80-year-old man accused of imprisoning his two mentally challenged daughters and sexually abusing them for 41 years. The shocking arrest was made in the village of St. Peteram Hart in Austria after the daughters escaped after one allegedly knocked over her father when he tried to rape her. The women are described as having “mental deficiencies,” and the man denies abusing the women, now 53 and 45, beginning allegedly when they were 12 and 4. He is accused of beating and raping his daughters since 1970 and allowing them only minimal contact with the outside world – he even ordered them not to speak about their ordeal. Police said he threatened to kill the women with a pitchfork and a stick, according to the BBC and forced them to stay in the kitchen of the home they shared and made them sleep on a bench. The unnamed man is currently in prison on the charges and the women are in counseling. His wife and the mother of the children died three years ago and it is alleged that she too was abused by the suspect. Wow. Damn, is nothing sacred anymore?!? A crew of robbers has struck three times in the Bronx in recent weeks – including one mugging where they beat a man and stole his valuables – even his Bible. Police Tuesday released a surveillance video of the Bible-theft beatdown in hopes the public will help detectives identify one of the suspects. The security camera filmed three young goons as they pounced on a man in the lobby of a building near Creston Ave. and E. 181st St. in Fordham Heights about 2 a.m. on August 8., police said. One of the crooks followed the 64-year-old man as he entered the lobby, the video shows. The suspect grabbed the man from behind and wrestled him to the ground, punching and kicking him. The suspect’s two accomplices – one wearing what appeared to be a T-shirt wrapped around his head – soon joined in the attack, cowardly beating the man while he was on the ground. They grabbed the man’s bag and dragged him across the lobby floor in a tug-of-war. The attackers eventually prevailed, snatching the man’s bag and making off with his cash, cell phone and Bible, police said. We get stealing his watch, wallet, cell phone, but his BIBLE?! There is definitely a special place in hell for these @$$holes. The devil is hard at work… A preacher who led one of the largest congregations in Central Florida was found dead in a Times Square hotel on Friday, police sources said. The body of Zachery Tims, 42, the senior pastor of New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka, was discovered in his 37th-floor room of the posh W Hotel on Broadway near W. 46th St. about 6 p.m., the sources said. “He’s going to be missed,” the mayor of Apopka, John Land, told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. It was not clear whether Tims was alone at the time of his death. The city’s medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death. This Tims character wasn’t the most pious of the Lord’s humble servants… In 2009, Tims and his wife of 15 years divorced after the pastor admitted to having an affair with another woman. Riva Tims, who is also a pastor, left the church to pursue her own ministry, Majestic Life Institute. There is no telling what other type of shady dealings this guy might have been into.
