Nicole Richie Completes Probation Early

Richie was put on probation that year in connection with DUI charges she received after being pulled over while driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway. Richie’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, went to court Wednesday morning (December 29) to present the judge with proof that her client had completed the terms of her probation. The verification included a report from the alcohol-education program that the reality-TV star had been attending for the last 18 months. Richie was supposed to end her probation in February 2011, but the judge agreed to terminate it early after ruling that all the terms were been met sufficiently. Earlier this month, Richie and her longtime beau, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden , finally tied the knot after dating for four years and having two kids together. The wedding took place in California at the home of Nicole’s dad, Lionel Richie. An array of stars helped the celebrate the nuptials, including No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson and Madden’s twin and Good Charlotte bandmate, Benji. Reverend Run presided over the ceremony. The couple have a 1-year-old son, Sparrow, and an almost-3-year-old daughter, Harlow. The pair made headlines last February when they announced their engagement. Richie broke the news during an appearance on “The Late Show With David Letterman,” while Madden took to Twitter to let the world know. In October 2009, Richie opened up about being a parent. “I couldn’t be happier,” Richie explained to People . “The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I’m right where I belong.”

Lindsay Lohan Looks To Expand Fashion Line Post-Rehab

By Jocelyn Vena Lindsay Lohan Photo: Jeff Vespa/ WireImage Lindsay Lohan is days away from being released from the rehab facility she’s been receiving treatment in for the past few months, and it seems that the troubled starlet is already plotting out her post-rehab future. According to E! News , Lohan is looking to expand her fashion brand. The website reports that through her 6126 fashion line, which now predominately sells leggings, Lohan wants to start designing footwear. A rep for the fashion line told the site, “She’ll finalize everything when she’s out.” The rep added that the shoes Lohan was mulling over for the line would be “classic, glamorous, timeless with a sexy flair.” An announcement is expected to be made early next year, and the line is expected to debut next fall. A 6126 rep did not respond to MTV News’ requests for further information about the report. Lohan recently found herself in trouble after a worker at the Betty Ford rehab facility pressed charges against the actress for allegedly assaulting her earlier this month. After being fired from her job at the facility, the technician dropped charges against Lohan, saying she does not want “in any way, shape or form to do anything that would violate Lindsay’s probation or cause an arrest.” In November, Lohan was let go from an upcoming film project, “Inferno,” after she became too much of a liability. “We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan,” director Matthew Wilder said. “We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard.” Related Photos The Highs And Lows Of Lindsay Lohan Related Artists Lindsay Lohan

Bon Jovi, AC/DC, U2 Top World Tours Of 2010

The veteran rock group had the most successful tour in 2010. And, following closely behind at #2 and #3 are fellow veteran acts AC/DC and U2, concert tracker Pollstar reports. The New Jersey act sold an impressive $201.1 million worth of tickets worldwide this year in a concert economy that was on the downslide. Around the world, ticket sales for the top 50 tours dropped 12 percent to $2.93 billion, and in North America, they dropped 15 percent to $1.69 billion. Bon Jovi beat out 2009’s top two acts, bumping AC/DC, who grossed $177 million in ticket sales, to #2, and U2, with $160.9 million (impressive, considering they had to postpone their North American leg to 2011 due to Bono’s back surgery), to #3 on the list. But hot on the heels of the aging rockers is Lady Gaga, the only woman in the top 10 tours for 2010. Gaga and her Monster Ball tour placed fourth on the list. According to the report, Gaga’s over-the-top spectacle grossed $133.6 million over the course of 138 shows, most of which took place outside of North America. Gaga may have only placed fourth, but she played more shows than the top three: Bon Jovi played only 80 shows, AC/DC played 40 and U2 played 32 shows. ‘I Used To Be Fat’ Star Opens Up About Series Premiere

By Jocelyn Vena Gabriella from “I Used to Be Fat” Photo: MTV News Gabriella is ready to chronicle her struggles to lose weight and get healthier on MTV’s “I Used to Be Fat.” On the show, Gabriella, along with her trainer, Katie, learns to eat and exercise her way to a healthier weight before she heads off to college. With the show debuting Wednesday night (December 29), Gabriella said she’s really excited for everyone to see how she slimmed down. “On the show, you’re gonna see just a normal high school senior and just the struggles that a regular high school senior goes through, but my story’s different because I wanted to lose weight,” she told MTV News. “You’re just gonna see someone who struggles with everyday life and, on top of that, losing weight.” Regarding seeing herself on the first episode, Gabriella said, “It was weird, and it was kind of sad too. I saw it, and I was like, ‘I was really that big?’ I couldn’t really believe it. It made me even more proud of myself because I saw how far I’ve come.” Gabriella said she had many people in her life cheering her on during the transition, and especially credited her mom for keeping her strong through the process. “My parents were really supportive, and I think that’s really important ’cause you need to have a good support system, and they were really happy for me,” she recalled. “My friends were really, really supportive because they knew I always struggled with my weight and I always had a problem.” Looking back, Gabriella had a little advice for her former self: “I would tell her to get off the couch and get up and I could do it. I would tell myself to stay strong or be strong.” So, what tips does she have for others in her position? “The best piece of advice is: Just take it day by day,” she suggested. “Because it’s a process. That’s what the country singer wanted fans to know when she took to Twitter on Tuesday (December 28), just one day after announcing that she and Eddie Cibrian are engaged. Lol, you people all report BS,” she wrote , tweeting a celebrity gossip website’s report that she is expecting. Several tweets prior, Rimes shared the best advice she ever received, perhaps a dig at reports about her and her fiancé: “Don’t feed onto the negativity, that’s what they want. When you ignore you put out their flames and leave them with nothing to talk about. A bully wants to get a reaction, no reaction is confusing to a bully and they eventually burn out. Hard to do always, but so true and it works.” Rimes then went on to tweet about her fun partying plans: “Cabo!!!!! Sun, bikinis, friends, food, tequila…celebration!!!! Gonna be the best trip!!” On Monday, the same day she announced her engagement, Rimes thanked her fans for their support. “Once again, thank you all for your kindness and for sharing in our happiness,” she wrote. “We are off to sweet dream land. According to Us Weekly, the singer and her baseball-player beau have split. “It happened over the last few weeks,” a source told the magazine. “She basically was just over it.” The insider added that the pop star has been “so busy” with work that “he just can’t keep up with her crazy travel schedule.” The duo started dating in January and couldn’t keep their relationship under wraps for long, but apparently Kemp got tired of dating a woman with a jet-setting lifestyle. “Matt’s sick of always following after her like a puppy dog all over the world. He wants something more normal,” the source explained. “It was never as serious as it looked. It was always just [about] having fun.” Shortly after they began dating, Kemp threw Rihanna a birthday party in February. In June, Rihanna opened up about the L.A. Dodger to Elle magazine: “I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. Morissette and husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway named their boy Ever Imre. “Alanis Morissette and Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway welcomed a baby boy, Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway, on Dec. 25th,” a rep for the singer told the magazine. “All are healthy and happy.” Morissette, who had a baby shower in October, announced she was pregnant in August, sharing her excitement with the world. She took to Twitter at the time to share the news. “Yes, happy news….i’m pregnant,” she wrote. “We’re so excited to start our family…. xo a.” Shortly after making the announcement, she stopped by “Chelsea Lately” and recalled how surprised she was when she found out she was expecting a baby. “I actually thought I wasn’t,” she told the talk-show host before recalling how the doctor broke the news to her, much to her own shock. Snooki Declares East Coast Blizzard A ‘Snow Party’

And it seems that some of the region’s biggest celebs have mixed feelings about the snow. “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara simply tweeted, “Finally snowing in the house!! Wuuu hooo!” She then posted a photo of herself bundled up in the snow. “Jersey Shore” star Snooki seemed content with the weather. “Still up and enjoying this snow storm !! #snowpartyallnight.” She later added: “Ahhh the reindeer are getting burried Wahhh! Poor things,” followed by a photo of herself hanging out among the snow drifts. VH1 reality star and former MTV VJ La La Vazquez went to Twitter for a weather update: “Is it still snowing in NYC?” If La La needed an answer, all she had to do was look to the Twitter feeds of some of reality TV’s biggest stars, who were out in full force reacting to the intense snow that fell over much of the Tri-State Area. “I have to say I freakin HATE snow,” tweeted “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum Dina Manzo . “Does nothing but cause problems & put people I love in danger.
