Joe Jonas, Demi Lovato Talk About Touring As Lovers On ‘Good Morning America’

Host George Stephanopoulos surprises Lovato by asking for autograph. By Jocelyn Vena Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato (file) Photo: Kevin Mazur/VF1/WireImage When “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos wasn’t angling to get an autograph for his 4-year-old daughter on Friday — a request Lovato said she’d be happy to grant — he was chatting with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato about their summer tour . And what he really wanted to know was how Joe and his “Camp Rock 2” co-star and real-life love, Demi Lovato, are planning to balance out their love and their jobs on tour. “We don’t know yet! We’re both really excited!” Joe said about their summer tour, which kicks off in July, when the band, along with Lovato, chatted on “Good Morning America” via video hookup from Los Angeles. She added, “We’ll find out!” The duo, along with Kevin and Nick, also revealed that the tour will be a full-on “Camp Rock 2” spectacular. “It’s going to be a blast. We’re going to be bringing the movie to life everywhere we go,” Kevin explained. But, the conversation didn’t stay on the topic of touring for long. And, Kevin gave fans an update of his life being married to Danielle . “It’s great. It’s amazing being with your best friend everyday,” he shared. “It’s so nice to have that relationship there and beyond that a partnership.” And, he said that like Joe, he’ll have his lady on the road with him. “She will be [there],” he said. “We have a dog, Riley, as well.” But the conversation wasn’t all about the band’s love life; the guys also shared what their most interesting fan gift of all time has ever been. Joe revealed, “A hippo was one of gifts once. Somebody adopted a hippo in our name. I don’t know [where it is]. I would love to visit it and hang out with it!” Are you excited for the JoBros/Lovato tour? Do you think Stephanopolous’ on-air autograph reqest was inappropriate? Let us know in the comments below! The Jonas Brothers’ ‘It’s On’ Video Gives Sneak Peek Of ‘Camp Rock 2’

JoBros’ new video was made just after they wrapped the Disney movie. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by James Lacsina Kevin and Joe Jonas Photo: MTV News Fans will get a glimpse into the world of “Camp Rock 2” on Friday night (May 14), when the Jonas Brothers release their new music video for the track, “It’s On,” off the TV-movie’s soundtrack. Shot just as the guys wrapped up work on “CR2,” which will premiere September 3 on Disney, the guys say that the video perfectly encapsulates the vibe of the sequel. “We shot [the video] back in September, October, and it was a great experience,” Joe Jonas told MTV News at the Young Hollywood Awards on Thursday night. “We were able to get back with the cast, and the video was really fun. Joe added that the video, which was directed by Brandon Dickerson, will give fans a taste of what they will see in the flick. “It has a lot of pieces to the puzzle to what people will see when the movie does come out,” he said. “I think it’s also a little something of what people are going to see when we go out on tour.” “The video is a really cool concept,” Kevin Jonas continued. “It takes on the aspect of the music and just the intensity, the high energy of what the song is. … What’s cool is just the passion of all the people who are singing.” Nick explained that it was a bit of a high-intensity shoot since they filmed “It’s On” at night. “It was good. It was a long night. We shot it overnight, ’cause we wrapped the movie with night shoots so from basically 10 [at night] to 10 in the morning every day [we shot the movie],” he said. “And after the movie wrapped, we shot the video, so we had to stay on that schedule. We stayed up all night and then [had] a flight on the next day. It was [an experience] we’ll never forget.” What’s your favorite Jonas Brothers video? Share your thoughts in the comments. Jake Gyllenhaal Channels John McEnroe For Vampire Weekend Video

‘I basically changed into a tennis outfit, and I got down,’ he tells MTV News of ‘Giving Up the Gun’ cameo. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Vanessa White Wolf Jake Gyllenhaal Photo: MTV News Vampire Weekend’s “Giving Up the Gun” video is a smorgasbord of thoroughly WTF cameos — everyone from Joe Jonas to Lil Jon shows up at one point or another — but perhaps no guest star is as perplexing as Jake Gyllenhaal. After all, with a relatively huge summer movie to promote (the swords-n-sandals epic “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” ), you’d think he’d have better things to do with his time. Turns out, nothing could be further from the truth. “That was just amazing, because I love that band, and I love their first album, and I had recently just got their second album,” Gyllenhaal told MTV News. “I got a call from the directors, who are friends of mine … and they were like, ‘We’re doing this thing, and we heard you’re a big fan of the band. We didn’t know if you wanted to come down.’ I was actually in San Francisco, and they were shooting it in Los Angeles, and they were like, ‘We’re shooting it this evening,’ so I said, ‘All right, I’m there.’ So I drove down from San Francisco to this soundstage in downtown L.A., and I basically changed into a tennis outfit, and I got down.” In the clip, Gyllenhaal plays a hard-swinging, even harder-boozing tennis pro, a role that, surprisingly, wasn’t that much of a stretch for the Oscar-nominated actor. “Well, that’s the only way anyone’s going to beat me, if I’m that wasted,” he joked. “They call me, like, the John McEnroe of action films.” And though, yes, he does have a film to promote, Gyllenhaal said he’d drop everything if the guys from Vampire Weekend came calling again. Just as long as “Gun” co-stars Jonas, Jon and the RZA are involved. After all, he’s old pals with all of them. “It was really fun. I met the band and hung out with them. They’re all really cool guys … and the Jonas Brothers, the RZA and Lil Jon, we all usually chill anyway,” he laughed. “Actually, we were up in San Francisco, and I was like, ‘You guys, do you want to come down with me?’ And Lil Jon was like, ‘I’m busy,’ and I was like, ‘Come on, man, get in the car!’ So we all chilled out, listened to the whole album, and the RZA was dope. He was great. He sat shotgun, because that’s where he likes to sit usually. … We all hang out because we’re all really good friends.” What did you think of the cameos in the Vampire Weekend video? Justin Bieber, ‘Twilight’ Stars Dominate Young Hollywood Awards

Another bloodthirsty cast, CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” also takes honors at the ceremony on May 13. By Terri Schwartz Justin Bieber Photo: Chip Somodevilla/ Getty Images There weren’t many surprises when it comes to gossip blog Hollywood Life ‘s announcement of who made the cut for their 12th annual Young Hollywood Awards . Few things are hotter right now than “Twilight,” Justin Bieber , Disney stars or any combination of the three. So it certainly wasn’t a shocker to learn that Bieber — who’s enjoyed an extraordinarily fast ride to fame over the past year — is the recipient of the Young Hollywood Newcomer of the Year award. But the Canadian phenom couldn’t best the competition when it came to the Artist of the Year award. That honor went to another wildly popular teen: 17-year-old JoBro Nick Jonas, who nabbed the win, thanks to his solo debut with Nick Jonas and the Administration. Although there had been speculation about whether the Jonas Brothers would break up , Nick told MTV News in January that he was “just really feeling that sense of coming into my own … it’s a good feeling.” Also making the list were two young “Twilight” stars — but, surprisingly, not the pair fans might have expected. K-Stew and RPattz took home no prizes, but Nikki Reed was named Superstar in the Making, while Ashley Greene is the Young Hollywood Style Icon. Another vampire ensemble did make the cut, though, with the cast of the popular CW series “The Vampire Diaries” being named Cast to Watch. Miley Cyrus’s boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, got a nod on the list for Breakthrough of the Year, after co-starring with Cyrus in “The Last Song.” Hemsworth has a couple of films in the pipeline, including “The Throwback” and 2011’s “Arabian Nights.” The rising actor also boasts the prestigious honor of being one of Hollywood Crush’s Hump Day Hotties . The show will be held on May 13 in Los Angeles. Other notable winners included Whitney Cummings (Comedian of the Year), Chad Ochocinco (Athlete of the Year), Nina Dobrev (Young Hollywood Making Their Mark) and “90210’s” Jessica Stroup (Young Hollywood Sparkling Performance). Jonas Brothers Kick Off Tour With Demi Lovato On July 27

‘We’re trying to step up our game,’ Nick Jonas says of summer tour that will last through October. By Jocelyn Vena The Jonas Brothers Photo: MTV News After taking some time for other pursuits like Nick Jonas and the Administration, the TV show “JONAS,” and well, getting married, the Jonas Brothers have announced they’ll hit the road together this summer for a massive tour. Their jaunt with Demi Lovato kicks off on July 27 in Dallas and doesn’t wrap until October 17 in Raleigh, North Carolina. According to their label, more than 45 shows are planned in North America, with stops also expected in Latin American and Europe. We cannot wait to get out there again and play shows and to be with our fans,” Nick said. “We’re trying to bring an entertaining show to our fans. We’re working it out now and we’re trying to step up our game.” And how will they step up their game? “Space shuttles,” Kevin joked. “We called NASA; it’s happening. Just imagine, really? Like a space shuttle onstage. You show up and it’s there and you’re like, ‘He wasn’t kidding.’ ” The Jonas Brothers’ July and August tour dates (September and October dates available on TeamJonas.com):

Jonas Brothers Rooting For Michael Lynche on ‘American Idol’

‘He’s one of my favorites right now,’ Joe Jonas says of Big Mike. By Jocelyn Vena The Jonas Brothers Photo: MTV News The Jonas Brothers were probably pretty relieved when the “American Idol” judges saved Michael Lynche a couple of weeks back. It seems the mop-topped trio are really rooting for the singer to win it all. “I don’t know all of their names, but what is the guy that sang that … Big Mike! I think he has an amazing voice,” Joe Jonas told MTV News. “He’s really talented. I want to say he’s one of my favorites right now.” Joe and his brothers say that even if Lynche doesn’t win, they are sure he has a very bright future ahead of him. “On ‘American Idol,’ they’re all so talented, and even if you don’t win, it seems like a majority of them end up becoming winners of their own because they are so talented,” he said of successful “Idol” alumni like Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry and Clay Aiken, who didn’t win their seasons. Joe knows a thing or two about season nine of “Idol,” since he has already appeared as a guest judge during the Dallas auditions and performed with Demi Lovato during a results show. But the guys aren’t sure whether they will stop by again this season. “It seems like it’s getting pretty close to the end,” Joe said. “But who knows? We found out I was performing [on ‘Idol’] like three days before.” Do you agree with the Jonas Brothers and think Michael Lynche will win “American Idol”? Tell us in the comments! ‘I haven’t talked to my brothers in a while,’ Nick jokes before short New York show. By Jocelyn Vena The Jonas Brothers Photo: MTV News NEW YORK — On Sunday, the Jonas Brothers hit the stage at the Roseland Ballroom to perform for Family Day, a benefit organized by the T.J. Martell Foundation. The annual charity event raises money for leukemia, cancer and AIDS research. And his younger brother joked that it was nice to be reunited with his siblings after taking time to focus on a solo effort, Nick Jonas and the Administration . “I haven’t talked to my brothers in a while,” Nick laughed. “He’s been doing the side project,” Joe said. “Takes up all of his time.” All jokes about their “reunion” aside, the bandmates talked about how great it was to be included in the day’s festivities, especially for a foundation whose work reaches those in need. “We’re really excited today to be a part of [this],” Kevin said. “[The] T.J.
