The “Sonny With a Chance” star was spotted with her family on Christmas getting food near her treatment facility in Woodridge, Illinois, according to Celebrity-Gossip.net . Wearing a leopard-print jacket, sunglasses and army boots, Lovato “seemed in good spirits,” according to a source. The site also reported that Lovato went back to the treatment facility later that evening. Lovato sightings have been rare since she entered the facility in early November. She left her tour with the Jonas Brothers after an alleged altercation with dancer Alex Welch. Earlier this month, photos taken prior to her treatment leaked online of Lovato partying with her friends , including Welch. Welch recently told People that she and the Disney actress came to a settlement in connection with the altercation. “I’m happy,” she said. “We came to an agreement and I’m ready to move on.” A rep for the Disney star had no comment regarding the settlement between the two. Earlier this month, Welch spoke about the disagreement , noting that she really wanted Demi to say sorry. “To this day, I haven’t gotten an apology. I’ve heard nothing,” Welch said. “That’s sad if you think that person is your friend. “I felt, honestly, I didn’t say anything and didn’t think twice about it,” Welch recalled. “We were on the plane with the Jonases having this awesome time, and I didn’t get a call or text from Demi or a ‘hey, you got a problem with me,’ nothing. Whenever I see pictures of Ashley Greene, I feel robbed. It’s like she is the most overhyped girl around. Everyone things she’s so fucking hot because she happens to be the hot one in the movie, but to be fair, a pile of dog shit shaped kinda vaginal is hotter than that inbred Kristen Stewart so it’s not saying much, but marketing works and people believe what they read, especailly 14 and 15 year olds, so throw her bedding the Jonas Brothers into her campaign, and all of a sudden, she’s untouchable, and based on the way she looks, I agree she is untouchable unless there’s a lot of liquor in your system, it’s 3 am and the bar is closing…don’t get me wrong, I’d fuck her sleeping or awake, high or sober, but the point is she’s not where she needs to be to warrant the attention she gets and lies make me fucking cry… Here is the lie in a boring outfit basically mocking us and letting us know she doesn’t need to try cuz she’s made it….while making instore appearances like the convicts they use at costco to hand out frozen pizza samples…only way more luxurious. Overrated.

By Jocelyn Vena Demi Lovato and Alex Welch Photo: Getty Images After Alex Welch spoke out about her alleged altercation with Demi Lovato — noting that she had yet to receive an apology from the actress, who is seeking treatment for personal issues — comes news that both camps are close to a settlement to keep Welch from suing the Disney star. The dancer’s lawyer, Don Karpel, told E! News , “I have engaged in discussions with Demi Lovato’s attorney. I’m fairly confident we will be able to resolve these issues.” A rep for the actress confirmed the report as well, noting that “they did speak” about the matter. The rep added: “Demi’s attorneys have had an initial discussion with Mr. Karpel. They are exploring the possibility of an amicable resolution of this matter. We do not plan on making further public comments during this process.” Karpel claims that Welch suffered emotional and physical repercussions after Lovato allegedly punched her as well as “lasting physical damage,” which caused the dancer to consult with a plastic surgeon. E! reports that both camps began discussions Tuesday (December 7) after Welch, who was a dancer on the singer/actress’ tour with the Jonas Brothers, gave an interview implying that she would seek legal damages against the singer. Lovato’s camp reached out to Karpel after he shared that he would file a motion “in the next seven to 10 days” for alleged assault and battery. While it appears that the two are working to settle the situation, in an interview Monday, Welch explained she just wanted the “Sonny With a Chance” star to say she was sorry for the incident. “To this day, I haven’t gotten an apology. Days after photos of the bruises she suffered at the hands of Demi Lovato surfaced, Alex Welch is speaking out about the early November incident between her and that famous singer. While sitting on a plane with Demi, The Jonas Brothers and others related to that tour, the 21-year dancer says she was punched in the face by Lovato, who suspected Alex of ratting out her partying actions from the previous evening. “She walks up and punches me and literally walked away and got in her seat,” Welch tells People , adding that she didn’t tattle on anyone. “No one should do that and brush it over, it’s not right.” Lovato entered rehab immediately following this confrontation, but has not reached out to Welch about it. “To this day, I haven’t gotten an apology. I’ve heard nothing,” the dancer says . “That’s sad if you think that person is your friend.” A source close to Demi says this is just a matter of logistics, based on where Demi has been residing for the last five weeks: a treatment facility. “Demi hasn’t been able to call Alex because she is sequestered in treatment, but multiple efforts have been made to reach out to her,” says the insider. Reps for both side, meanwhile, acknowledge that there’s been contact between attorneys. Confirms a spokesperson for Lovato: “We are in the process of engaging with Alex’s lawyer and hope to resolve this as quickly as possible.”

Now, dancer Alex Welch — who was on the road with Lovato and the Jonas Brothers — is speaking up about the incident, which reportedly took place in late October, just before Lovato announced she was leaving the JoBros’ tour. “To this day, I haven’t gotten an apology. I’ve heard nothing,” Welch told People magazine on Monday (December 6). “That’s sad if you think that person is your friend.” According to reports, Lovato was angry when she found out someone on the tour had told tour managers about her partying. Welch said the teen star “pulled the dancers in a room and threatened: ‘If I find out who told on me, ‘ ” adding that she was clueless about what Lovato was referring to. “I felt, honestly, I didn’t say anything and didn’t think twice about it,” Welch recalled. “We were on the plane with the Jonases having this awesome time, and I didn’t get a call or text from Demi or a ‘hey, you got a problem with me,’ nothing. The dancer said she’s looking at her legal options now. “We have contacted the Lovato camp and we are waiting for a response. If we don’t hear back, we will pursue litigation.” A rep for Demi confirmed that, saying, “We are in the process of engaging with Alex’s lawyer and hope to resolve this as quickly as possible.” The rep added, “Demi feels awful about what happened. Ah, yes: The old, “We took our kids to see one movie, and then they were showed something much, much worse” news story . It’s the type of almost yearly occurrence that warms the hearts of those people who like laughing at the absurd (non)misfortunes of others. In this case, a group of 7-year-old children in Massachusetts went to see Megamind 3D with a couple of parents, only to be shown Saw 3D instead. As one child told his parents, the mere site of the violent images witnessed by his young eyes were enough to make him not want to see another movie ever again.
