Well, it seems that rumor turned out to be true — for one date, at least. Jonas tweeted Friday (July 29) that he’s opening for Spears at her August 5 stop in New Jersey. “This just in … I will be performing at the @BritneySpears concert in NJ on Aug 5,” the Jersey native wrote. Just last week, it was announced that DJ Pauly D will also appear on several dates of the tour, which also features Nicki Minaj, Nervo and Jessie and the Toy Boys. Jonas also shared in the same tweet that the release date for his forthcoming debut album has been delayed. He added, “And get ready for #FastLife in stores Oct. 11.” Fast Life was originally slated to hit stores September 6, but fans will have to wait an additional few weeks to hear what the middle Jonas Brother has up his sleeve on the long-simmering solo project. Jonas was recently spotted in Paris shooting the music video for the album’s second single, “Just In Love With You.” He was seen getting cozy with a model at various locations in the City of Lights. The song is a follow-up to his single “See No More,” written by Chris Brown. ‘See No More’ singer ‘got the reaction right away’ on debut solo single. By Jocelyn Vena Joe Jonas Photo: MTV News Joe Jonas seems to be getting all the support he needs from his fans as he embarks on releasing his solo album, Fast Life , this September. The album will be an intimate look at the inner monologue of the Jonas Brother. While it’s a bit of a scary process going at it without his brothers, he said fan feedback is making the transition a lot easier. “I was really excited,” he told MTV News about hearing fans’ comments. “I love the world we live in where you can know what people are thinking right away.” He added that while much of the response has been positive, he’s also cool with any criticism that might come his way. “I guess you like it and you don’t like it, but I like it because [my single] ‘See No More,’ when it released on iTunes, I got the reaction right away of what people are thinking.” The song’s video also got tons of feedback, but long before the video dropped, it took a little work getting it all together. “The video kind of came together with a concept I had using a house as a metaphor to show destruction of a heart or of the mind,” he explained. “The first director didn’t work out. I kept fighting to find the right treatment.” That right treatment put Joe in an “almost dream world with a house where the house is falling apart, the house is on fire, there’s explosions,” he explained. “And I’m a guy, so I was immediately really excited about that.” So, how does “See No More” co-writer Chris Brown feel about the release? “He’s really pumped for the song and he gave his support, which was really cool,” Jonas said. Without Nick and older brother Kevin by his side, Joe says it was a bit overwhelming at first. But the 21-year-old, who will release Fast Life in September, eventually realized that he could count on the support of his fans, who would get to see a new side of him with this solo album. “It was scary in the beginning just because I knew this is my one opportunity to show people my journal: the good and bad of every relationship I’ve been in, you know, [and] what I look for [in relationships],” Joe told MTV News backstage on Wednesday at the Sounds Like Paper Concert at the House of Vans in Brooklyn, New York. The singer was celebrating his Paper magazine cover and performed four songs, including his Chris Brown-penned single “See No More.” He also talked about other inspirations for the album, including “being on tour with my brothers, being in a band.” Jonas says his approach was to “almost talk about the fans and my point of view and how I see them.” The songs on Joe’s upcoming album won’t sound like the ones that made the Jonas Brothers famous, he said. They’re unique to Joe, fusing his love of house music and mainstream pop&B instead of the pop/rock of a JoBros album. “It was really, really cool to have those experiences [from] all my life [and] to be able to write about it and on my own,” he explained. “And also on the music side, it was a fun process. It was almost an evolution process, because in the beginning it sounded nothing like it is now. Newly-married Kate Middleton and Prince William were greeted by huge crowds – and questions about their future family – in Canada this weekend. While touring Quebec City, Kate was presented with a bouquet by a young admirer named Raffaela, 2, who was with her father David Cheater, 28. Like many others, Cheater waited hours with his daughter to see the royal couple, who attended a ceremony honoring Canada’s Royal 22nd Regiment. “Kate said to me, ‘What a beautiful daughter you have,'” he said after The Duchess laid her hand on the youngster’s head and smiled at the little girl. He added: “When I said to her I wished her and William well with starting their own family, she said, ‘Yes, I hope to.'” So when will Kate get pregnant ? She didn’t say, but watching them outside City Hall – where Prince William delivered a short speech entirely in French – they look quite smitten. Sadly, not everyone present in the massive crowds welcomed the royal couple with open arms as they arrived in the streets of Old Quebec. Their motorcade was greeted with about 200 protesters carrying the Quebec flag and signs in French that translated as “the king is me.” Kate and William waved to the masses of people lining the streets and didn’t pay attention to the protesters standing about 100 feet away.
