Continuing to broaden her career horizons to a surprising and always entertaining degree, Farrah Abraham has been cast in Axeman 2: Overkill. The ’80s-style horror film has already started filming, as the Teen Mom star informed us from the set of the sure to be epic motion picture event: Farrah Abraham , clearly excited, Tweeted, “Wow first movie #OnTheSet #Memory2Remember LOVE THIS! #California what?! Lines Lines Lines #Actor” It’s unclear how Farrah’s managed to take time off from her stripping gig in Austin and singing “Blowin'” live (you gotta hear that), but here she is. If the backdoor beauty has proven anything though, it’s that she can juggle jobs like James Deen juggles her … yeah, you get the idea. Multitasker. In Axeman 2, she plays the role of Fannie Rae Baker. She calls this girl a “conservative evangelical do-gooder hiking through a place called Cutler’s Creek for a couple’s Christian camp where the film takes place.” Hey, Farrah has said one of her goals is to be a Christian movie actress , so this is the next best thing. Though it may not end well for her character. According to the film’s press release, Farrah/Fannie and her fellow Bible-thumpers look be doomed in the end, “when The Axeman shows up.” His goal? “To separate them … and dismember them.” Then again, you just never know. Sounds like the kind of gripping plot you’ll bend over backwards to see play out when it hits theaters nationwide. We kid. The Giudices sentencing has been delayed several times since they both pled guilty to fraud back in March. But today the troubled couple finally had its day in court today, and as expected, both Joe and Teresa pulled out all the stops in hopes of avoiding prison. Joe and Teresa Giudice: Sentenced! Joe Giudice was sentenced to 41 months behind bars, as a last-minute plea to the judge fell on deaf ears. Joe and his lawyer went with an age-old excuse for his bad behavior, claiming that Giudice suffers from a severe drinking problem. “Joe does have a serious problem with alcohol,” attorney Miles Feinstein told the court. “And being on the show didn’t help. It’s there. I’ve noticed it. When he comes into my office he smells like alcohol.” Feinstein requested that Giudice be sent to rehab in lieu of prison. Unfortunately for Joe the judge and prosecutor weren’t having it. Judge Esther Salas stated that Joe will indeed have access to addiction treatment – while he’s doing his time behind bars. Joe, of course, wasn’t the only one engaging in 11th-hour shenanigans and generally making a mockery of the justice system. Sources say Teresa Giudice seemed oblivious to the seriousness of her situation this morning. The Real Housewife was reportedly laughing and speaking optimistically about her future as a team of beauticians prepped her for court. “Teresa has a hair stylist and makeup artist come to her house Thursday morning,” says one insider. “Not even the threat of going to prison was going to stop her from looking good.” When the beauty treatment took longer than expected and threatened to make the Giudices late for court, Teresa’s response was classic Teresa: “Teresa retorted the judge couldn’t start without her, and said she didn’t want to take a bad mug shot picture if it ended up being required.” And Teresa wonders why she hasn’t received much sympathy from the court thus far. News of her sentence has yet to be released, but we’re guessing her hair extensions and fake eyelashes didn’t help her case. This morning, Joe Giudice was sentenced to 41 months in prison , stemming from his conviction on several counts of fraud, to which he pleaded guilty back in March. His wife – Teresa Giudice – was forced to wait several hours to find out her own fate, and just minutes ago, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star got what was coming to her: Teresa was sentenced to 15 months behind bars! Prior to their sentencing, the Giudices were reprimanded by Judge Esther Salas for being dishonest in financial documents requested by the court. Salas also stated that she was forced to delay the Giudices’ sentencing as they were several months late in filing the documents pertaining to the case. It’s unclear as to whether or not the late submission and missing information factored into the Salas’ decision to throw the book at the Giudices, but it couldn’t have helped. Sources inside the courtroom say the judge was very clearly not happy with the Giudices, and Teresa’s attempts to win sympathy were unsuccessful. Not too surprising as we’re talking about Joe and Teresa Giudice. Teresa pleaded with the judge to go easy on her with house arrest so that she could care for the couple’s four children while her husband was locked up. 13 Classic Teresa Giudice Moments 1. At least her priorities are in line. She reportedly cried hysterically as the sentence was announced. According to reports, Teresa is scheduled to begin serving her sentence on January 5. Kate Walsh made her full-time return to television tonight on Bad Judge Season 1 Episode 1 . The former Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice star appears here as Rebecca Wright, an officer of the law who knows how to have a good time away from her chambers, but who punishes residents of Los Angeles inside the courtroom. Despite her wild child ways, she’s known for being tough and well-respected. But Wright also possesses a reputation for unorthodox behavior, which includes creative rulings and saying everything that’s on her mind at all times. This is where Bad Judge mines most of its premiere humor, but nothing Wright says is really all that provocative. It’s also unclear how she even rose to this position of power when her personal life is such a mess. We’re not judging (pun… intended!) the number of male suitors who come calling on Wright here. Nor do we care that she doesn’t want to settle down with them. But it’s a tad difficult to believe that Rebecca can be so naughty away from the courtroom and still have worked hard enough to wear the robe in the first place. All that and she still finds time to twerk with her mom every weekend. How does she do it? The family of Reeva Steenkamp is speaking out following the verdict in the Oscar Pistorius case after the athlete was found guilty of culpable homicide Friday. Their verdict: Justice was NOT served. And he shot through the door and I can’t believe that they believe that it was an accident.” Her father, Barry Steenkamp, added, “it wasn’t just disbelief on our minds. I think it was disbelief on everyone’s, on most people who have been following the case.” “I just don’t feel that this is the right sentence, you know?” June Steenkamp added. “They believe his story, and I don’t believe that story. That’s the difference.” Pistorius was found not guilty of murder , the most serious offense he could have been charged with, as the judge felt the evidence did not support it. Oscar Pistorius Guilty of Culpable Homicide When NBC pressed the Steenkamps about what they think the sentence should be, June Steenkamp dismissed the question, saying they had no interest. “I really don’t care what happens to Oscar,” she said. “It’s not going to change anything because my daughter is never coming back. He’s still living and breathing you know, and she’s gone forever.” Pistorius’s conviction for culpable homicide, the equivalent of manslaughter, could still land him in prison for as many as 15 years … or no years. As with his trial, it’s the judge’s decision alone – South Africa has no jury trials – and he could be sent away for a long time, or fined or given house arrest or both. Chris Brown’s been partying like a man possessed these days, but that has not stopped the R&B star from receiving a glowing report on his probation. As a result, the judge even agreed to scale back the number of drug tests he must submit to each week from three to two. Let’s hear it for baby steps! Freed and then later killed …. California Man Freed In Error By Jury Is Stabbed To Death A defendant in a Central California burglary case walked out of a courtroom a free man after a jury mistakenly signed a not-guilty verdict form — only to be killed hours later. Via NY Post reports: The flabbergasted judge said Wednesday that he had no choice but to order defendant Bobby Lee Pearson to be released from jail because the not-guilty verdict had been put on the record, The Fresno Bee reported. After it was too late, jurors told the judge they were hung on the charges against Pearson. Prosecutors might have had an opportunity to retry Pearson in the case of a hung jury. “I can’t believe it,” Superior Court Judge W. Kent Hamlin said after he ordered Pearson to be set free. Hours later, Pearson was stabbed to death after going to a home to get some clothing and belongings, Fresno police Sgt. James Rios said. He apparently got into a fight early Thursday with his sister’s boyfriend, who Rios says then stabbed him. The two apparently had a long history of problems. The boyfriend’s name has not been released. Hamlin said Wednesday that he couldn’t change the verdict form because double jeopardy was already attached. “This has never happened to me in more than 100 jury trials that I have done,” he said. Pearson and two co-defendants were accused of burglarizing an apartment last year and stealing a video system and a gun. The homeowner allegedly caught the intruders and wrestled with one of them. Jurors returned a guilty verdict against Pearson’s co-defendant, Terrel Minniweather, and the mistaken not guilty verdict against Pearson before lunch Wednesday. Hamlin asked the jury whether that was in fact its verdict against Pearson, and all 12 nodded yes, the Bee reported. The jurors were then asked to return after lunch for a potential second phase of the trial. The confusion over the verdict against Pearson came to light during lunch, when one juror told court staff that he had voted to find Pearson guilty, said Linden Lindahl, an attorney for Minniweather. Jurors said they were confused by the forms, one of which was for a guilty verdict and the other for a not guilty verdict. One juror said there was no form they could sign that indicated the jury was deadlocked. Lindahl said he was surprised by the jury’s confusion, since the judge “did everything by the book.” Cold world!
