The Real Housewives of New York City: Tinsley Mortimer Joining Cast?

Tinsley Mortimer may well be about to stage a return to television in the hopes of changing public perception of her.  There’s word that the 41-year-old socialite could be about to join the likes of Bethenny Frankel and LuAnn De Lesseps on The Real Housewives of New York City .  According to a source close to the star, Tinsley has definitely filmed some scenes for the show, but it’s yet to be announced whether she will take the place of Jules Wainstein, who departed the Bravo reality hit after just one season. “Tinsley is now staying with Sonja Morgan [at her Upper East Side townhouse],” the insider revealed. Sonja has been part of the main cast of the series since Season 3, so if she’s playing roommates with Sonja, it would make sense for her to be in front of the camera.  She is filming as Sonja’s friend. “Sonja is responsible for introducing Tinsley to the rest of the cast,” the insider continued.  It would be pretty great if she somehow managed to become a part of the show, but her fate on the show has yet to be determined.  “Producers will determine if she will officially join the cast in the coming weeks.” Mortimer is not stranger to reality TV. She previously had her own show on The CW in 2010. It was called High Society, but it failed to make an impact in the ratings and was canceled after just one season.  There was rumblings that the show was to be retooled for Season 2 with Tinsley moving to the Hamptons without any of the other cast members, but the network ultimately vetoed the idea of the new format.  The sole season followed Tinsley as she went through her divorce from her husband, while navigating various charity events throughout New York City.  It wasn’t entirely a bad show, but The CW always struggled to make their reality series work. The only one that got the network much traction was UPN holdover. America’s Next Top Model .  There have been a lot of changes in Tinsley’s life since the show was canceled. She previously revealed that she felt exhausted when the show was canceled and subsequently moved to Palm Beach, Florida.  Additionally, Mortimer was arrested earlier this year for for banging on her ex-boyfriend’s front door . Apparently, she couldn’t get over the fact that they had split up and decided to try gain entry, but she was arrested instead.  If you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online , you’ll know the other ladies are no stranger to drama, so we could see Tinsley fitting in pretty well with the other ladies.  What do you think about all of this? Bethenny Frankel on Jules Wainsten: I Knew It!

Bethenny Frankel is probably the most pivotal characters on The Real Housewives of New York City.  She can effortlessly create drama from thin air and it keeps us tuning in every damn week to watch just how much she can stir the damn pot.  Her latest words surrounded her claims that Jules and Michael Wainstein signing a post-nuptial agreement before filming kicked off on the Bravo reality series.  Bethanny bashed Jules for using the show to showcase her divorce to Michael.  It was all pretty bizarre and made the reunion special pretty awkward to watch.  Jules was playing the sympathy card and acting all shocked about her marriage crumbling and even brushed off Bethenny’s claims.  Now, it appears that Bethanny was totally right about the whole thing.  Who would have thought it? A source close to the situation revealed to Radar Online that Bethenny was right.  It really raises a whole lot of questions about just how fake everything was with Jules on the show.  If she planned on using her divorce as a storyline for the hit series, it really puts things in perspective.  It’s not uncommon for reality TV shows to be manipulated in some way, but what Jules did was just deplorable.  Maybe she knew that was the only way of her getting on the show, but it still doesn’t explain why she lasted just one season.  “Jules and Michael were with Bethenny a few times and that is why she could say that she knew them,” the source explained. “Jules and Michael told her about their marriage problems one time at her house before they started taping the show.” “They didn’t blatantly say ‘we are getting divorced for the show,'” the source explained.”  View Slideshow: 19 Real Housewives Who Only Lasted One Season “Just that they had a pretty good idea that their marriage was having problems. They did talk about it with her, and she knew it was going to happen.” There’s no denying that Bethenny is super smart. She collects information and uses it to her advantage when the opportunity arises.  Just look at the way she revealed Tom D’Agostino was doing the dirty on LuAnn de Lesseps.  It’s not like LuAnn believed any of it. She was far too blinded by love.  What do you think of all of this? Does this make you glad that Jules had exited the series after one season? 19 Real Housewives Who Only Lasted One Season

They can't all be Bethanys and Vickis.   While The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Miami, New Jersey, Orange County, Potomac (?) and New York (RIP, D.C.) catapulted some women into superstardom and/or infamy, others sort of came in with a whimper and were quietly shown the door at season's end. It's easy to forget who was part of the Bravo's greatest legacy, so The Hollywood Gossip has created a refresher course. You're welcome. 1. Jules Wainstein Wainstein was excited to join season eight of ‘The Real Housewives of New York’ before it premiered, but when her marriage fell apart and she filed for divorce in June 2016, Wainstein decided to focus on her family instead of returning to the franchise. 2. Larsa Pippen Pippen is one of Kim Kardashian’s closest friends, but even that claim to fame couldn’t keep her on ‘The Real Housewives of Miami.’ Pippen was a bit too normal for Bravo’s liking, so she only starred in season one before getting the boot. 3. Claudia Jordan Jordan was an actress before joining season 9 of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ and found herself in hot water for accidentally confirming that Jamie Foxx (with whom she’s worked) and Katie Holmes were dating in the summer of 2016. Jordan batracked and denied she knew anything about the couple. “A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities — some I know, some I don’t — a lot of times we just give a safe kind of generic answer,” Jordan told Entertainment Tonight. “Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them.” 4. Cristy Rice Rice divorced NBA star Greg Rice around the time that ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ had premiered in 2011. After lasting only one season, celeb gossip site The Dirty alleged that Rice was having an affair with Teo Hoffman, a wealthy Mormon business man with a family of his own. 5. Lydia McLaughlin Sweet, doe-eyed McLaughlin lasted all of one season ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ before voluntarily leaving. “I remember sitting on the couch [during the reunion special], having nothing to do with the conflict or the drama, but feeling so sad,” McLaughlin wrote in her 2015 book, ‘Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith and Happiness.’ “I sensed the Holy Spirit inside me saying, ‘You don’t have to be here.’ So I stood up and walked off set.” 6. Kathryn Edwards Edwards confirmed she was leaving ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ after just one season. Whether it was Bravo’s decision or hers, Edwards told People Magaizne that she walked away from the experience “with great feelings,” and no regrets. “It was definitely an adventure for me,” Edwards said. “I really am kind of a private person. It really just comes down to the time and what I value the most. I value those times with my husband and our friends. And I really didn’t want to miss another year. It’s nice to be able to live life.” View Slideshow

Jules Wainstein: Husband Files Shocking Divorce Papers

We already knew that Jules and Michael Wainstein were divorcing.  We didn’t know much about the reasons behind it, but Michael kindly filed the divorce papers and gave us a little insight into it all.  Michael filed the divorce on July 15, with reports claiming that Jules has very much been served.  Michael has listed the divorce as contested.  This means that the couple are at war and they require a judge to step in and set the terms of the divorce.  We’re still none the wiser about what really caused it, but it’s clear they’re struggling to agree on some things.  There’s even word that they’re using the same attorneys that represented Bethenny Frankel.  Are these attorneys somehow associated with Bravo? View Slideshow: 10 Craziest Moments in Real Housewives History There’s a good chance of that. It’s difficult to imagine that it can be much of a coincidence. Right?! If you recall, Bethenny’s divorce carried on for three years, so Waintsteins should probably get used to the fact that they aren’t parting quickly.  They have two children together. There’s no word on if there will be shared custody between the two of them.  Jules’ friend and cast mate, Ramona Singer recently spoke out about the whole divorce and made it clear that she would stand by her friend.  She also noted that she strictly abides by girl code.  If you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online , you probably know that Bethenny and Jules are far from best friends.  It does make for some first class TV.  What do you think about all of this?
