To cast the female lead in Hansel and Gretel , an upcoming “dark action movie” based on the already pretty dark children’s story of kidnapping and cannibalism, the producers sought out the hottest babes from all over the world, all of whom had done great nudity. From France, they looked at Eva Green , who stripped in The Dreamers . From Sweden came Noomi Rapace, who nakedly lezzed out in both The Girl Who Played with Fire and Dasiy Diamond . From Germany there was Diane Kruger , whose T&A made her the perfect Helen of Troy . And from the UK they looked at Gemma Arterton , who finally got the role, maybe because they saw her naked partertons in The Disappearance of Alice Creed . Based on the way they’ve been casting this movie Mr. Skin can only assume that the people behind Hansel and Gretel are looking to make some kind of skin-filled fantasy along the lines of Cinderella with blond B-movie babe Cheryl “Rainbeaux” Smith or Fairy Tales with naked scream queen Linnea Quigley . But if that’s the case, why not cast Eva, Noomi, and Diane as the three little pigs? Then Gemma can huff and puff and blow their clothes off. Can you Hansel that?

By Jocelyn Vena Amanda Seyfried and Gael Garcia Bernal in “Letters to Juliet” Photo: Summit Entertainment What is a guy to do when he doesn’t believe in romance, yet his grandmother wants to take him on a road trip to find her long-lost love? Well, in “Letters to Juliet,” Christopher Egan’s Charlie goes along with it, lets down his walls and eventually realizes that love isn’t as scary as he thinks it is. While Charlie is a Debbie Downer about love through most of the flick, Egan is anything but that guy in real life. “[I’m] more like Sophie,” he told MTV News, alluding to Amanda Seyfried’s upbeat character in the flick, opening Friday. “I’m pretty opposite to Charlie, which is why I had so much playing him too. To bring that jerk out and to be so nasty like that is fun.” In the film, Sophie answers a fifty-year-old letter a woman named Claire (Vanessa Redgrave) wrote to Juliet and stuck in a wall where the lovesick appeal to Shakespeare’s tragic character for help. Claire and her grandson Charlie soon fly to Verona and take Sophie along on a road trip to look for the man Claire lost touch with so many decades earlier. As it turns out, Egan had some experience in the Italian road-trip department. “I’ve done a road trip across Italy with a girlfriend, and that was very romantic,” he revealed. “I think that road trips are probably one of the romantic things you can do. The Royal Shakespeare Company began its latest production Such Tweet Sorrow , a 21st century remake of the classical play Romeo and Juliet . It will happen entirely on Twitter, since almost everybody uses Twitter, the company thought of setting up a trend to continue entertaining the people with such publicity. As the artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company told the BBC, “Mobile phones don’t need to be the antichrist for theater.” Characters like @julietcap16 and @LaurenceFriar have been posting their musings on daily life. Under the eyes of a director and some team of writers Juliet Capulet writes statuses like: “@Tybalt_Cap HEY! Shut it! It’s not our fault your [sic] in so much trouble! You have noone to blame but yourself!.” And @LaurenceFriar goes on about his murky past: “Perhaps I shouldn’t have told them about my role in the legalize cannabis campaign? hmm. There’s something meditative about skinning up.” It sounds weird but most of the Twitter users are enjoying these fictional activities. Some private citizens such as Helen Klein Ross, a New York-based advertiser who has written the Betty Draper Twitter feed since 2008, said that it’s the love for marketing that inspired her to create such page. Some popular shows like Glee, 24 and even some of the Stepehn King novels are venturing on the Twittervers. All in all, the blurbs from fictional characters on Twitter are hit or miss.
